June Gloom question

We are much more familiar with WDW than DLR--in fact having made only one trip to DLR and that was in June, 2005 for the 50th. In 2011 (gotta start early) we are planning another trip out there for the same time of year. While there in 2005, the weather was experiencing what was called "June Gloom" when the days were not quite overcast, but not sunny either. Does this happen every year or is it subject to current weather conditions.

June Gloom happens every year. The mornings are overcast and give way to sunny skies usually by mid-morning or midday. This is very typical for June. Although it may be "ugly", it keeps things cool until the heat of July kicks in.

May Gray and June Gloom are just part of SoCal, every year! It's not always every day, but it's almost always every morning. But you can be almost guaranteed that it will NOT rain during June!

LOOOOOVE me some June gloom! I like wearing a sweater in the morning, and peeling down to t-shirt and shorts in the afternoon.

Yep, I have trouble convincing my Canadian sister that it is NOT going to rain, but the sun will come out. Unless you are the beach, then it could stay gloomy all day.

That was certainly the weather we experienced during our May/June trip last year. We were very surprised and a little disappointed as we thought that it would be quite warm by that time of year! We had a great time anyway, but because we love the heat we will probably wait to July or August to go next time. That is except for mine and DD's girl's only trip for Christmas this year!
