Okay I will make arrangements give me a ring when you get in, I am going into Paris Saturday Morning for a short tour!![]()
It is supposed to open on Friday I am hoping to ride it multiple times!![]()
Besides if that is you holding that AXE I would hate to see you GROUCHY!![]()
Yes, the Elipsos Trenhotel Joan Miro is what we're on. The roomette does look interesting. I've never traveled in a sleeper on a train before. I'm even excited for the dinner and breakfast in the dining car.
According to DCL's website, the port will be open for check-in starting at 10am, but I don't know if that means we can pass luggage off to them for stateroom delivery later or if we have to hold onto our things until they let us go to our staterooms (usually around noon-1pm).
It may not be an issue depending on what time we actually get to the ship. Does the train have a history of punctuality? How easy will it be to get to the ship from the train station? I can't figure out if it's walkable or if we have to hunt down a cab to get there.
We're lugging 2 girls: 11 and 4. I'm already figuring on getting a cab. Do you know what time we can board the train in Paris? I thought the trip was from 8:30 pm to 8:30 am. I was hoping to board earlier so we can have dinner at a reasonable time.
We did get our train ticket last Friday. It looks like a voucher. Will we need to exchange that for actual tickets? It says we have beds 11, 15, 51 and 55. Hope those are adjoining roomettes.
Too many questions... gotta get the t-shirts soon too.![]()

DD18 just turned 18, and is a little sad she won't be at the Stack, but is excited to be able to do the "adult" activities. Does anyone else have young adults going? Perhaps they could start emailing.
Our DD will turn 18 on the cruise and we have a DS who is 15. Let me know if you'd like to get them in touch with each other.
I just sent you a PM with her email. We have DS15 also!
Oh no! I just checked CarolMB's link and we're at the opposite ends of the car!I wonder how hard it would be to trade roomettes. I wonder too how many cars there are per class?
Thanks CarolMB for the link.

That's where we are too - coach 67. Thanks ImprovGal for considering a trade. Guess we'll take a look at logistics when we board. We'll probably do 1 adult/child in room to keep them in check.
We initially tried booking the Club Class since they had adjoining doors, but we were told that it was sold out and only Gran Class was available. It must be a popular train.
Glad we'll "know" people on the train. See you then!

Check out the website Carolmn sent: http://elipsos.com/htm/default.htm?lang=3. to see if your roomettes are adjoining. That's how I found out we were at both ends of the car.
Ooh, the train list is growing too, anymore out there? I'm glad I booked when I did or we really would have missed the train. Actually, I should have booked sooner than I did. Oh well, just glad we got on.

I think we'll stick out pretty easily as well... running late, herding cats, stressed out dad. I'm still trying to convince DH to wear the t-shirts.![]()
Anyway, just printed out the DCL packing list for ideas. We can definitely strike out the tuxedo and gown part right off the bat. I'm trying to see if we can pack lightly. Anybody have a good list to share?![]()
