~June 27, 2009 Western, anyone?~

After reading some reviews about the Wave Runners at CC we might cancel those two. $320.00 for 45 minutes at slow speed just doesn't seem worth it (have any of you done it???).

Formal night: I think the guys are going to do black shirts black pants and red or white ties. But DD and I still have nothing to wear... what I have is appropriate for winter, not summer... (and it's a little tight :headache:).

I forgot to ask: do we have a set number of days for FE or is it up to us? Do we have the latest list of participants?

Have a great day...
Rosie

Hi Rosie - yeah, the formal outfits are always a challenge. DH is taking a dark suit and also a pair of dressy tan pants, then he'll sorta mix & match things around for formal, semi-formal, and Palo nights. Couple of ties & shirts and he's all set. DS is going to take nice pants/shirts and a tie or two, no jacket for him. One of these trips, I'd love to go with tuxedos for the guys, but not this year ...

DD ordered a few dresses from Forever 21 online. We had to weed through those that are not appropriate for a 13-year-old :scared1: but she did end up with some cute ones. Me, I'm always cold, so while everybody else wears great sun dresses, they just don't work for me. So I'm taking a black skirt and a few different dressy tops that have sleeves so I don't freeze in the dining rooms. Same shoes with all to make it easy.

Good luck with your search!!

I'm pretty certain that the list for FE is still the same. In total, 6 families of 4. So 20 people not counting your family. (Also, I think we're having a contest for the most disastrous FE ... ha ha! Bring a prize for ME!)

We've never done the wave runners at CC. I agree it does sound a little bit pricey ... we're just 'winging' that day, don't have anything planned. Although my kids are eyeing the teen excursion - anybody know if Disney still runs that?

Wow, $320.00 for 45 minutes at slow speed? That's a lot! My husband is completing his certification dive this weekend and is really looking forward to diving in GC. We're actually going to Bethlehem PA this weekend for him and my niece to do their last dive at Dutch Springs quarry. I'm going along for the ride and to get away from the house for a night. Should be fun! Then on Sunday, I'm looking to do some serious thinking about packing. We always put things in clothes baskets to organize because we don't have a spare room at this point. Walt knows I'm serious when the clothes baskets come out! 16 days and counting!

Hi all
I have been away from the boards for what seems a long time (yeah right) and had some reading to do to feel caught up on things.
We too had the waverunners booked for CC and cancelled them last week after rethinking the cost and the fact that it's our first trip and I don't want to pack too much into the days.
The boys (I hope) are set for formal and semi formal night with black dress pants, a sportscoat and a couple of dress shirts and ties. I am trying not to make too many piles :rotfl2:for the suitcases. DH asked me today how many suitcases I was thinking about taking?????? Yikes!
Mary I will PM you as we get closer to leaving so we can make some plans to meet at OKW and I am certain my FE will be taking the first place prize for the Worst ever sewing job.
Still cool here so we will be welcoming the heat. Boys were in our pool on Sunday............water was only 70 degrees.
I can't believe we leave here in 12 days. :woohoo:
Joan

Hi all,

Sorry I forgot the little detail of count. Rosie is correct, no change as of today. count remains the same. It's not to late for anyone to join:love:

FYI for anyone planning on doing laundry. Deck 7 is now Key cards only and is $2.00 wash & $2.00 dry. Doubled in price. Other's are sure to change.

We have a tentative booking for this cruise (read: no money down...yet). Unfortunately we are being held back by expensive flight prices from Toronto. No deals from Buffalo either. :( This cruise sounds WONDERFUL!!! My kids (4.5 and almost 3) would love it!
Please hope that we can find cheap flights soon!

here's hoping things work out for you!

We're back from Dutch Springs and Walt is now certified to dive. they had a ball yesterday, and were even able to complete their first dive after the certification process. I practiced for my excursion in GC also by hitting the nearby outlets and shopping! I told my husband I might need to practice more next weekend at the outlets in Lancaster. He just gave me that look.

Well. 2 weeks from today we will be in Key West, can't wait! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Haha! I think I'm gonna shop in GC too. You guys were practicing right near where I grew up. Heck, you probably drove right past our exit! Can tell we're from NJ.

