June 3rd 07 Anyone going???

You won't be parasailing alone.
My husband and 10 year old son also put this at the top of their list.
I think I might feed the stingrays.

We should get a group together to see POTC! pirate:

117 more days!!!

sorry, I can't help it. I countdown before every vacation :)

That's OK, we do the same thing! We have a Disney Christmas countdown calendar and we use it for trips instead of Christmas usually!:rotfl2:Thanks for the reminder, we got up and did the :cool1: when I read your post!

The dates for Star Wars Weekends are out and the first one is right before our cruise! June 1,2,3.
Are any of you fellow SW geeks going?
We plan to be there on Saturday, June 2.
We've never been on a SSW before--- can't wait for that either.

We will be going to the parks after the cruise.:darth:
You will have a great time though, but expect crowds at MGM. If you
are planning to eat at a TS restaurant, be sure to make your ressies soon.

We're doing the parks after the cruise too! I'm afraid it will be hot and crowded, but still it will be fun. Can't wait!!

Thanks for the reminder on dinner ressies. I'm finishing mine right now. We love Canada's Le Cellier. We're eating there twice during our four days at the parks. :thumbsup2
I thought about TS at MGM but I'm worried it won't leave enough time to do all the SWW activities. :darth: (Didn't know they had this icon until I saw yours. Too cute.)

Have any of ya'll done the Jedi Training Academy? This sounds so cool.

Also, I'm loving the thread about taking a photo mat on board the Wonder and having all the charachters sign it. What a great frame for your favorite photo.

Any day my 2007 Cruise Passporter should arrive.

It will be hot, but not unbearable. We went this time last year, and I was really dreading it because we usually go during the fall and spring, but I had a great time. One really important word to remember....FASTPASS!!!:rotfl2:and
choose your battles. Walk past the long lines and go on to the next ride. You can always come back. We really took advantage of the EMH's and that helped.
No, we haven't done the Jedi Training Academy. It does look very cool! It might not hurt to make a Mama Melrose ressie for that day. The service is usually pretty good there, and it might be nice to get inside out of the heat and regroup for a time.
We are getting excited too! My older DS and DH are going in April, so they will get a Disney fix before my younger DS and I will.

LVSWL--- How often do ya'll get to go to WDW???? Sooo lucky!
Well, actually we have a really bad case of disneyitis. My husband's condition is terminal :lmao: Not sure if he can be cured except by multiple visits per year. Usually we try to go 2 times per year now, used to be three, but school schedules have gotten in the way.:sad2:

MickeyMania, if you get a chance, check out the thread titled "our first disney cruise...". On page two someone posted pics of their parasailing excursion for me to see at CC. So cool..:woohoo:

WOW! Thanks for telling me about the photos. I just showed my son. He is ready to go.
Right now Tanner and my husband are planning on going parasailing. I thought I was going to do the stingray excursion. But now that I see the photos I'm undecided. I can't sign up until 75 days out so I guess I have some time to decide/change my mind/decide/change my mind etc. etc.

By the way today is out 20th wedding anniversary!!!! We're going to go see Lion King on Saturday to celebrate. This is the first time the touring broadway show has come to Austin. Have any of ya'll seen it???

Congratulations! We didn't see the show when it came here, but heard it was fantastic! Happy 20th! We have ours in October.

Hi! My daughter (4yrs. old) and I are heading on our first DCL cruise on the 3rd of June also. We are so excited. I am recovering from back surgery and it is giving me motivation. My surgeon has already busted me for sitting at the computer for too long researching this trip! Why didn't I lie?? I think my daughter and I are going to make a quick trip to ride a surrey in Nassau and then head straight back to the boat. Since we are traveling alone I don't want to take any chances. I am glad to have found this thread. I have found 2 other families traveling also online. I am glad someone is doing a countdown. I am also fashioning our pirate gear. My DD has her princess dresses ready to go. I have also booked the Mexican Riviera for next summer. I figure it will make going back to school less painful in Aug. I look forward to talking to everyone before we go!:cheer2:

:welcome: livvysmom! So glad you found us! We are all just exchanging ideas about what to do in Nassau and on Castaway Cay. So glad that you can make the cruise. Really, what were you thinking spilling to the doctor!!!
Lucky you planning two cruises!:woohoo:

I just showed my daughter, Olivia, what the life jackets look like and explained the drill the best I could to a 4 yr old. Someone posted a cute picture. She looks at me and replies, "I will not wear dat jacket mom!" I told her it was a law and we would be booted off the boat. She asked if Minnie, Mickey and Goofy will be wearing theirs. I say "yes". Please tell me they wear jackets!! If not, you will see a pretty little girl with long black hair being drug along by her mother to her muster station!

My back and leg is still having major muscle spasms. I don't know if it because she is home and requiring alot out of me or if it is because I am sitting on the computer obsessing over this cruise!! If the snow would melt and allow me to go out and walk! I still have 6 weeks until I go back to school.

I think for Nassau we are going to ride the surrey and hit one little shop and then go back to the boat and enjoy it. I am afraid to explore Nassau on our own. What is everyone else doing? I think being a bum on Castaway Cay is our plan there!

livvismom, it has been a while since I cruised, so someone else might be a better person to answer the life jacket question, but I will make a stab at it.
It seems to me that when we were standing there with ours on being shown all about the life jackets, that Mickey was there, possibly Minnie, really not sure about Goofy. Hope that helps. Hope someone else chimes in if it is really important.
I hope that you start to feel better soon. It is tough to be stuck inside and not able to get the excercise that you need, especially when you need that to be recouperating. Is there somewhere that you can walk inside?
Our plans for Nassau are still up in the air. We will probably just tour on our own, and also check out the straw market. Not totally sure yet. Castaway Cay is fun to just hang out and spend time on the beach and eat a great meal. You can pack your own sand toys or buy some there, although they do go fast we found. A shovel and pail are a good idea for a four year old I think. We are thinking about parasailing, but my kids are older. Last time we just hung out and relaxed on the beach. It is fun to see Goofy ride by on the jet ski!:goofy:

In case ya'll missed another thread about parasailing I wanted to give you a heads-up. Apparently some people are having their CC parasailing excursions cancelled by Disney because of issues with the vendor. This is happening for cruises in early March.
I'm hoping any problems will be resolved by our cruise, but.....

We were really looking forward to this, so I'll just have happy thoughts.
Maybe the stingrays are calling our names!;)

Also, I just got my new Passporter 2007 Cruise Guide and if you have any questions please let me know.
