June Exercise Challenge - 54 Challengers and 40,537 minutes completed!!!

I went to an hour Zumba class today brining my total to 1020/1680.

Hi everyone -

Life is great! But apparently making time for exercise means not making time for my laptop.... so I've got a lot of catching up to do!

I've been to my awesome new boot camp 4 more times (W, F, M, W), for an additional 240 minutes, plus I ran for 30 minutes on Tuesday, bringing me to a total of 510/1200.

Great work everyone -- fantastic to see so many minutes by so many people!

Welcome back! Glad you're doing so well and that you're enjoying that boot camp.

Walked the dogs this morning and then headed out solo for a C25K 28 minute run. I did OK. I had to walk three 60 second breaks. I am running a valley, so I figure when I stall out some of it is the hill action.

Another 60 minutes today. 460/850

I am on vacation! I am so thankful!!

I'm out of town today, but got up at 4:45 this morning to go to my Werq class at 5:15. Hopefully I can stay awake during my drive home tonight. I'm not used to getting up quite that early!! :rotfl: My new total is 1080/1680.
 
It was such a beautiful day today, I walked 10.2 miles to see if I could do it...I did. :faint: It kicked my butt, I think I neep a nap now. :goodvibes

today c25K outside It was beautiful! 38 minutes (did some extra sets!)

Walked to my walk today! That added an extra almost 1.5 miles! Then felt like I was in slow motion for a couple hours afterward. Don't know why it made me so pokey. Going out of town Saturday, but hope to maybe get a run in early. Or maybe when we get back Sunday night.

Keep moving! I love all the colors on the first page!

I tried Zumba but it hurt my knee. Maybe I was doing it wrong.:confused3 It looks so fun (even though it kicks your butt) so I was eager to try it. I ended up giving the DVD set to my daughter. Glad it works for you.:thumbsup2


I started working out at the gym only 3 days a week, giving myself a day of rest in between and I'm glad to say that I have been experiencing less pain and actually sleeping better. I still try to walk with my DH in the evenings when he gets home. Doesn't always happen.:rolleyes1

Today I did 35 min wt mach and 50 min cardio

I did 105 minutes today at the gym with weights and elliptical.

Another 30 minutes on the treadmill for me today......have fallen just short of 40% at the half way mark....need to step it up I think.

There is a lot of twisting so I see how it could hurt your knee. Our instructor had duct tape to put on the bottom of our shoes to help slide on the carpet but I didn't think it helped. I just pick my feet up rather than try to slide. Funny thing is I have DVDs that I have had for years and looked at once or twice when I first got them but I signed up for the class just as a change of pace and love it. I am thinking of joining the gym where it is held so I can go more than once a week.

50 minutes for me today. C25K. After much debate I decided to do walking intervals with the longer runs and it is working much better for me. I am able to further with adding in the walking. Today I did 4 minute run/1 minute walk. Over time I will try to increase the run intervals. Right now I just need to worry about the 5K next week then I get to focus on the 8K in September!

Walked for 60 minutes at work today (30 at lunch and 30 at the end of the day). New total

Walked dogs then ran yesterday. First back to back run and legs feel ok. 520/850!
