Alcohol on DDP

I have two questions:

1) At QS (breakfast) - can we grab a canned/bottled alcoholic beverage and bring it back to the room for later? Or do they make you open it right there? In my search, which went back a few years, I have seen both situations.

2) At TS buffets is coffee/soda always included or will that count as our "beverage" and then a specialty cocktail would not be inclusive?

For #2, you can get an alcoholic drink plus the included beverage

We’ve never had to open a canned beverage. We don’t get the DP often but when we do, we do exactly as you asked and take the canned beverage back to the room to enjoy later on the balcony.

I only had DDP twice since alcohol was added, and those were pre-2020, but we used many of our beverage credits on QS closed container alcohol and was never made to open them on the spot.

The only limit we came across was one adult making a purchase using credits could not get more than 2 alcohol drinks no matter how many QS credits were being used. So we couldn’t send one adult down to pick up breakfast for the 4 of us if we all wanted an alcohol option to use the beverage credits. In that case 2 adults (with proper ID) would need to physically be there.
