~June 27, 2009 Western, anyone?~

I have no idea how to do a poll, so I'll just ask everyone to post their favorite Disney songs. Please!!!

gosh this is a hard one. I can name a few

Pirate them song
Reflections (Mulan)
Best of friends (fox and the Hound)
Baby mine (Dumbo)
Part of your world (Little Mermaid)

so does anyone out there like to Karaoke?????

What grade do you teach? I am going to be busy this morning as I have a whole bunch of year-end teacher comments to translate, school here ends on Thursday for traditional calendar and June 24th for year round.

I just got two FE's from eBay. A little pricey but considering I have no time (or skills) to sew it will save some time.

Mary and Belle: I told DH about the 11 pairs of sandals and he said "why do you need so many"??? GUYS!!! I think I'll stick to my original plan.

I need to lose about 10 pounds FAST. DD and I bought these matching dresses (if you look at my FB photos, my DD is wearing it in the pictures with her bro). It fits a little snuggly on the chest. Let's see how that one works out. I am going to try to walk between now and the cruise (yes, I am an optimist).

Last question: Did we decide how many days for FE gifts or are we just going to be surprised??? Either way is fine with me.

Have a great Sunday, I have to work and then go to yet another graduation party...

Rosie

Hi Rosie,

We decide on 3 days for the FE gifts. Both days at Sea and CC day.

Take care,

Alisha

Hi everyone - I have ribbon orders ready for Rosie, Michelle, Joan, Sue, and Karen.

Still have lots of ribbons left and would be happy to send them to anyone else over the next 3 weeks.

My FE is a disaster, but it will have to do. Tried to follow the 'no sew' instructions but would have been less time consuming to buy a sewing machine and get myself some sewing lessons. My children are consoling me like I consoled them when they were young and frustrated with a project!! Please don't anyone look too closely or bring anything too heavy, cuz it will probably fall apart...

Definitely don't need to bring a plastic tie to lock it to the fish, nobody would want to steal this thing!!!

So here is my latest cruise tip - to those families who haven't yet joined the FE exchange, please join us ... and please simply hang a shopping bag from the fish - it's much easier and just as effective!

Hi Mary,

Did send you my info for the ribbons?? It's sad when you can't remember (LOL):upsidedow

Wow! you all are way ahead of me. Putting together outfits and sandals to go with, hmm. I am lucky to have my 6 bottles of wine in the rubbermaid tote! Priorities! I think next weekend MIGHT be the pretend clothing packing weekend. But I wear all my clothes so they won't stay packed for long.

DS16 is getting is lower wisdom teeth removed on Tues afternoon. So we stocked up on juice bars and ice cream today. He wants to get a truck load of mulch tomorrow. Uhhh i don't think so. I have enought to do and mulch is not on the list. and he will not want to finish what he started after his teeth get pulled. teenager.

DH is working 12 hour days until we leave on the cruise. So, not much help there. Gotta love military life. He did help today by going down the packing list and getting things from around the house that we already had like the wine, clothes pins, highlighter, etc...

Anyways, I might find time to check back in next week... have fun!

Oh, I forgot, I am on Facebook also. send a PM. I spend more time on FB b/c it is linked on my cell phone.

Sending some random posts so it will let me PM. My favorite Disney songs:

Kiss the girl
Circle of Life
Colors of the Wind (my DD plays this on the piano)

Hey, we're starting to "gather" too at our house, we have a spare bedroom I'm starting to put all the "pack early" stuff into like toiletries and stuff we won't wear in the next three weeks:hourglass. Trying to keep this a secret from DS11 which is VERY hard:rolleyes1. Speaking of which, I know I've heard of a lot of people with girls, any pre-teen boys out there:magnify:?

Our boys are 12 and 13 -11 months apart in age. :scared1: I'm sure they will be interested in meeting up with some other kids in their age group. We will be staying at Beachclub and then moving over to Old Key West for our last two days before the cruise. Can't wait!!!

Hi Mary

Just wanted to let you know that the ribbons have arrived!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to make them and send them.

Cheers
Joan

Hi mackeyapp and ljm23,

I also have a 12 year old son who would love to make friends. We will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for 3 days before the cruise.

