June/July/August 2006 Code watch

I just checked my dates again June 30 -July 8. Every deluxe and moderate resort was available. For the first time in a long time, they even had WL Standard View available. POFQ (my most likely backup) still had both waterview and standard rooms available. They don't looked booked up to me.

And for August travelers I found August 6 thru 16 standard and all other rooms at AKL, BC, YC, BWI, CR, Poly, CRS, POR, POFQ, CBR, Pop, Sports, Movie...At WL everything available but standard, GF Lagoon view only, AllStar Movie preferred rooms only...
So August doesn't sound too bad either. Come on codes!!! :)

Everyone take a deep breath....and relax.

Every "waiting for codes" thread gets antsy when it gets close. There's nothing we can really do about it. Either they will release codes or they won't...but, I can't see why they wouldn't release codes for the middle of June. Heck, they are selling $36 rooms on Priceline for most of June.

If the rates are going to be released tomorrow, then we should see a few people get through tonight to secure those rates. That's what usually happens....the night / afternoon before the rates are released....some people get through and are able to book the rate before the official release.

Disney decided to split up the May and June season this year...but, looking back....rates being released around a month ahead of the first booking date is pretty normal:

2005 = Rates released on 3/9 for 4/17 bookings
2004 = Rates releasesd on 3/9 for 4/18 bookings
2003 = Rates released on 4/21 for 4/28 bookings

So...don't give up hope yet. We are about a month away from the next available AP date (6/4).

Speed :teleport:

Has there ever been a time in the last 3 years that Disney has left OUT a month from AP rates? Just curious? I know over major holidays, but just in general? NEVERMIND...I just looked at Mousesavers and since 2004 they have not skipped any month.

I was wondering the same thing? If it's true that they skip June, why? It doesn't make any sense to me. I know things are booking up fast, but normally the only times you don't see AP rates are during some of the peak season and holiday season (which all of us have come to expect). But why all of sudden would they skip June? Who controls the codes anyway? I want their job! :rolleyes:

I just called to try and adjust one of our grand gatherings rooms to standard view instead of pool view, which was available last night but is now sold out. I did chat with the CM a bit and she said that there have been NO rumors at all of them skipping dates. :woohoo: She did check her computer again because, "it should be any moment now and you never know when they will pop up". I did feel better after speaking with her and I am happy that I have nothing to do today except house work. I do think that tomorrow is the day and I agree with OP that kinggoofy has some inside info. :scratchin

I thought because of Star Wars. Also, better weather conditions than July and August, but that is only me speculating.

I can't tell you how much the positive-ness helps. Even if they end up skipping my week, the good vibes will get me through the waiting process! I think I'll go clean a bedroom and get it off my mind for a while.

It's like a little kid waiting for Christmas.
That's how I feel!!!!!!

I had to call this morning to switch our august trip from the Polynesian and BWI to all 8 nights at the BWI and had no trouble. I also had a real nice cm named Wilomenia (I know I butchered her name - sorry!) and there were no codes as of 9:30. I will be checking every day as we are going concierge level and the passholder codes can save us quite a bit.

Now I have to pick where we are going to eat....

It must be the week I'm going in mid-June. This is just a pre-cruise quickie. Maybe one of my dates are sold out or there's a function going on. I don't know. :confused3 I did find the room I wanted at AKL. :cool1: :thumbsup2 AAA rate to boot!

I really would like to see AP rates be released. It seems like they are waiting longer and longer to release them. Don't they know it drives DISers batty? :crazy:

" I do think that tomorrow is the day and I agree with OP that kinggoofy has some inside info. "

Tripplanner2...Honestly, I dont have any inside information. I had a nice chat with "Capucino" last week...he said all CM's are put on alert.

Then on thursday, I had another nice chat with a CM...( forgot the name..very nice gal, though ) she said..."Wednesday May 3rd you will be very happy".

We have been AP holders now for about 5 years...I think we all have a good idea how Disney works. We usually go in August but this year we have to go in June due to a friends wedding in August. The past 2 years...the AP codes have been released the 1st Wednesday in May...

During the NFL season...i dont bet against trends...trends dont "usually" lie.
I bet with the trends..and the trends for AP rates is the 1st Wednesday in May.

As i have said, I truly fear that parts or all of June will be skipped. A CM told me that June was 92% booked already. For giggles, he tried to get me my room at POR from June 14-25 NOW...he said, I couldnt book it now because it was not available. Only parts were available.

We are booked with AAA rate and will still stay at POR..with or without AP rate...will we be happy with the AAA rate...NO.

But I do hope everyone else for July - August gets what they wish.

"we are all in this thing together."

So we hope tomorrow is the day!

And my cure to get my mind off of it all?
I think I'll drive over to Magic Kingdom on Saturday and just have some plain ole fun with my little guy!

:goodvibes :sunny: :goodvibes

I don't agree with June being 92% booked, every time I look there's a ton of availability for dates. Very rarely do I have a choice in views at the Yacht Club without problems and as of now, every view is open for every date I check.

Thank you all for calling. How quickly do you think the codes will be posted on mousavers?

You can agree or disagree with the 92% booking comment...thats your choice. All I know is what Im told...POR is 92% booked for June and if I were to book my trip now..the dates I want would not be consecutively available at POR.

Thank you all for posting, callling, and keeping us updated on this nerve-wracking AP situation. I'm faithfully on here every morning at 7:00 and checking so many times during the day that I've lost count! You know you're a codeaholic when you're dreaming about AP rates! :rotfl2: We are leaving for WDW on June 8th for a nine-day trip. We really want to stay at the Yacht Club and are limited in our choices because we are a family of 5. If AP rates don't come out- it's off-site for us.... :sad2: :confused3 Here's to AP rates being released tomorrow!!!! :woohoo:

I don't think parts or all of June will be skipped....but I do think the rooms available will be very limited. I can't see them not offering a discount to book up any remaining rooms even though some resorts/views are already completely booked. The fact that they've sold some rooms to Priceline indicates that their interested in filling rooms even at a very low price point. Now that booking is up though, they aren't likely to release rates too early.

Well, I decided to call again, since I was home for lunch. Some of those CMs leave alot to be desired! :rolleyes:
The one I got just now never heard of General Codes to the public :lmao: , only APs and FL resident codes and said nothing was available. I could tell she was checking her computer as she said that! NOT!!!!

TC :cool1:

I just need AP rates for AKL Pool view (June 10th - 18th) so that I can get one of the AKL tickers ;)
