I have never been sea sick. I used the patch the first time and got all of the side effects. I did not read them before I used the patch. It tells you if you have asthma you will get worse. Well, I have asthma and could not stop coughing. I was choking. It tells you that you could get blurry vision. Well, I got blurry vision. It tells you that you will be really thirsty. Well, I could not stop drinking. At dinner I could not read the menu. I told the waiter to bring me whatever he thought was best. He looked at me really strange. I told him I could not read the menu. My husband asked me what is going on. I told him that I think I have become diabetic. I told him I think those are the signs. He thought I was nuts. He kept telling me you cannot become diabetic over three nights on a cruise. I then had him help me read the side effects. I had all of them. So, I tore off the patch and decided I would rather be sea sick then crazy. Since then I have never used any type of patch. Now that is pretty amazing since I get sick in the car when we are driving to town.

By the next morning I felt fine. But, I was really scared. I really thought I became diabetic. I am amazed that I do not get sick on the ship. Maybe Mickey takes care of me. I just love Mickey.

You mean me don't you mickeyteachers? That's a scary thing though...not knowing what's happening with your body at any given time. I would've been at the doctor each day!! I'm paranoid that way...if something's off, and I'm not feeling just 'right' I get nervous.

I'm just jumping in and back out - have stuff to do tonight - BUT - this has been so fun today - I am really looking forward to meeting you both (Sophia & Mickey is ??) - as you know I'll be w/my grandson - but its nice to know that some Fun adults are around to "play" with!!!!!

My DW, Marlinmary uses the patch and does quite well with it. She may not get sick without it, but doesn't get the side effects and would rather wear it should we hit some seas as it does take a few hours to take effect on her. In fact she'll usually put one on the night before sailaway at the hotel (which we usually always stay in before a cruise we fly to).

I'm just glad we're able to do these types of things for our grandkids. I wished we were able to do them for our kids, but things change. They are glad we're able to take their kids off their hands for a week but disappointed they aren't included (or should I say VERY jealous). Now we're getting the "oh, that's nice" from our two daughters (the mothers of the gk's) when we bring up something about the cruise.

We've got our excursions all lined up, however the kids KNOW NOTHING about cruising and/or excursions. Wait until we're in a cab and we tell them they're going horseback riding or swimming with Dolphins. This is going to be a blast! I even bought a new camcorder that can be used in water (shallow) - it's made by Sanyo. I thought I read somewhere there is wireless available in the cabins - is this so? I can see if they do, I'll be losing a lot of sleep and lotsa money on minutes sending home photos and stuff.

My mom wears the patch and has never had the side effects. She has told me it really helps her. I always get the side effects from every medicine I have taken. So, I guess I should of expected that from the patch.
I just cancelled one of our excurissions. It was in Puerto Vallarta. It was the cooking one. I read several reviews and it did not sound very good. So, we are now going to tour the city. In Cabo my husband is driving the race car. He is pretty excited. My mom and my kids are touring the city. In Mazatlan we are going to go to the beach. They have this excurision that visits the beach at Playa De Mazatlan. When I was child we stayed at this hotel. So, my mom and I must go back and see this hotel. My husband and kids should have fun at the beach. I hope it is fun.
I guess I should get back to sewing. My husband said I am addicted to Disney Boards. I don't know what he is thinking. I only check it every hour. If I was addicted I would get up during the night and check disboards.

Awww...that's nice Grandma x3...ok...Mickey is ?? Ronda...yup...that's my name. By the way...I LOVE the Beach Boys!! 'Help me Ronda' was the BEST SONG EVER!! Anyway, I absolutely can't wait to meet everyone as well!!!!

oh - gosh - I don't get sea sick - I am so sorry about you having a bad reaction to the patch.
My DH will go on his FIRST cruse ever on the PC Repo - and he's worried. Now, we sail on the San Francisco Bay - and it can be rough. He's never been bothered - but - this is the OCEAN!! Hopefully he'll be fine - but sometimes its mind over matter - so I'm bringing along some meds for him.
Oh well!!
