June/July/August 2006 Code watch

Goodness, I had a package booked but I will save so much more with an AP and just paying out of pocket for dining. I am hoping for an AP rate July 18-22. Even with my AAA rate I am coming out so much better.

Called and asked about the AP rate for July 23-29. She was very helpful and said that based on past experiences, those rates would probably come out in April or early in May. I went ahead and reserved the Yacht Club for those dates at the full price, which means I'll just have less to pay once the AP rate is added.

I booked Riverside for July 6-17. I just apid off the balance today. Figured, if and when the AP rate comes out, I'll just use the credit for spending money down there. If it does come, should probably come to about $400 if not more for the 11 nights.

just joining the chant for the codes. i am planning my first solo trip and i was only doing universal to get in one more trip before my AP expires and since i just went to disney in december i was going to skip it. but then i started thinking of all of the things that i had to skip because my mom couldn't keep up and decided to tack a few days on at disney.

problem is that if the codes do not come out soon or the airfare goes down, i am going to be in trouble financially. the longer i wait to book......the longer my trip is becoming. i was doing 2 nights at disney and 2 nights at universal. i am now up to 3 nights at each. who knows, i may end up with 4 nights at each. once i book i never change the length of my stay so come on codes :worship:

Nothing online this a.m.--dates only good through 4/8/06 (which we know is actually 4/13/06)--patiently waiting. . . :crazy2: and hoping for some pixiedust: soon!

I'm a new comer and I am looking for a better rate for the last week of June 6 days at Disney and 4 days a Universal. I have AAA but has anything better came up. :confused3

We will possibly be trying to catch that last Star Wars weekend in June...I'll be watching to see what everyone is finding in the way of discounts... pixiedust:

Cool - nothing yet today?

Nothing official of course, but some booked ap rates for May and from another board the rates go through June 1st only not the usual 7/4 that they have done before.

I went and looked at Mousesavers and when the AP codes for April and May didn't include through the 7/4 date, the June codes were not released until 4/21 unless I'm reading that wrong on their "historical" page. It was in 2003 the last time they didn't group June with April and May.

So if it is true, that they are only being released through June 1st, if your vacation starts on June 1st, can you book for your entire stay? TIA!

That's they way it has worked before, yes.

I am so sad :( Our check in is june 5thru the 12th I was so excited last night I couldnt sleep. An ap shure would bring down my price at wilderness cabins. at the discount now it would be $179 a night before taxes. (we have 3 cabins reseved with a AAA $279 a night. for 7 nights. that would be a savings of $2100!!!! maybe they wil have better rates for June and July???? I would be happy with may rates. :worship: please code gods bless us :worship:

It appears the latest round of AP rates were released 60 days out from the earliest date of check-in. The AP rate was available through 4/13/06. From today's release date to 4/13/06 it is 51 days, but when you add in the "blacked out" (for lack of a better term) spring break dates in April (approximately 9), it adds up to 60 days.

If we use that same method to calculate the next round of dates released for AP booking (after 6/3/06), our AP release date would be somewhere around 4/6/06.

That is certainly a best case scenario--then again, Disney could make us wait until the beginning of the April release dates which would put us somewhere around the historical date of 4/21/06. Personally, I like my scenario better! :thumbsup2

Just trying to lighten the mood for those of us who had our hopes elevated this a.m.!

We have the Poly for July 3-July 14 for way to much for a sane person so I will continue to wait and pray for the same discounts of $100 off. If we got the same discounts that would be sooooo nice! :rotfl  :

It's a conspiracy to make us yearn for the "good-old" BRP -NOT!

So to get this straight AP rates for June/July might be released either the beginning of April or maybe the end, after the holidays:headache: ...

Is this depending on the weather - whether they feel like it or not? OR

Do you think they flip a coin?

I cannot believe they're basing it on occupancy levels.
