~June 27, 2009 Western, anyone?~

The goofy pool at 3 works for us as a 1st chance to meet some fellow DISers. Might be a good time for some of the kids to meet, also. We still plan on doing the meet before Key West that Ladylion suggested. Let us know where and when for that one.

Sounds great! For the meet on Key West day, maybe we should first poll everybody to see if anybody has early plans/excursions off the ship that day? The Lion family is just gonna 'wing it' so any time is fine for us ... but does anybody else have something planned in Key West in the morning? Otherwise, maybe we can say something like 9:00 or 10:00 ... maybe at the Promenade Lounge?

We're doing Key West on our own, so no time frame really. The only thing we have that morning would to be attend the church service on board if they offer one. In the past , it was usually about 9:00 and lasted about 30 minutes. Not sure what time we're getting to the terminal Saturday, but will try our best to be at the Goofy pool at 3:00. If we miss you all, then we still have Sunday!

What time do we get into KeyWest? We are doing it on our own so no time frame here.

Happy Tuesday!!!

Just checking to see if anyone wanted to join in on the FE exchange that hasen't already. Also to see if everyone that PM me received the FE list. We got our documents yesterday!!!:cool1: I am soooooo excited:yay:. Since this is our first Disney Cruise I just don't know what to expect!!

We don't have any plans in place for Key West so I'm would say we can make it to a meet and greet too. :thumbsup2

I printed off the list for the FE...thanks. When do you think we will know for certain the number of families involved?

Take care all
Joan

Hi all,

I'm a real rookie at this message board stuff. I just now figured out how to reply. I forgot to mention in my previous posts that this trip is a surprise for my kids. So though I am sure they would love to start emailing people now, that would give away the surprise.

I have a couple of questions. What exactly is an FE Exchange. There is so much talk about it, and I don't know what it is. (Rookie again)

Does anyone know about Mr. Sanchez's Beach Club in Cozumel?

Has anyone used Captain Marvin's for snorkelling?

Thanks for all your help. Hopefully I'll get better at this.

Alisa

Hi there Alisa! Welcome to posting!! Don't worry, some of us know how to post but we're not too great at other stuff - like making FEs and posting photos! (well, I'm speaking for myself)

Here is a link that describes FEs:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607

Hope you and your family can join in the fun!!

I don't know about Mr. Sanchez, but Captain Marvin's was great when we did it a few years ago. I hear it's still a good way to go.

ZDARA - yes, I got the FE exchange list. Thanks for coordinating!! Also, I'm not sure what time we get into Key West, might need to dig into some recent navigators to see if it says. I can't do that now cuz I'm off to Annie rehearsal... :cool2:

I thought I saw on my paperwork that we got into Key West About 11:30 am, but I could be wrong. I'll try to remember to pull out the paperwork tonight to double check.

Thanks for the fish extender explanation. I saw they do sell them on eBay. What types of things do people put in them. I'm not sure how much I could fit in my luggage, but it sure looks like fun.

If you go over to the DCL Forum posts, there are several that talk about FE gifts. Here is one. It mentions CDs but if you read through, you will see many other ideas. Gifts can be very simple and inexpensive. I've chosen some things that will not take up much room in our luggage.

We finally got our docs yesterday!! :cheer2: And, yes, I too saw the 11:30 ashore time for Key West. So meeting earlier that morning should work out for many of us.

Got my ribbons in the mail today!!! Thanks Ladylion

:dance3:

Oh, great! I hope that they weren't too smushed. I sent out some more today.

If anybody else is interested, please let me know, I have lots of ribbon left.

Joan, I put a bunch of stamps on yours, let me know if they reach Canada!!

Got our ribbons today too, thanks so much LadyLion for taking the time to do this for us! Still searching for another bathing suit, but the hubby's suit does fit!

Hey Rosie - how was your emotional weekend?? I'll be going through that graduation trauma in just a few years. I hope you're doing okay!

Hi Mary!
I am in Arizona visiting my mother at her skilled nursing facility so I haven't been around the boards so much. I feel like a kid who missed three days of school and now I have to catch up.

Anyway... oddly enough I was pretty calm at graduation when he got his diploma and stuff. Lost it just a bit during the valedictorian speech, that guy sure knew how to speak. At the party we just had plain ole fun. I was more emotional at awards night and the year-end concerts.

I'll try to read through the whole thread tonight and figure out where I am with FE and stuff. My room will be the one with the paper bag hanging from the fish...

We are traveling on the 6/27/09 cruise (after just having to reschedule from our original 8/1/09 cruise) and need to find some pre-boarding buddies for my girls--especially my 13 yr old!

We just discovered that our oldest won't be in the teen club but will be in the "tween" club and it may help ease her frustration if there are some other somewhat mature 13 yr olds to hang with in the OQ area.

Please post if you have similar ages going on this trip!

Catching up on home stuff today. Here's a question... how many of you parental units in this lovely group have Facebook?
Mary, I got the ribbons, the expression on DH's face when I explained was priceless.
See you all later!

Thanks! That would be great. Unfortunately, I haven't earned my ears yet so I cannot PM with email address. I will try to hit the boards a little this weekend and try to elevate my status :surfweb:
