Monsters, Inc., How Ironic

Instead of relying on another mediocre IP-reskin like Avatar or Zootopia that literally no one has ever liked, they should come up with something original that matches the California and Hollywood theming like a ride where you get into a limo with your agent driving around LA and meeting celebrities.
And paparazzi can take your picture?

The biggest concern I have with DCA moving forward is the lack of rides for all ages. I'm assuming both Avengers rides will have a height requirement. I also assume Avatar will have a height requirement. I assume Coco will not, so that's the first ride that can serve as a replacement for younger kids in lieu of Monsters Inc.

Ideally, they would have been able to move Monsters Inc. to Pixar Pier and keep everything else that already exists back there. I know that would never happen due to cost and space constraints. The problem is that they keep getting rid of rides for young kids and not replacing them at all or replacing them with rides that have height requirements. We lost several rides in Bugs Land for Avengers Campus. I know Spiderman doesn't have a height requirement, but I wouldn't classify that as a ride for very young kids. Yes, they also moved Fliks Flyers to Pixar Pier as Inside Out.

More rides for ALL ages at DCA please!

I generally agree that they have not been making as many rides without height requirements. Like, it's crazy that Galaxy's Edge doesn't have one! It would be great to give the little ones something to enjoy there. It is good that Spider-Man doesn't have a height requirement, but a kid too little can't really play the game. They need to make more rides that have no height requirement, but also aren't necessarily just gered for kids - think Omnimover style things like Haunted Mansion - slow moving but with lots of artistry and story. Coco I am sure will at least fall into that category.

Yes, I agree with everything you wrote! Coco should be a great addition in the spirit of an old dark ride like HM.

At least with Galaxy's Edge there's Winnie the Pooh and Fantasyland very close by. This allows parties to easily split up, if needed. For example, I might ride Pooh with a younger kid while others visit ROTR. There's just not as much opportunity to do that in DCA. The only exception would be Pixar Pier. There's numerous things for little kids to do while taller party members do Incredicoaster.

Maybe this is an odd and unrealistic opinion but I’d love to see a couple of attractions added to different areas in DCA, especially Avengers Campus and whatever the new areas will be, where they’re not e-ticket and won’t have super long lines. Something where you can have a short wait, sit down for a few minutes, and just chill out while being on an attraction.

I’d compare it to something like (first thing to come to mind) Figment in Epcot or people mover in MK. Monsters Inc used to provide that way back when.

Oh, classic Epcot was the king of this! I agree that they need more of it. For Galaxy's Edge I have suggested before an omnimover (or similar) type thing that takes you through the history of the Galaxy (like Spaceship Earth) - basically cover the major events and eras from teh Republic, Empire, New Republic, etc. For Avengers maybe something like a tour of Superhero tech - fits right in with the Stark Labs stuff.

That would be great for someone like me who doesn’t know the backstory and doesn’t follow the IP. Also for the Marvel stuff.

I’m weird, I love the parks. I’ve never seen a lot of the Star Wars stuff, never seen any Marvel, never seen any Harry Potter. But the theming and all that is all so amazing. I’m at a point now where I’d like a little context when visiting the parks. Omnimover ride would be awesome.
