:yay: We leave on June 8th! We get more excited each day! (As if that's possible:confused3 ) Reading the boards always gets me pumped up.
Finally decided to join today!!:woohoo: Go me!

I just made the last payment on our trip!!! 50 days till we leave!!

We will be there that same week kt_mom!
We are so excited to!!!
We get more and more excited everyday. We are going to surprise my 5 year old brother and it is getting harder and harder to keep my mouth shut!

Myelf and Goofyluver are taking our familes on the 9th of June!!! I can't believe it is getting so close!!! Don't forget to check out the Focker Watchers and the Crock exchanges that are going on while we are down!!! Hope to meet some Dissers!!

I'll see you all there. June 7-10 Cocoa Beach. June 10-16 POR. I'm so excited I can't contain myself!! :goodvibes

We're there June 5-12. Got to pay that last payment this week, then it will seem really real. My DD is so excited, she starts giggling every time a Disney YOMD commercial comes on. Wait a minute, so do I... :yay:

Ah yes, EARSCOUT, the bill. That is due a week from today! As hard as it hurts, it does make the magic real! I noticed that our kids are about the same age: my DS 8 1/2 and DD will be 5 by the trip. Are you guys doing the DDP? Have you tried it in the past? We're still up in the air, thinking of adding it on. :confused3 (Actually a part of me just wants to call WDW so I can be put on hold and listen to the Disney tunes.:lmao: ) We have not tried it in the past. I am afraid DS and DD will get bored with the items on the children's menu. They're good eaters and like variety. Just thought I'd ask you and anyone else out there before I post on the DDP threads.

No, we haven't tried the DDP before (because it didn't exist 4 years ago) but we are this time. Yeah, I spent some time debating whether it was worth it, considering the kids menus and the fact my kids, DS especially, like grown-up food. I decided to do it for several reasons:

1. All of our TS's we picked and have ADR's for have either a buffet or the kids menu has something they want.
2. Even if the kids changed their mind, I've read that it might be possible to get kid-sized portions of adult meals to substitute
3. I expect we'll be so full from some of the meals, we can share with the kids
4. We'll recoup the cost of the DDP ($100/day for my family) just from the TS we picked, so whatever we do for CS and snacks are free
5. As for the CS menus, I plan to use Roaring Forks for a few breakfasts, and carry a pre-checked list of the CS with no kids menus for the parks.
6. Be prepared to pay OOP for anything else.

Can you guess I'm an engineer? The DW is ready to strangle me for all the analysis I've done.

Hope this helps. It's really an individual decision. Because of the DDP, we're going to eat better with more variety than ever before.

Thanks Earscout! MY DH will appreciate your analysis. He is an engineer too! I think we can manage TS its just CS the concerns me. THanks again for the help! Perhaps we'll see you at WL!

Sorry FlashScout! I've called you Earscout twice! I'm trying to multi-task here a bit unsuccessfully!:sad2:

That's OK, ma'am, I've been called much worse.

Have your engineer hubby go through the CS menus on allearsnet or wdwinfo and see which ones either don't have a kids menu or have one that yours will like. I know Pizza Planet at DS has no kids menu and we like it, so that's one day taken care of...

Hope to see y'all at WL. On the 9th we've got ADRs at AP for just the 2 of us. The kids will be in the Cubs Den.

I made our final payment one day last week, I think it posted on the 12th. :cool1: We leave June 1st after work and will drive 1/2 the way and get a cheapo room. We'll drive the other 1/2 the next day and check in on June 2, check out June 8th and repeat the process. :rotfl2:

I'm so excited!!!! Just 44 more days!

June 23-30th. My son is getting married at the wedding pavillion on june 25th with a reception at Living seas in Epcot. We can't wait

50 days!:cool1: Tommorrow will be seven weeks!!!!! Our countdonw chain in the kitchen is color-coded by weeks! Each color down means one week closer!!!

Pizza Planet is one of our favs. for CS  We ate there twice last trip b/c we knew everyone would be happy!:thumbsup2

Has anyone started packing yet? I've heard from people who have begun to pack for June? I may be excited but I can't think that far ahead of myself. Maybe Memorial Day weekend.

According to the little timer in the corner of my screen our schedule departure for WDW is 49d9h39m away. We'll drive to just before Tallahassee, spend the night at a KOA, then finish the trip to Fort Wilderness. We'll be there Jun 9-18. Since we have the 5th wheel we have already started to get some of the things into the trailer.

We'll be there in June too

June 9-14th at AKL and 14-19 at BCV - can't wait

Been watching all my Disney travel shows on my Tivo to add to the excitement til we leave - it sure getting a workout lol:hourglass

Things were coasting along in our countdown until the dog got run over yesterday. DW and DS were crying, DD was philosophical. Never really liked the dog that much, but he definitely left a hole. Add to that a very somber Aggie Muster last night (yeah, I know it's supposed to be the 21st - talk to the DW) and we lost our happy thought.

DD, on the other hand, is still doing the happy dance about Disney, school, and life in general. I've prayed with my son, reminding him of happy times with Buster, and have faith he'll find his happy thought and be ready to fly. For once, I'm glad Disney is more than a month away so that we'll be well past this.

 I think a stop for ice cream tonight after ball practice is just what the doctor ordered. :)

Yes, there will be another dog. :dog:

I'm sorry about your doggie, I would be balled up in a pile of tears if that were us, I understand your son's sadness. So sad, and yes, a trip to Disney will help to lighten everybody's moods.

On a lighter note, we leave June 16 and return on June 24! I'm so excited it's hard to concentrate on anything else.

It seems so far away, yet, I know June is really right around the corner! Come on June!!!!!

:thumbsup2

Thanks. Don't want to bring anybody down - I've always been more of a Tigger than an Eeyore - as if you couldn't guess from my avatar and sig. I just needed to get it out of my system before moving on to my task at hand - focus on work to clear the table for our trip. :thumbsup2

OK - back on topic - final payment has been made, ADR's set, now time to do the trickiest part - develop my park timing and strategy without letting the DW think I'm developing a strategy.:rolleyes1 The key is to make it look spontaneous and adjust the plan based on how the kiddoes feel.

I can already feel the excitement coming back. :woohoo:
