Hey, I can't speak for anyone but me. You might WANT to "play nice". I'd rather not make a commitment I can't (or won't) keep!

pirate: (at sea, six weeks from today!!!)

Hey I do agree with your thought on airfare (Med Thread), it takes 30 days for pricing to level out I would book between 10 to 6 months out. Gotta do your homework :teacher:

Yeah, those people that fired back to buy it first week (paraphrasing) to save money, obviously haven't travelled a great deal.

It's up to the blue man to edumacate 'em. (Part of my new leaf I'm turning over...)

I was just checking pricing, and it seems to be higher at the moment will definitely have to wait for fall airfare sales to kick in! :surfweb:

I've been up the coast to San Francisco... I am trying to book LA to London via Virgin Air since I have some miles.... they are telling me that you cannot book more than 337 days out. We have a few weeks yet on air.... Has anyone looked into where to stay in Barcelona is you are taking a few days before or after the cruise?

We are going to Aix-en-Provence :artist: (6hrs drive to or from Barcelona) for a week before the cruise and in southern France July & August are high season. I am not sure if that applies to all of that southern Med area. But, I am not sure air prices will come down much if any.

Just an idea, but after the first of the year, as we get closer to sailing date, we ought to set up a few organized chat room nights, where we could have ongoing conversatins about the cruise, etc.

Should be pretty easy to set up.

Excuse me while I just jump into the middle of your thread. We're sailing on the July 18th med cruise, but while we were traveling down to Orlando last week (Thursday, July 27th to be specific), we stopped at McDonald's in Alachua, Florida, and while we were there, we met a family who will be sailing on this cruise - the June 27th one.

Anyway, I forgot to ask if they were DIS Board members, so on the off chance that they are and are reading this thread, please feel free to P.M. me.

Now back to your regularly scheduled trip planning...

Stop drinking (wait till you are on the magic!) will you our cruise is in June :teacher:

Most of us with the exception of the BBM :lmao: are going to do the traveling before the cruise :thumbsup2

We are planning to fly home almost immediately after the cruise! :cool1:

Hence the availability of discounted airfare should not be a problem!
