June 27, 2007 10 Night - The Rodney Dangerfield of Med Cruises

London to Barcelona 2 Hours 5 Minutes, Paris to Barcelona 1 & 1/2 Hours add 10 minutes for return times. :teacher:

Yeah I am planning London 1 or 2 Days then Paris & DLP 3to 4 days then Barcelona 2 days! :surfweb:

All plans subject to change without notice (untill I purchase my tickets!) :moped:

I've done two group cruises on Disney (one a board meeting and one a promotional cruise), and on both of them Disney gave us a welcoming cocktail party.

Although we're an ad-hoc group, they would probably give us a meeting location with cash bar Bahama Mama's, etc., the afternoon of cruising.

I'll be glad to work on that the closer we get to the trip if you guys are interested. Maybe you have to have the cruise shirt to get in or something.

Plus, I'll be on the Magic September 2-9 for the Eastern Caribbean cruise. I can scope things out then.

(I gotta think of more stuff to post, so I can get ri of this "Earning My Ears" thingie....) :drinking1

Hey BBM go to quick links-user control panel-edit avatar-edit profile, you can change it yourself!

Just got back from seeing Cars with the Kids Good Movie you have to stay all the way through the Credits! :thumbsup2

Thank you! Learn something everyday on the old Dis board!

Cars is great! and like RJAYL said, you can't leave when the credits start to roll. Stay the extra couple of minutes. ;)

I keep tellin' ya': a party in the Roy. The Captain can hand out invites at the sailaway or in the terminal. :cool1:

I don't think it would be a proper cruise without at least one party :dance3:

(you went on a Disney cruise for a board meeting? Wow! How do I get on that Board of Directors?)

how is that to start? I might play with the colors some more. And find a better map that isn't so blurry.

FYI...for booking Palo, Spa and excursions for this cruise:

105 day mark is 3/14/2007

90 day mark is 3/29/2007

Was a link on another post, so I calculated it. I don't think I'm allowed to post the site here, but if you want it, pm me.

Oh happy planning day!

Ummm, I was president of the organization, and CHOSE where the meetings were! :rotfl2:

We had 12 or 13 cabins rented on a three night cruise. Did our meetings two mornings from 8-noon, and actually got more work done than the normal meeting since we had all meals together and hung out the entire time.

We did it and actually didn't spend much more per person than we'd spent the previous year in Key West.

I have an idea we all get ressies at Palo's for the same time! :cool1:

The Slackers take Palo's (Picture Rodney having dinner at Bushwood! Who do we get to be the Judge?) :dance3: :grouphug: :dance3: party:

I told you Cheri! if you bring the booze Ill have the party! :thumbsup2

By the way where are my photo's on the slacker web site?, I have a feeling you might be up to something! It is not nice to mess with the Captain! pirate: Remember I am bringing the plank!

Don't forget guys and gals, there is a PRIVATE dining room at Palo that will seat between 10 and 15. I've had it on a couple of cruises and it is a really nice touch.

(Rodney, throwing money to the band)... "Hey guys, get some LESSONS!!!"

(Which is not my favorite Rodney line of all time. From 'Back to School'...<paraphrasing> "Bartender, bring a pitcher of beer every seven minutes until somebody passes out, then bring a pitcher of beer every FIVE minutes...!")

HEY RAY: How'bout we have a bring-your-own-"treat"-to-share thingy and food services provides the food for free. We will bring a couple bottles of wine. We usually ship a case, but am not sure how to accomplish that to Europe (all ideas accepted :teeth: )

We should snag the private room as soon as possible and then figure out what to do with it (bridge? canasta? :rotfl2: ...

Ooooohhhh------ can we black out the windows and have our own private showing of "Back to School" ? :lmao: Gotta figure out how Ed can do a Triple Lindy from deck 10 :rotfl:

AND RAYJAY: pix are up but cannot see faces. Please to be sending close ups. Or, I could :artist: my own (Goofy?) :rolleyes1

I think we shoud have the party in your room as it is a Cat 2 Suite and you are only traveling with 4 ! :goodvibes My room would feel much smaller as I have all those bambinos! :thumbsup2 We could buy the wine in Spain!Maybe the booze too! or should we buy the booze on the boat! I will ask again when does the duty free shop open? :drinking1

It is not my fault you shrank the pictures! The Holloween shot was this year! Most of the pictures are of my family (guess who is taking them)! I could scan in some nice racing fotos of me (tough to see my face with the helmet on! :car:

Oh Good night all! I am going to watch the Game 7 for the Stanley Cup!

You were asking about the private room at Palo's. It is strictly for dinner use, and you book it just like any other dinner.

If you want a place to have a thread get together, both times I've had group cocktail parties, we've had them in one of the clubs. There used to be several meeting rooms on board, but I think they took them out for something else.

Regardless, if you guys wanna have a get together, I guarantee you Disney will work with us in setting it up. Just do it with a cash bar and no food, and they'll supply the place and post it on the announcement screens as people board.

Or, we could just have an informal get together the afternoon of boarding on one of the upper decks where they're serving Bahama Mama's.

One thing we COULD do is request dinner seating in the same general area. Looks like most of us are late seating anyway.

I definitely want to buy some wine in France and Spain...rum too! I am open to ANY party, ANYWHERE. I think I'll need to bring some Red Bull on board as well.

QUESTION????

How do you do the multiple quotes when responding? I haven't figured that one out.

Thanks.

Just cut and paste the 'quote' and '/quote' notations for the second, third, etc. I'll send you a bill.

What is the normal procedure for bringing wine on board? Once you fill me in, I'll ask my traveling buddies in Scotland how they would handle things. They do international travel all the time, so they should have the details. Probably make the most sense to just buy in Barcelona.

I will do the Triple Lindy if and ONLY if I can find one of those 30's era one piece bathing suits to wear. Gotta be SHARP, ya know! :smickey:

I have an idea we all get ressies at Palo's for the same time!

It had better be on the last night so we dont' all get banned from there for the remainder of the week.

We can book 105 days too! :cheer2: I'm more likely to do Palo on our own however, since we can only get it once. :(

I sent Soccermom a link to Verizon's international service to put on the web site. I'd already talked to my business account guy about getting a cell that I could use next summer to talk to my office, as well as allow my wife access to her family.

It's not cheap, but you can rent the phone for around $50, and the calls are around $2.49 a minute. If you limit your useage, you should come out ok. (Still beats the heck out of ship to shore)

Most domestic phones won't work in Europe. I have a Samsung phone/PDA, and the upgrade to it actually will. I'll probably upgrade my phone right before we go to Europe.

I'm sure there are other services available, (I'd welcome seeing them), and some of them are much cheaper, but require a European number. That defeats MY purpose, as I want to make it easy for business and family contacts to call us if needed.
