June Exercise Challenge - 54 Challengers and 40,537 minutes completed!!!

After a four mile run on Sunday, I'm at:

170/1200

My run didn't take as long as I thought it would, I was so excited when I got done!

Yeah, I'm at the halfway point after doing an hour of Zumba and an hour of Strong taking me to 840/1680. :yay:

Great job everyone - lots of minutes posted!

I'll update everyone tomorrow. My internet has been painfully slow at home and work has been so busy that I haven't even had that much time at lunch [which is when I usually update everyone's minutes]. I'll bet lots of folks will change color tomorrow!

I walked 7.1 miles today. My time was 121 minutes. At first I was disappointed at my time (17mm) but then I looked at the temp. and noticed it was 86 degrees when I got back. So I guess I'm ok with it. (for now!)

121 minutes today
new total: 565/1600

Good work on that long walk. Isn't dealing with the heat a total pain? I'll feel as if I'm working so hard then look at my pace to find that it's really slow. I have to remind myself that the heat is such a huge factor and things will be easier when the cooler weather comes back.

Just checking in to tell everybody to keep moving!

Don't think my numbers have changed. It's been a very busy last few days, and I'm about 50 posts behind in my reading of just this thread!

DS1 has officially graduated high school! I survived working the all night party for his class. I think just staying awake should count as exercise minutes! sheesh

Have 2 loads of laundry on the line and my family isn't even out of bed yet! Now it's time to shower and hopefully take the dog for a walk before we head out to DS2's basketball tournament and a wedding reception--both out of town. Only 3 more days of school here for DS2 (finals week so half days) then summer officially begins! :woohoo: Can't wait for 3 months off work!

Keep up the good work everybody!

Congratulations again on a job well done by both of you! Yes, working as a chaperone for an all night party is definitely exercise.

I hope you get a nice long break before things get busy again.

I am officially back at the gym as of Saturday - after almost a month off.
Did some time on the cross trainer, the bike, walking laps and some weight machines. Total of 90 minutes.
Then, came home and took a short break with some tv time and then got in the pool and did some jogging in the water using a noodle. Total time 30 minutes.

So, I am at 210/1000 so far this month! And have my bag packed for a gym trip after work today!

Good for you for getting back into the workout routine. And you're smart to pack your bag tonight! That seems to be the key for me to get out of bed to work out - knowing that everything is all ready for me to go.

Had a great weekend with DH but only managed one 30 minute walk yesterday. This morning, though, I did 35 min wt machines and 60 minutes cardio. For a total of 125 more minutes. Yea! (shoes are working out great!)

Hey, everyone, let's make this week our best ever...keep up your momentum! Good luck!

550/1200

Yay for the shoes. And thank you for the extra challenge - I think this crew can do it!

Hi! Had a garage sale over the weekend. Finally getting things back on track.

Walked the dogs on Sunday and got a walk in at work today. Hoping to get back at C25K this week with garage sale over!

I was 205/850 and now I am 343/850!

Also I lost 2 pounds so these minutes REALLY help!
:woohoo:

Nice to get confirmation on the scales about your hard work. Also nice getting rid of all that old stuff - two good accomplishments in one weekend.

Keep up the hard work, everyone. I know it's paying off! :goodvibes

busy busy busy night here at work. I was running from room to room until 1am. So I am going to claim 70 minutes of walking for the six hours. That should even out. That brings me halfway to my goal 450/900

I'm so behind! I've been so busy lately, I can not find the time to exercise! Yesterday my cousin and I took a mini road trip and we did a lot of hiking. At least 2 hours of walking around towns, coasts, paths and boardwalks.

New total:

190/1400

Just stopping by to say :woohoo: and :cheer2: for all the exercise challengers this month! :cool2:

Whew, between finishing up my last two courses and preparing for the movers next week, I'm tired!! But this morning my daughter and I took an hour long walk. Speed walking!!

415/1000

Thanks!
Lynda

690/1700

That's some walking, a stretching class, some painting, and a run. I don't know how you folks who live in warm climates do it! I ran at 8:15 last night when it was 70 degrees out and was soooo hot! The poor dog in his long black fur coat had that tongue a-hanging! Today it is raining. Should have waited! ;)

Gotta go paint the final coat on one section of the hall. Then can finally put all the painting supplies away!

Hi, everyone! Well, I just went back and skimmed all the pages I've missed while MIA. LOL! You guys are totally rocking this challenge!!! :cool1: Just think about how much more fit we will all be on July 1 compared to June 1!!!! :thumbsup2

I worked at Special Olympics on Friday and Saturday, being one of the food co-chairs, responsible for preparation and execution of over 6,000 meals. I was on my feet literally zipping around the area under the football stadium where all supplies are staged, meals are prepared, and most are served. Between running back and forth between all the prep and service stations, bending and lifting supplies, cleaning, moving tables & chairs, carrying cases of sodas, trays of sandwiches, etc., I wish I'd worn a pedometer and/or a heart rate monitor. What fun, though!! I LOVE this event!
The hours on Friday were 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. (then off to Opening Ceremonies) (calling it net 360 minutes)
Hours on Saturday were 7:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. [calling it net 210 minutes)

I took Sunday off, just some errands, mall walking, etc.

Monday - I did an hour on the elliptical and 45 minutes with K, my personal trainer (all weight lifting & core)

6/8- 360 mins
6/9 - 210 mins
6/11 - 105 mins

New total: 1,150

I really need to kick it up a notch.
Saturday 40 minutes C25K
Sunday 60 minute hike
Monday 35 minutes C25K

545/1600

ugh incredibly hot and humid outside, I got no sleep after work, I am kinda in dopey, sleep deprived mood, but I went out with lil princess in stroller, and walked for 30 minutes. So didn't want to, but glad I did and it is over. So now I am at 480/900 for the month. :woohoo:

Great job, Lynda. But did I count wrong? I have you at 385 for your last update and 415 for this one. Shouldn't it be 445?

After a four mile run on Sunday, I'm at:

170/1200

My run didn't take as long as I thought it would, I was so excited when I got done!

Congratulations on the run! I am a little confused though - your last update was 160 and now it's 170. If you ran 4 miles in 10 minutes, we need to sign you up for the Olympics!

So exciting that you got to do this!

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Not much from the weekend - went out of town leaving right after work Friday & returning Sunday. I worked out extra hard on Thursday though & between that, the 5 hour car ride each way & two nights on the sofa bed & gardening last night, I've been so sore & stiff. Finally went for a walk tonight & feel a bit better.

Sat - 11 min stretch / yoga
Mon - 33 abs, core, arms
Tues -46+8 walk / stretch Made it home just before the rain really started to get heavy!

new total - 361/900

Great job with the volunteer work, Cam! :thumbsup2

I just am not getting much exercise time in - too much craziness the last couple of weeks. The good news is that I should get to start ramping it up after tomorrow - if my hamstring holds out!