Counting down the days ... got all my FE gifts finished, lots more stuff set aside to pack, travel toiletries filled, more ribbons sent out to those who LOST THEIRS (rosie...) :rotfl2:, almost ready yay!!

One last time..............are there only six families in the FE including us?? Just finished up things and want to make sure I have it correct. Can you believe how close the trip is?:banana::banana::banana:

OK, clothes baskets are officially out and bathing suits were the first things added. We officially started to pack. Paperwork is ready, ribbon is attached to the lanyard, and I'm so ready for this trip!!

Yep, that's what I'm counting on. And since I have everything done and packed, I sure hope that's where the number stays! Since we're leaving almost a week early, I had to get this off my list. I have only a few extras of some stuff to give to our stateroom hosts and people like that.

Hi Everyone!!!

Yes the count is still at six families total. Question for anyone that can help on this. How far in advance can you mail a package to the ship. I know it needs to be received by Friday @ 3pm but what if it's early??
Thanks

Boy are we EXCITED! :cool1: So we are flying into Orlando around 11:30 or so and then going to Epcot for lunch and hang out for a while. We are staying at the Radisson the night before and maybe hitting Fishlips for dinner. We ate at Grill's in February and liked it.

My questions are....who is staying at the Radisson the night before and are we still set for a little meet and greet at the Goofy pool (Starboard) at 3pm? :thumbsup2

Mike

Got our ribbons! THank you Lady Lion. I haven't even started to pack. You guys who are done are starting to scare me.

Don't let me scare you! My use of the word "done" was only related to the FE gifts - got that behind me. Otherwise, I have piles of cruise stuff in every bedroom ... and other rooms too! On the day we leave, it will be DH's job to pack it all into the suitcases that are also set out all over the place. (Because if I do it ... he will "un-do" it ... since it's, like, a guy thing to pack the right way. ;) )

And if DD doesn't stop taking clothes from the cruise pile in her room and wearing them ... AGGGHHHH! ... we're bound to forget something.

Mike

Hi Mike - we're not staying at the Radisson ... but we'll be at the Goofy pool at 3pm. If, um, we can figure out which side is Starboard. :thumbsup2

I don't think we ever set a time & place for meeting on Sunday morning. Anyone?? If I had to throw something out, I'd say 10:30 in the Promenade Lounge? Unless something is already scheduled that I missed ... or unless folks have other suggestions.

Starting to REALLY FREAK OUT about the packing. I seem to have way too much stuff and when the suitcases are packed tight before we get there we have a major problem. Time to start pulling back on the clothes, etc. I managed to get through packing for Xmas last year but this seems more stressful with all the dress attire. So many shoes!!!!! :rotf

What ever time you decide for Sunday should be fine with us. Just let us know what you decide.

Cheers
Joan

:cool1: :cheer2:  :cool1:

Whoooooopieeeeeeee! We just booked our first cruise!
DH, DS (4.5), DD (almost 3) and I will be joining you all on this cruise! We are BEYOND excited! Gosh, now we just have to book our flights.

Is it too late to get in on the FE? No worries if it is, but if not, we would love to join in on the fun.

Ahhhh, I am sooo looking forward to this. So little time, so much to do! Packing, shopping, and some of this :laundy:!

We just finished up our All Star Tournament and did not come out on top yet had a great team. Can't believe we are 10 days away!!! from "the Horn"...okay yes I know it's not all about the horn (it's about the Bahama Mamas!...:lmao:) but it is very cool!!! And omgosh we have Father's Day and DS13 birthday..he'll be 14...between now and then! YIKES! I haven't even begun the packing. Swim suit..sunscreen..we're good. :rotfl: oh ya...toothbrush.

DD has been busy at door magnets but we are opting out of the FE...but it looks like alot of crafty people out there with great ideas!

Oh ya...can I ask how many have passports for their kids? We opted not to do it. DH has one though. Just curious. Everyone have fun on this countdown....it'll be here before we know it!

Everyone have safe trips getting to the boat.
