I wanted to chime in here again because I think that the next round of AP rates may happen sooner than we're being led to believe.......

Looking on the WDW Passholder site, there are 2 AP "codes". The first is for dates of 02/20/06 - 04/08/06 (today)

Here's the quote from the site....

"Rate available most nights Sunday through Thursday 02/20/06 – 04/08/06 in a standard room. The number of rooms available at this rate are limited. Other room types are available at varying rates."


The second set of dates are for 04/23/06 - 06/03/06.....

Now, knowing that there can onle be 2 "codes" out there at a time & one expires today, one would assume that a new code should be available tomorrow, at the earliest.........Mabye Monday or Tuesday.......

The waiting is actually starting to kill some of the magic for me. I really hope that AP discounts come out on Monday or Tuesday of this week. I was supposed to go away with my husband, alone, for the first time that I can remember and my MIL got sick and can't take my kids. The only consilation will be if the discounts come out and I can move foward on our summer plans. Lets all hope for a little

I have two reservations for the month of July. The first 1 is for July 11 through the 17th with 10 day park tickets with the water option and the dining plan. The other reservation is for 10 day room only with the AAA rate.

I was thinking about changing it to all AAA rate and wing it without the dining plan. I happened to get a very nice CM and he convinced me that I was getting more of a discount by using the dining plan than taking the AAA rate for the 6 days. I realized in a way that he was right.

While I had him on the phone I decided to ask if he knew of any other discounts were coming out. He said if there were any that they would have come out before the free dining for August. So I guess the regular public is out of luck, but he said you never really know with Disney.

Then I asked him about codes coming out for the AP rate. He said that would give me a good discount on the room, but I would have to buy an AP if I didn't have it already and that might be more of an expense for me if I was going back within the year.

He said that AP discounts would come out at the end of April or the beginning of May because there is still a discount available until June 3rd. He said keep trying, but that is probably when it would happen.

For me it's not worth paying over $500 for an AP because I don't know if I could go back next year. I have to take it one year at a time whether I can go on vacation or not.

Hope this info helps those waiting for AP discounts. I was really looking for a package discount or a public code for discount on a room only rate.

The free dining sounds great, but I have my plane tickets and everything already for July. It's not worth paying rack rate and then paying the airlines a fee to change 3 tickets, and then to top it off it's hurricane season.

I know July is hurricane season also, but isn't it the beginning of it. I went to Florida last July and it only rained every afternoon.

Has anyone ever gotten a public discount for the month of July?

Thank you so much for posting this information. I am still going to keep up hope that something will pop up this week since there were 2 codes out for AP and now there is only one that is active. At least there is more evidance that AP rates will be released for the summer months.

DH Called yesterday & was told "possibly the end of April or beginning of MAY"!!!

I was told 2-3 weeks for AP rates ... that long ?
Yesterday, 4-9-06 I called and the CM said this week.

I thought the AP rates would be out by Friday, April 14th
It would make a great Easter present for my family

I can't imagine a code release on the 14th. That's Good Friday. I know its not a holiday for everyone, but it is for many and it just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm guessing either tomorrow or next Tuesday.
