Kate, Do you recall where or how you went to the beach in Cadiz? I thought we might find a beach after the aquarium in Portugal, but any other recommendations would be great. The Disney pool just doesn't match up to the sand.
Documents: We received our documents about a week later than others on the board. D also sent them regular mail, in the past it was always FedEx.
Hi
We went to a small beach called Balenario de la Calista, which was a very small harbour, so calm, warm water. There were were sunshades and chairs, which they came around and asked a euro for, but the showers were free.
Cadiz is very compact really and you can walk into town from the ship. But we got the HOHO bus right outside the ship. Below is a map of the route and Cadiz. It was around £12 ($18).

We started at Stop 10. Did a long ride around Cadiz, getting off once or twice, saw some Roman ruins etc., so saw a little of the area, then got off at the Cathedral Stop 6. and walked a few hundred yards to the square and through town, back down to the beach - stop 7. We had some time here and got the bus back to the ship.
I can't remember how long it took to get through the town, but our 4 year old did it OK. She loved being on the Open top bus in the sun, and the headphones gave good information in English.
On the bus tour, we went past Playa Victoria, which looked great, with long sandy beach and play area for the children. (stop 4). I think we may head off up to here later on in the day this time.
Don't forget that the shops shut around lunchtime for Siesta and all the locals go inside, or to the beach themselves until mid afternoon, so do what you want to do in town first thing. The market is also open in the mornings.
If you want a large shopping area and department store, El Cortes Ingles is fantastic, they are all over Spain, one in Barcelona too. Worth having a look! (stop 12), A few years back I got some great bargains in there, still wearing one evening dress now!
So much to do and so little time!!
Kate
