June 3, 2006 - Disney Magic Western Carribean

Just especially happy today after our Steelers won the Superbowl! I have to say that Seattle played a very good game. If it wasn't for the Steelers, I would have been rootin' for the Seahawks, because they had never been there before.

Also, just finished doing our taxes and mailed them out today. That's a good feeling! We'll probably be using part of our return as back-up for $ on the cruise.

How's everyone else? Our roads were a little slick this morning from the inch or so of snow we received last evening. So far, we've had a mild winter here in Western PA, but we've also had some of our worst snow storms in the middle of March. It's not over yet, but when it is, we'll be that much closer to our cruise!!

Hi Great to see another Steeler fan on the board. Great game and much joy here in Steeler country! :cool1: :yay: :cheer2: Just 4 more months and we will be in the middle of our cruise! :Pinkbounc

Go Giants. Sorry, with all of this Steeler talk I felt it just had to be said. Congratulations to all of you Steeler fans. :cheer2:

DVC Jen,
I teach, too. 2nd grade. What about you? How did you guys get today off?

We will be off soon for Mardi Gras.

Will June 3 ever get here???????????????????????????

Rain has finally stopped - no snow here south of Atlanta -- DS was dissappointed since he had to go to school. He was hoping we would get some of the white stuff.

DH was rooting for the Seahawks, I was watching the commercials. Some were very funny and some were just odd. But it was fun to watch.

I am going to sit down and do taxes today - yuck! - I hope we get a refund so we can use it for the cruise, among other things. :)

Howdy - Happy Tuesday evening to all.

I hate taxes and Kentucky winter weather (wish I could send our rain snow to OK!!!!). I am trying to stay positive by listening to Buffet tunes and thinking about DCL cruisin' :sunny: Can't wait for the sendoff from Canaveral!!

To pass the time while pining away for the cruise, thought some folks might be interested in designing door signs for their cabins..I always wondered where people got the Disney fonts for their door signs. I finally found them and thought others might be interested as well.

Cinlyn,

We would love your rain in Oklahoma. Please, Please send us some. Our water levels are so low I'm afraid of what is going to happen this summer.
So many of our open areas and even neighborhoods have burned.

Taxes for me today too

Did not care who won the ballgame. :Pinkbounc Not a football fan. :wave2:

Kids are finally over strep :woohoo:

Getting ready for a big (8) birthday at Build A Bear.

Never to stop thinking of the cruise :cool1:

:sunny:

Imok - glad to hear your kids are over strep. So far, mine haven't had it, but winter isn't over yet.

How do all of you plan on keeping cool (other than staying in the water) while in the ports? I was debating on whether to purchase misty fans, hats, etc.

Anybody going to WDW after the cruise? We will be staying off sight for the week afterwards. The only other time we were down to WDW, we stayed at Port Orleans. I'm wondering how it will be with parking ourselves instead of just getting on a bus. It was so nice to have someone else do the driving.

Hey Tammy,

As far as the heat goes, living in Mobile, Al., it really isn't that much different. :sunny: The sun is a little more intense, but with our humidity, it is just as hot.

Just wish the cruise would get here. I mailed my final payment yesterday.
Getting ready to start booking things.

Greetings,
We are joining your cruise date!!

I've got spring fever soooooo bad. The weather here today is clear blue skies and sunshine and I've been listening to Jimmy Buffett Live in Hawaii. I want to go to the FL Keys soooooooo bad! I may get to go in April.

Welcome Aboard Matty,

Hey Legs,

My final payment was due around March 9, but my Visa sent me a counter check for 2.99% for the life of the check. So I wanted to allow plenty of time for the transaction. Disney Cruise has become so expensive that it is hard to pay off prior to the cruise.

Our 1st cruise in 2004 we were in a cat4 and our cabin was $1,000 cheaper than my cat 8 this cruise. Way to much of a price increase. But our kids are only this age once so it's worth it. :thumbsup2

Have a good nite everyone.

Look forward to talking to you Matty :wave2:

Hi Matty

Hey Legs -- Our final payment date was March 20, but I went ahead and charged the rest a few weeks ago. I want to be completely paid up by March 5 so I can make ressies for Palo, excursions, kid's club, etc... I'm going to use part of our refund (I just finished taxes! :cool1: ) to pay off the credit card.

:welcome: Matty. Glad to have you on board!!

I am so ready for this weekend :yay: Have been dealing with OSHA and I need a vacation now!!! We are getting closer though :cool1:

Thanks for the welcome! Each cruise we have taken it has been great to get to know some people before hand via the disboards. We look forward to meet you all. Is there a kids board for this cruise as well? Anyone else from the Midwest?
