June & Father's Day isn't easy for everyone

As somebody who became estranged from her father ( his choice- stupid reason) and with his birthday also often falling on Father's Day it is a wierd month

Women who have a great relationship with their fathers have something special. I had a wonderful relationship with my grandfather from my mom's side.

My father got himself a new family when I was a young teen. So the holiday kind of hurts in that respect but I have an amazing husband and the focus is on him. He's a great dad. It helps but there will always be an empty spot.

Just a few more days of dragging all the extra around with me, hugs to all who are in the same weird unshakable fog.

Holidays and anniversaries are generally hard for those who lost loved ones.
Today would have been my moms birthday and tomorrow will be harder for me because I was really close to my dad.

But funny story for those who believe in signs from the after life:
Tonight in the way home from work I couldn’t find good songs on my regular car radio channels, I put it in a channel I rarely listen too and low and behild it starts playing a song that greatly reminded me of my mom and I was younger , we would meet at a local place and hear music and in the way home this particular song was hit then. I started laughing and said hi mom if you can hear me.
