Nassau for us is a quick run to the beer store for a case or two of Kalik Lights and back to Quiet Cove and a chair massage! Let us know if you win big in the Casino or get a great deal at the straw market. All fun things but this is gonna be total R&R for our lucky #10!

hey do you think we will get to see Prince of Persia on the ship? Also...does anyone know if they are still showing Alice In Wonderland (3D hopefully) on the ship too? I missed it in the theater and I still really want to see it! Just wondered if anyone has the inside scoop!!!

Can't believe how close we are! And how much we still have to do. Last day of school tomorrow and we will probably be in full Disney mode preparing all next week...

We started packing last weekend and have one suitcase of things we don't need between now and then, but still a good bit...trying to decide how many times I want to do laundry so we can decide how many clothes to bring....

No straw market for us! Last time we were in Nassau, we walked in and turned around and walked right out. Nothing worth seeing there! On the other hand, there are some very nice jewelry stores in Nassau if that is your thing. I am forbidden to enter any jewelry store, but I hope someone else gets something nice!
The last time we were in Nassau, it was just DH and me. We walked around looking for the most obnoxious t-shirt we could find to buy DS, as we knew he would probably hate anything we bought him anyway. We laughed our heads off, and when we gave him the t-shirt, he just rolled his eyes and said "Is this supposed to be funny?" We were weeping from laughter! Another amusing thing in Nassau is you have to walk through a little building to get from the port to the street, and it is filled with cheesy shops. One of them is called the "Congo Town Hall." We walked through that one just so we could say: "Yesterday, when I was in the Congo Town Hall..." Things seem so much funnier when you don't have your kids with you!

Sounds like there might be some funny and cheesy things to walk around a see, maybe we will get off the ship...but our leave our kids at the kids club.

will be bringing out the suite cases to air out this weekend for a few days before we start packing. Printed out all the trip tickets for our drive down we do not rely totally on the gps we have never been able to up date our tom tom. Hope others will post to the shutterfly account so we will be able to identify more disers. as of now we may be only going to the hard rock in Nassau.

Good morning!
Well, I wish I could say it was a happy Friday morning for me, thinking about our cruise in just over a week, but I am struggling today...need to vent here a bit, if you don't mind. I just got a phone call from our vet after a couple visits and blood samples and our dog is apparently very sick. I know it's a dog and not a person but she is a part of our family. (Bailey is a 7 year old chocolate lab - a big sweet mushy ball of love!) Apparently her platelet count is dangerously low and we are not sure yet why that is...could be a tick borne disease or it could be related to her kidneys, they just don't know. They are going to put her on heavy duty steriods and do further blood tests and maybe an xray to look at her other organs...?? I am beside myself. My kids are going to be hysterical. We are leaving on our cruise... I just hope we can get her started on the meds and figure out what it is...how to treat it, etc. We board her at the vet so that is the best place for her to be while we are gone... Anyway I am at work trying really hard not to cry. It sucks. Sorry to be a downer this morning but I can't help it.

So sorry about your doggie! We have two, and they are certainly full members of our family. If you are boarding him at the vet, he will be in good hands. Hopefully the medicine will help. Our thoughts are with you!

You never know, the cruise may be exactly what the family needs (therapy of sorts) to help deal with this. Your dog will be in good hands with the vet.

I am so sorry to hear about your doggy troubles! Our dog Cody is very much apart of our family and my heart would just break if he was sick. We also board at the vets b/c I feel if something happens they can help him.

On a lite note..i lost my big toenail at work yesterday...grrrrr!! I hit it w/ our 10 ton safe door....pain!!!! then the toe nail came off and all I could think was, dang- there goes my pedi for the cruise!!! I think I may buy some disney bandaids to hide my gross toe.....hope that makes you all smile a little

we have 3 dogs and 2 cats so certainly feel your concern about the dog. before our second cruise years ago our one cat became paralyzed and we agonized over it and unfortunately the outcome was not good and made the cruise bitter sweet. I will keep you in my prayers and hopefully they will have it under control before you leave. Good Luck
