Shopped for DH a new suit today. We are ready, except for the FE gifts.

mom2m2j - yes, we're almost ready too after some successful shopping last evening. Except this FE stuff!! I set all my FE materials out today but have no idea how I'm going to put it all together. I hope to finish it somehow tomorrow because we have several very busy weeks ahead and I'd like to get this behind me ...

ZDARA1999 - is the count still the same? If so, the other 12 people are gonna be spoiled because I started getting some things together and was counting on lots more!!

LadyLion, I have my FE things layed out as well. My DD's keep asking when I'm going to get it done. Hope to post a pic tomorrow.

DH has said our crackberries will be left in the car! IDK about that..... Can we use them in Key West with out additional charges??? He says he doesn't want his work contacting him at all unless it is an emergency and then it will cost them money not him! "I will be on vacation for real this time." per DH.
DS and I will be on Facebook and e-mail withdraws by day 2 if we don't have our crackberries. Dad says no internet plan on board. And he won't pay for one month of international for one phone. Torture.


WE GOT OUR DOCS LAST NIGHT!!!! via UPS. We did the wrestling match of who was gonna open the disney mail (we knew it could have been one thing)...

Oh, Guys are still not trying on clothes and DS16 got snippy when I brought home sandals for him today. "I didn't tell you to buy me these." I know what will happen, the day before we leave they will finially get it in gear and decide, "OH, I need this and this and a new belt and shoes and dress socks..." And I'll SCREAM!!!!!

LadyLion this sounds great! Thanks for offering to make the ribbons. I will PM you will all needed info. We will be at the terminal early also, we are coming in from WDW. We are starting our vacation at the Animal Kingdom Villas then after the cruise we are heading to The Boardwalk. I know we were thinking of a cruise meet and I know one of the times mentioned was right after the safety drill. Does anyone want to do this or would you prefer another time? maybe KeyWest day right before we get off the ship? LadyLion when do your passed groups meet for a cruise meet?

I love the ribbon idea and yes, thanks to LadyLion for making them! I am up for a cruise meet whenever and wherever. This is our first cruise so I figure I'll let all you veterans decide the best time. We'll be at the cruise terminal early on Sat morning. Taking a 10 AM shuttle to the port from the Radisson so I'll be looking for the rest of you early birds!

Hi everyone - I have ribbon orders ready for Rosie, Michelle, Joan, Sue, and Karen.

Still have lots of ribbons left and would be happy to send them to anyone else over the next 3 weeks.

My FE is a disaster, but it will have to do. Tried to follow the 'no sew' instructions but would have been less time consuming to buy a sewing machine and get myself some sewing lessons. My children are consoling me like I consoled them when they were young and frustrated with a project!! Please don't anyone look too closely or bring anything too heavy, cuz it will probably fall apart...

Definitely don't need to bring a plastic tie to lock it to the fish, nobody would want to steal this thing!!!

So here is my latest cruise tip - to those families who haven't yet joined the FE exchange, please join us ... and please simply hang a shopping bag from the fish - it's much easier and just as effective!

Lady lion, Sorry to hear that your FE didn't turn out as you had hoped. At least you tried. I took an easier way out. I used the canvas tote bags, some iron on's, and ribbon. My DD's can use theirs after the cruise. I finished it this morning, but can not figure out how to attach the image to my post.

Now I think I figured it out. Crossing fingers.

Hey everyone. We can't wait to get cruising and meet everyone (ljm23 is my DW). On our February cruise we did a meet and greet at the Goofy pool at 3pm. It went very well, we hung out for a while, had a drink or two and then all split for the safety drill . Something my wife started on our last cruise thread was a "picture of the day" post. Post pictures daily of your favorite Disney Cruise moments. It was great because when we got to the Radisson the night before we saw and spoke with multiple cruisers we recognized from the pictures they posted. We also recognized people in the terminal and had a chance to speak to them as well.

I never figured out the attachment either. Even read the how to in FAQ's. I had to upload my photo into a DISer's album, then copied the link and pasted it through the insert image button. Can you copy and paste the text into your reply?

Michelle - wow! Your FE is awesome!! Congrats on a successful project. I'm now SOOO embarrassed to even hang mine in public ... oh, well, we can all have a good laugh over it.

Hi Mike! Nice to see one of the guys jumping in!! You have some good ideas ... I forget which of us is in charge of the cruise meet(s), but sounds like maybe we can do more than one thing. That way, if a family is too busy they will have another way to catch up with the group at another time.

I like the thought of posting pictures ... now if it takes me as long to figure out how to post a photo as it did to put together my disastrous FE ... um ...

The goofy pool at 3 works for us as a 1st chance to meet some fellow DISers. Might be a good time for some of the kids to meet, also. We still plan on doing the meet before Key West that Ladylion suggested. Let us know where and when for that one.

We received our docs Friday afternoon. The excitement is building.

Thank you. We shall see if I get our magnets finished. I also promised my DD's to make them tote bags out of Disney fabric they picked out, and I can't sew

We got our documents today too, Walt had them opened before I even got home from school! I was able to find a bathing suit and a dress this weekend, just need another bathing suit for me and I think I'm pretty set. Walt on the other hand will be like some of the others and try to wait until the last minute. I asked him to try on his suit, he claims he did and it fit, but I haven't seen it on him yet. Sometimes his idea of fitting and mine are two different things! We're up for the meet and greets, just let us know when, although I think we will have to pass on the FE gifts. Thanks LadyLion for taking care of the ribbons, you're the best!
