June 29, 2008 - Magic - West Coast!!!!

I think of myself as a light packer. I think that sometimes we dont think we are going to wear thoes capris twice, but we really are:) Anyways, I write a list of all my outfits, and know that the dress that I wear to the brunch, I'll also wear to one of my dinners. I have a pair of white linen pants that I'm wearing onboard, but Im wearing them again with another shirt on another night. If they are dirty.....well then I guess I'll wear that dress again;) I am bringing about 4 swimsuits though, and my Disney Princess sweats:cutie:

Yeah...I try to be organized and make lists too. My kids will definitely want to wear a pair of shorts twice, or Tori's cover-up she'll want to wear more than once. I guess I'll just be planning on that. I was just out today looking at new suits. I better get a move on though and prepare myself a little faster...time's already flyin' by this month!

I love to shop on QVC.....they have a line of swimwear called It Figures. I really like there stuff. Just know that if you order a suit, order it one size bigger. They run small. Really cute stuff. You will get it in about a week or so.

Awesome...thanks for the tip. I'll have to check it out! ;)

So I was reading a little about boarding the ship....and I read that they announce your name?!? Oh my goodness...I may just cry  Does anyone know why Disney does this? I mean I'm certainly NOT complaining...I love the idea. But are there people around? Does the entire ship hear it or just the level you're walking onto? :confused3 I need to remind myself to bring tissues ;)

I think they announce your family like Cinderella going to the ball. Smile, wave, and do a little bow!!!!!! That crying face with the tears made me laugh hard!!! This is going to be so much fun. Hey...Guess what? I'm wearing a gown:) :) :) :bride:

They also have a line of crew that greet you and clap hands. It is really special. I cry everytime we get on board. It is extra special. They also announce where you are from. It is so wonderful.
I have started putting everything I plan on taking with us in my bedrooom. I will then start going over each item and decide if I really need that item. I purchased my son a bunch of little gifts that I will put in his fish extender so he thinks Mickey Mouse puts them in his fish extender. I also have his special gifts from Mickey Mouse that I put on his bed in his stateroom with a special note from Mickey. I have been working on my door decorations and magnets for the door. Ok, I know I go a little overboard. My husband just shakes his head and keeps telling me if this is what makes you happy then keep creating your Disney creations.

OMG you guys...that info just makes me so emotional!! I absolutely can't wait. :goodvibes I just want there to be a way to slow time down while we're on the ship. There has to be a way! ;)

I remember NOT being announced, for whatever reason, the last time we boarded.

I ordered flowers for the room. I booked this trip in Feb of 2007, so this is a little unreal that we are so close.

WOW - I am a member of CC and have been lurking and posting over there for several years. Usually a Princess fan and get on there board and roll calls there. I was surprised to see how little action there was on the CC Disney boards but when I found this now I know why.

My DW and I are taking our granddaughters on their first cruise so, of course, it has to be Disney. They are 4, 6 & 9 and have been to Disneyland several times. We were excited to see Disney coming to the West Coast we didn't have a chance to go with them during the 50th bday party.

Anyway, I got a lot of catching up to do and we'll catch up with you later.

Welcome Marlin,
Wow, Your Granddaughters are sure lucky girls. I remember that I think my grandpa came over to our house with some chocolate once....but I could be wrong;) :lmao: :lmao: We are going to have a wonderful time::yes::

Hi Grandma x3...Mazatlan Frank sure has helped a lot of people on these boards. I feel bad that we won't be going ashore in Mazatlan to help him out. We're doing an excursion in PV, but decided to stay on the ship for the first two ports. Sorry!! Hopefully you can find someone to go with you ;)

Gee, thanks for responding. :worship:

I haven't posted here much as I'm very involved in the EB PC REPO. But, since I'll be w/you all for a week I thought I'd try to get to know what's going on.
I booked Dophin Swim in Cabo & private Zip-line tour in PV. All I've got left is Mazatlan.

This is my summer of Disney cruising - 1st this one - then the PC Repo - then I'm staying onboard for the 5day Bahamas afterwards. 27 Days on boarad this summer - that's how I spell Heaven!!
