I got the shore excursion reservation I wanted and an early check in time, so I'm pretty happy! Looking forward to receiving my stateroom assignment.... whenever that is!!!!

:woohoo:

I did too, except for Palo Brunch. I made DH promise he would stand in line on embarkation day to get this one so I can relax by the pool. He quickly followed with an under his breath "you'll do it anyway, you won't be able to sit still till its done RIGHT!" lol

Hi Everyone -
ADP and Family here. Our family will be on this cruise and can't wait. This is our 4th Disney cruise, but our first 7-nigher. Hope to see some of you on the ship! :beach:

Hey ADP, we are also from Indianapolis...there is another family on here from Indy, as well.

How old is your son? I have an 11 yr old.

Welcome!

I posted this on the fb page, but I know not everyone is over there....

...seeking advice on driving VS. flying...we have always flown before due to time constraints, but considering it will be June...no school.

Flying: Looks like it will be about $300/person (3 people), hotel night before and night after, meals, transportation to & from Port...rough $ estimate = $1400

Driving: about 1100 miles, 17 hours, only one driver, so....probably have to do hotels 2x on way down, maybe 1x on the way back to Indy, gas (which is currently $3.99/gallon), meals, parking at the port...rough $ estimate = $900-$1000...Im already worried about driving on the Saturday we return...yes, its a vacation, but Im always exhausted!!

Any thoughts? Honest opinions are respected & appreciated :) Thanks!

try and reserve a cabana and now they are Sold Out. Ugh! I don't think there is much chance of one becoming available, either, but I'm crossing my fingers. I really wanted to rent one, just to try something different!

Valerie

I believe that they hold back some of everything that you can reserve until the day of departure. This is so that everyone has a chance at it (instead of platinum and gold members grabbing everything).

Actually - That's my daughter. :lmao: Hard to tell from the picture since she has so much outerwear on. :) She'll be 12 when we go on the cruise. I'm sure they'll see each other in the Edge.

Thanks for the welcome. BTW - We are from Fishers. What part of town are you from? Also, you should check out the link in my signature. Our family hosts a Huge Disney meet over Labor Day weekend every year in Noblesville. since you are from Indy maybe you can make it. :)

Hi ADP!! We are from Fishers too!! And, I have an 11 year old daughter who will be 12 in August. She is in the 6th grade at Riverside. Where does your DD go to school? I also have a 15 year old son at FHS. I hope our daughters can meet.

It's a small world after all... :goodvibes

OMG ADP....I am sooooooo sorry! I am such an idiot!!!

I live on the east side of Indy...I teach in Warren township!

I will check out the link...sounds fun already!! Most of my friends think i am all the way "goofy", so it would be nice to hang around people who "get me"!

Hope to meet you on the cruise!! (again, Im sorry!)

Hi Samantha - Our daughter goes to Sand Creek Intermediate. Anna turns 12 in April (next month). I think it would be great if they could possibly hang out on the ship and at the Edge. We are second dining. I hope you are too. We are not traveling with anyone on this cruise. It's the first time we've cruised just by ourselves. We've always traveled with a group. We were kind of worried Anna wouldn't have anyone to hang out with. I'm not sure what our room number is yet....It's in GTY status. Stay in touch.

No problem. So glad you are considering coming to the meet. It's really a lot of fun. We've been doing it for 4 years and this is our 5th year. The crowd is usually around 100 or so. It's a great opportunity to meet new Disney people and possibly win a great prize. I hope we see each other on the ship and get a chance to meet.

I guess there will be a lot of Hoosiers on this cruise. We are coming from Fort Wayne. My Daughter is 11, so she is really looking forward to the Edge. Nice to know there will be some girls of a similar age.

Since we are a family of 5 we typically drive down and will do so on this trip. My in-laws live in St. Augustine, so we work that into the trip down to help break it up. Coming back you drive right by MCO and I always regret not flying at that point because the return trip is brutal.

Also, I saw on here that someone was hoping for a Cabana. I have one reserved at the family beach and would consider trying to split it for the day if there is any interest and we could work out the details.

GO IU!

It's a Hoosier cruise... :lmao: I'm so glad for another 11 year old girl. They will have a great time hanging out together. And, IU fans to boot!! :cool1:

Only 85 days until we leave!!

Hi to everyone new (even the Hoosier fans...we're Michigan State all the way!) My DH has a DD who lives in Lansing so we follow the Spartans pretty closely!

Nice to know we're not the only ones driving..we are heading from the UP of MI (about 1700 miles) and plan to make it with two stops on the way down. It's a bit of a rush for us but with our DD (13, turns 14 two days after the cruise) in school til the 6th we're not able to leave until mid-day that day anyway!

Looking forward to meeting everyone (or at least reading posts over the next couple of months!). The Facebook page is always REALLY active so if you can get on there it's a great way to communicate, too. I made a my own FB page for this cruise specifically to join that thread and find it's really convenient for cruise info (faster to get through the posts as I can just skip several posts about a particular thread!)

Hi if there is anyone that is fortunate enough to have a Cabana reserved, we would be interested in splitting the cost. We are a family of three, DD (11) and this is our first Disney Cruise. I think all of the Cabanas are currently reserved for this cruise.

Please send me a message if anyone is interested. pirate:

I will send a message once I figure out how. That is unless you are a Kentucky fan!

The Kentucky and Ohio State fans cannot afford to rent a cabana. We are spending all our money on Final Four gear.:cool1:

(Sorry, I couldn't help myself. March Madness brings out the worst in me.)
