June 28 - July 4...anyone else with us?

Good afternoon everyone...

We are leaving for Disney from June 28 to July 4 then off on a Bahamas cruise... We will be celebrating my son's and my birthday's in Disney. My son doesn't know it, but my parents are flying down the day before his birthday to surprise him, then they are coming on the cruise with us!!!

Anyone else going down to WDW the same time as us???

We are!!
My last day of school is June 28th (teachers have to go on the Monday after the Fri the kids are done. This is to make up the Family Day holiday they gave us....) Anyhow, we leave to stay in Detroit that night and fly out the next morning June 29th. We are staying at Beach Club until July 4th then at Animal Kingdom Kidani until July 7th. My only afterthought after I booked this trip was....July 4th will be busy. That day we plan to avoid the parks and do a water park instead or Animal Kingdom park we figure will be least busy on the 4th since they will not have fireworks.
I cannot wait until this trip. I am looking forward to a nice break from work. Are you doing the Disney cruise??
We did the Disney Wonder in March--FABULOUS!!!

We are there the 30th to 6th. My daughter is in a dance competition at the Dolphin! Looking forward to it. Haven't been for July 4th since 1991. Looking forward to the fireworks!

Glad to see we are not alone! Louie, we are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge before our cruise. It is not a Disney cruise...we went on the Disney Magic a few years ago and loved it! I didn't think anything could compete, but since then, we've sailed Royal Caribbean a few times and Carnival too and love them both as well.

Lisa Anne, good luck with your daughters dance competition. Originally we wanted to stay at the Dolphin, but all the rooms were booked up....I guess that's why

We went to Disney in July 2 years ago and loved every minute of it. We were at the parks at rope drop, back to the hotel for a swim in the afternoon, followed by some rest in the room, then back to the parks. We didn't find the heat too unbearable doing it that way, and the crowds weren't as bad as we anticipated.

Well, I just made my final payment for Disney and our cruise... Now I just hope the clock moves a little bit quicker so June 28 will arrive!

This trip can't come soon enough.
Now I am getting super pumped!!
This will be our first stay as DVC members.
Also, we are looking forward to returning to Typhoon Lagoon as it was under refurb. when we last did waterparks.
I prefer Typhoon Lagoon over BB. It should be good and hot for a water day.

We are going the week before school starts back (at akl lodge too)- can't you swing that week too?
Another family from Chatham are going the same time as you. They have no adrs or plans yet- I almost fell over and fainted right then -I think I scared the lady though!
