hahahah! :rotfl2: I will keep that in mind.

I know BBM! After you introduced me to the ya hoo group, I REALLY became OCD!

I'm seriously thinking about doing the RCCL next summer. It's similar to the DCL 10 day, but in only 7 days. I think I'll throw up if I have to see the Magic and I'm not on it! And hear the whistle? I'm crying just thinking about it! We'll see. That's why I'll be stalking the threads.

I'm looking forward to the Poly. Any suggestions on a building?

Will miss you from the trip, I would tell the Boss to shove it as you are planning 1 year ahead sheeesh! :thumbsup2

Last February, and last 3 times at Poly we stayed in Hawaii (Concierge) its the best! great location & snacks! :thumbsup2 or for something completely different go to the Beach Club (Storm Along Bay) my DVC home great location walk to to Epcot or take the boat to the Studios, and go to Beaches & Cream after the parks for Icecream!

I so like the way you travel - the Roy, concierge. Adopt me?

I have been bugging and bugging my boss to approve my vacation for next year and he putting it off. We finally had a discussion about it b/c I told him I needed to book air and couldn't do it until I got the vacay time approved.

IT WAS DENIED!!!! :sad2:  :furious: :badpc: :guilty:

:furious:

Honu13 - sorry to hear the bad news. I feel for you. I am sort of having the same problem, except that I own my own company with my sister and I have not been able to talk to her about taking off 2 weeks next year. I usually only take 1 week a year and she usually takes none. That always leaves me feeling guilty leaving her to run the business alone. I know I will have to talk to her within the next week or so in case I want to buy airline tickets.

Your right it is my sister, all the more reason we don't leave the other one hanging. She has never had a problem with me taking vacations. I was just trying to say 2 weeks is alot longer for her to hold down the fort while I would be gone. Don't take me off of that Slacker Cruise Website Yet!

I just pulled out the atlas with DD for something unrelated to our cruise...
do you realize how far it is from Citiavecchia to Rome???? Cheri is often the last to know Ummmm ... how much of our day will be spent traveling to and from the ship? Is it the same in Florence?

:hyper2: speak to me people!!!

OK here is the map I found online

http://www.romeguide.it/IMAGE/MAPS/provincia_roma4.JPG

I would say it is about an hour away depending on traffic. I also found an Itlaian Mapquest it is 50 miles I could get directions but I am not planning on driving this trip!

Dont worry Cheri both times i was in Rome I drove to Sorrento & Positano on the Autostrada it was quick (Remember the italian driving motto whats behind me dont a matta! :rotfl2: )

Just got off Expedia and noticed their new, outside date of booking is Saturday, July 7, 2007.

Those of you flying directly back from Barcelona can now get rates.

(I'd still wait a while though. I think they'll drop a bit. Just my humble opinion.)

Listen to BBM I agree whole heartedly with him! Especially after the recent incidents in not very merry old england! Intercontinental airfares for next summer are between $300 to $500 higher then this years similar travel dates! They have to be adjusted downwards sometime in the next few months! :hourglass

I still find it interesting that it is cheaper to fly Air France to Barcelona through Paris then Air France to Paris !

Just did a search on my exact flight dates and the cost was $1447 dollars per person or thereabouts.

Back the flights up six weeks earlier, and they are less than $850 per person. I'm holding off on that airfare for a bit longer.

It seems you can bring your electronics to europe but if you are trying to bring them home through London you have to pack them! You cannot carry them on! I dont think that I will be flying through London. I do not feel like having items found missing!

Is anyone else tempted to get off the boat at Civitavecchia with a small bag, spend the night in Rome, and rejoin the cruise in La Spezia? Is it allowed?

No temptation here.... I would guess that if you get off the ship, they're going to wonder why, and will NOT readily allow you to come on at a later port.
