Another thing some might overlook but may not concern themselves with is the cost of the conversion from US dollars to Euros.

Using DCL excursions your going to be paying in US dollars since your booking it through DCL. If you do a private tour your going to pay Euros. So, if a private tour costs lets say 400 Euro for a comparable tour with DCL, the private tour will cost $144.00 or so more because you had to spend $544 US dollars to get 400 Euro. Plus, any fees you paid for the exchange. Doing that at each port adds up unless your sharing the tour with a large group.

As of today the exchange rate is 0.734970 cents. So, one dollar gets you .73 euro My foreign friends are telling me that it may get worse so you might want to buy some euros now.

We are less that two months from take-off (going a week early) and are so pumped!!

Finally! got the Med DVD in this weekend. Watched it twice, the kid part is really cute. Definitely gets me ready to go NOW! Can't wait til the early cruisers get done and post some stories.

We are going too!! Me, My Wife and 2 kids 12 and 8. This is our second disney cruise and can't wait. make sure you get your tours booked. They are filling fast. also If you have Palo reservations and then booked tours make sure your whole party is booked on the tours. There is an apparent glitch that will not book the primary person on the tours throughout the cruise if you have palo reservations. If you call they will fix it.

I haven't watched it yet (ok, I misplaced it right after I got it and just found it 2 days ago), but I was planning on bringing it to SSR. I knew there was something I kept forgetting to tell ya!

DIS MEET

Has anyone organized a tme for us all to meet at the start of the cruise.

On our last cruise the families from our board got to know eah other well enough that we arranged for tables together at dinner. It was really funto know the dinners sitting around you.

When we signed up, there weren't very many choices left. We did get a late seating at Palos though.

I can't wait for June to arrive!

The closer we get to our departure date for Spain the harder it is to stay focused on work!

Time to lose that last five pounds before we get to Europe so I can enjoy all the goodies!

Thanks for the offer but Ill pass. I will just have to wait for the DVD and my family's passports to show up in the mail!

I've been lurking on the "Taking the Magic to the Med" thread. They leave in less than one week. Many of them have already left and are taking in time at WDW first. Lucky ducks!

I just keep hoping that they will continue posting after they get on with explicit details of every step of the way!!!

It's about time for a roll call here.. the when's where's, etc.
Here goes:

Leaving June 22 LAX to London. Staying one night only.
June 24th to June 27th London to Barcelona. Staying at the AC Barcelona.
Straight to London from the ship on the way back. Staying in London before returning London to LAX.

On other threads, people are meeting the night before the cruise in Barcelona somewhere... many of them at the fountains with the lights..... maybe we can arrange something of the sort....

Without Cheri, we are destined to simply randomly run into each other. Come on, people... we need a plan! Julie

Okay Ill bite I am already supposed to have dinner with TDC Nala @ DLP before the cruise
(if you are listening Sunday Night would probaly be best)

We are in Paris from the 20th arriving in Barcelona on the 25th staying at the Grand Marina, we booked through DCL.
So we could meet up either evening the 25th or 26th, however I have good info that the above mentioned TDC NALA will not be arriving untill the morning of the 27th (Overnight Train I think)

I have limited time in Barcelona, we come in midday on the 25th. Have an all day tour with Jose Solar on the 26th and have to board the ship on the 27th. We could have a morning meet for hot choclate & churos on the 27th if someone nows of a nice place close to the docks.

I think a meet on the ship before dinner would be a good thing!

Do we have a regular dining rotation dinner the first night or is it just a buffet?

Also how about everybody else sofar there are only 3!
