The following day was at Disney?s private island, Castaway Cay. It is very nicely set up with 4 separate areas: for families, for children in programs with their counselors, for teens, and for adults. The water was clear as bathwater. I explored the beaches briefly (took my scooter off the ship and rode the 2 trams out to the distant adult beach) and then went back onto the air-conditioned ship.
Our teens played in the water for a couple hours and got bad sunburns (?no, we don?t need sunscreen?).
My husband set a beach chair into the water at the adults? beach and enjoyed the water until he saw a barracuda chasing an angel fish. That was his sign to return to the ship.
Oh, 3 days is way too brief (a 4th day would have been truly enjoyable)! That night we had to put all luggage except hand luggage into the hallway by 11 p.m. It?s amazing how much stuff you can unpack and then have to repack all at once.