Alisa

Cool, we'll have to hook them up at the goofy pool. We aren't going to the parks before the cruise :-(

Trying to keep this a secret from DS11 which is VERY hard:rolleyes1.QUOTE]

How on earth are you doing that? I bought floor seats to a concert that my DD is dying to go to, now I'm dying to tell. I almost broke when they arrived in the mail today. When I got tickets to see Miley Cyrus in 2007 I contained it until my DH got home from work. You would have thought I'd won the lottery. I could never keep a cruise a secret.

I think I missed the details on when the meet is on the ship. When is it?

Hi mackeyapp and ljm23 and Irishbear,

I have a 13yr old son that will most likely be up on the Sports Deck shooting hoops if any of yours are interested. He LOVES it up there....hoops and the ocean...really any sport but until they put a baseball diamond up there hoops will work!

Hi mackeyapp and kittyscrap1 and Irishbear
I hear ya! Only for my Michael (11) it would have to be a football field!:cheer2:

David loves basketball. He will definitely be up for that. Loves almost any sport, sounds like they will be all set.

So, I blew the whole surprise thing yesterday. I was on this website, and forgot to shut it down. David came in to use the computer...and the surprise was history.

If any kids are interested in emailing with Katie (10) or David(12) let me know and we can exchange emails. Not sure if David we do it, he's more of an IM, texting kid, but Katie would.

Alisa

Hi all! OMG, I have had several wildly hectic days ... just got back to these boards ... and have a bunch of pages to catch up on!! :scared1:

Let me try to address anything sent to me, hopefully I'll catch them all.

Alisa and Charleen, I got your ribbon 'orders' and they will go out in tomorrow's mail.

Alisha, yes, you sent me a PM about your ribbons. But I'm worried that you should have received them by now. If you don't get them soon, let me know and I'll send more.

Joan, glad that my package got all the way to Canada! Yay!

Losing 10 pounds - yeah, me too. I had been doing really, really well ... eating right, exercising ... until the past few days. Ugh, it's a losing battle. Because we're all gonna gain 10 on the ship, it sure helps to start the week 'down' a few.

Favorite Disney songs - 'I Won't Say I'm in Love' from Hercules. 'If I Can't Love Her' from Beauty & the Beast stage version. Two from The Lion King on Broadway ('Shadowland' and "Endless Night').

AND ...

But probably my favorite music also includes the whole score of the musical "Aida" which was written by Elton John and produced by Disney.
My DS school did it in his Freshman year and it was a m a z i n g...

OMG Rosie!!!! Aida is our all-time favorite! Saw it several times before it left Broadway. DD was in it a few years back (DS worked backstage ... before we talked him into auditioning). We are DYING for their current director to choose to do it sometime. Two favorite songs are 'Elaborate Lives' and 'Not Me' but love them all.

I haven't been on facebook in a few days. Rosie, I see that you've posted stuff to me but I'm sorry I haven't responded to it yet. I will try to find the rest of you and 'friend' you. (I really should post a photo of myself but for now you get to see my puppy.)

Joan - we have to set a time & place at OKW to say 'hi' ... let me know your thoughts. We can e-mail about that rather than bore everybody else. :) There was somebody who posted several pages back about staying at OKW also, but I'm not sure who it was. If you're reading this, let us know if you'd like to meet sometime at OKW before heading to the port on Saturday.

Whew! I guess that's it. I can't WAIT to meet you all, this is gonna be fun.

Anybody else need ribbons? I'm about to make up a bunch more.

Did all of you who PM'd me get it? I was out of town so I couldn't send it. I think I caught up...
Plans are changing fast, DS doesn't feel up to diving in Cayman now (don't blame him, it would be his first 80 foot dive after certification) so DH is going by himself. We might do the beach thing.

After reading some reviews about the Wave Runners at CC we might cancel those two. $320.00 for 45 minutes at slow speed just doesn't seem worth it (have any of you done it???).

Formal night: I think the guys are going to do black shirts black pants and red or white ties. But DD and I still have nothing to wear... what I have is appropriate for winter, not summer... (and it's a little tight :headache:).

I forgot to ask: do we have a set number of days for FE or is it up to us? Do we have the latest list of participants?

Off to the movies with DS (he's feeling rich after graduation)... then to buy supplies for a shindig the theater group at DS high school is doing on the 20th...

Have a great day...
Rosie
