June/July/August 2006 Code watch

Thats a good question if they only release codes at 7am or through the day. I seem to only remember them being released in the early AM but I could be wrong. Anyone know?

In the past, a few people have gotten a code the night before they were to be released. Seems like a few CMs know how to get to a code when it's in the system but not really available. In those cases, some folks would post that they got a code, but others would call and they would be told, "No codes yet...". I think it's just who happened to answer our phone call...

The new Mickey Monitor should be for May. It isn't available on the passholder site yet, maybe the new discounts will be in it, soon.

I am getting so frustrated--we've never been made to wait this late for release of June rates! It really isn't the wait so much as the not knowing IF there is even a release coming for June! We need a hair pulling smilie!

My thoughts exactly! I just want to know IF there are going to be June codes! Just let us know one way or the other so we can move on and make our plans!

I went ahead and made ressies with a AAA rate through Disney. Phew at least they still had AAA rates! My dates are June 5-11th so it's unlikely we will get codes at this point. It was real tempting to move our check in date up to the 3rd just to get AP rates! If we hadn't already had plane tickets we might have done just that!

It might just be our lucky page! Or 101 or 102 etc. Or Tues or Wed etc....

In 2004 I found out the code a day before the release date on this website because a travel agent received the code the night before and gave it out a day early. Not sure if it was general public code or AP code. Either way thank goodness for her big mouth!!!!

I'm with you. I wish they would just say there aren't going to be June AP rates if that is the case so that I could stop thinking about this. While I haven't been posting as much as others, I have been checking this thread constantly for the past couple weeks and I am starting to get very tired of it. I just want this uncertainty to end.

I just looked at my planner from 2004, and saw that the general public code for summer that covered 4th of July week came out on June 8th! It was code XOA, and you saved a flat $75 a night on deluxes.

The summer AP code for 2004 (that also covered 4th of July) came out on May 5th.

It's not too late. I Predict there wii be an AP code this week, and a general code in early June, just like in 2004.

I called at lunch today and the cm said try back at the end of the month. I said "WHAT???THE END OF THE MONTH??? OUR CHECK IN IS JUNE 5."she kinda laughed and said they dont know its up to marketing. wouldnt tell me anything more.I agree if there arent any codes then tell us. But I am thinking if they are so booked up now like they are saying why are people getting AS for $39 a night even into June on priceline? Sometimes I think they just want to scare us into booking and not changing ressies.jmoh.But heres still hop ing.

Ah well, if the Star Wars Weekend celebrity schedule was a bit different I wouldn't be waiting for a code myself. As it is, my dh and ds want to go the weekend of June 9th (instead of the week before or earlier when I could have just booked an AP rate and been done with it!).

We really can wait until the last minute...I mean, if I'm going to have to book at rack rate I'll do it after June 3rd. At least at this point in the game I'm not worried about getting shut out all together.

I'm starting to believe that there won't be any ap or general public codes. I tried today to do a split stay and can't. Nothing available at any of the mods from 6/5-6/13. The only thing that pops up is ASMo or ASM, I'm already staying at POP so I'm not switching mid-trip to go over there.

I just tried to access the passholder site and got this error message:
"Sorry, a system error has occurred. Please try back later"

A few days ago I had called up and booked a 3nite stay at the fort wilderness cabins with the AAA discount rate. The person I spoke to I asked specifically if I could make a reservation online and still get the AAA rate applied to it later. I was told I could. So yesterday I booked 3nites at the Poly paying rack rate. Today I called up and they were not able to apply the AAA discount. They had to actually cancel the reservation and book it again then applying the AAA discount. I was lucky that they didn't run out of availability. The person I talked to did mention that when you book the reservation from the main site they are not able to apply any discounts. If you book it from the passholder side then they are able to apply discounts.

Our trip is also June 5 to June 12! I look at room availability on Expedia every so often and am amazed at how many rooms are UNAVAILABLE during that week. It makes me doubt any June discounts.

Every single CM that I've spoke with doesn't know why there shouldn't be so hopefully there is.

The "summer" Mickey Monitor is up on the member website now....earlier today it was the Feb. edition. It doesn't show any AP discounts beyond 6/3.

Read into that what you will....but I can't recall when they last didn't release any AP rates for a season. They do seem to wait until the last minute though.

Oh, and Trish....I checked my dates and all the mod and value resorts appear to be available for 6/9-6/11....except for CSR (my first choice, of course...LOL). So the weekend still has availability.
