June 26 - July 3 on the Magic

sum41gurlie0270, i noticed that you are 16 and your brother is 14. my dd, catherine, is 16 and my ds, ned, is 14. i know they would like to talk to fellow cruisers. i think the girls will have to start because adolescent boys have limited social skills. let me know if it would be ok for catherine to contact you.

We're done! :p

We just booked our shore excursions! I wasn't kept on hold, got a CM instantly and it sounded like I was her first call!

We got everything we wanted. St Maarten we're doing the regatta, private company on St Thomas for beginner scuba diving, On CC Wild Side, Sea Horse Catamaran/Snorkel AND...my kids talked me into parasailing and my 17yr old promised to go up with me!

Whoo whoo!!:Pinkbounc

Leslie...

When does Laura get back from SC? My dd is ready to talk to someone her age about the trip!

Holly

Holly, laura emailed Mckenna on sunday. perhaps i got the address wrong.

i know laura has been checking at least 2x a day.

Finally, I had to make my decisions. That doesn't mean that I won't change my mind fifty times between now and June 24th, but it's a start. We're doing Golden Eagle Catamaran and Coral World. I want to ride bikes at CC, but I don't think we'll need a ressie for those. Now, we just need to count down the days.

CRB#33- Yes, I know you are kidding.

I booked the Sea and See and the package on Castaway Cay that includes snorkel, bikes and floats. We haven't really decided on St. Thomas yet.

Did anyone get upgraded yet!?!?! I am praying that some of us do:worship: Wouldn't that be cool? There seems to be plenty open on our sail date.

Now I have to concentrate on dieting so that I can fit into my summer clothes:scared1:

laurenk, just curious - how do you know there are open staterooms? i know the website is still taking reservations but i wonder how many are left. a smaller crowd would be ok with me.

leslie

Leslie- Hi! I will try and explain my reasoning-

If you act like you are going to book a cruise it will give you the staterooms avaiable( only a certain amount) on DCL, and other websites. Also, by two months out on our October cruise there weren't very many categories open for a party of 4. For example, there are a very limited amount of category 6 staterooms that will hold four. So far, if you are a party of 4 you can still get most of the categories.

Was that confusing? I tried to be clear, but let me know if I wasn't.;)

laurenk. i tried the website but didn't get the info i was looking for so i will take your word for it. in any case, fewer passengers means a hammock for me on cc.

it appears that we are going to try kayaking at st martin. even ned wants to go. jet skis on cc were rejected. the kids are not interested in an eco tour and want to ride full throttle which i don't believe is permitted at cc. we might them elsewhere if they are available.

other than the rainforest at the spa i plan to do nothing except read and crossword puzzles. i will probably walk deck 4 on sea days. tom and i like sessions. they make a great champagne cocktail and you can talk or listen to music at least until the piano player comes in. ned and i usually attend the cooking demonstrations.

Hi all!

I haven't booked St. Maarten yet. We haven't decided, but we know we're not going to do any of the more popular excursions. We also may just go off on our own. My DD is a French student and she is very interested in walking around Marigot. I may look more into that.

We are doing the 5 star on St. Thomas. I was torn between that and the beach and snorkel tour. I just didn't want to take a bus ride on those roads :teeth: I'm worried enough about sea sickness.

Lauren did you book your Sea and See for the morning or afternoon? That looks kind of neat.

We also booked the parasailing on CC. But if you want to do it and didn't get booked in time, keep calling, because I have a feeling two of us may chicken out.

Now it's time to research the spa!

Boy June is just not getting here quick enough!

We booked our See and Sea for the morning so we can shop after and get back to the ship.

My mom and I are going to try and book the Spa Taster. Have any of you ever done this?

We are also going to do brunch at Palo's. Maybe we can try and book it together if anyone else is interested.

My wife, daughter (5), son (6), Mom & Dad will be on this cruise...out 3rd in 3 years.

We can't wait!!!!:Pinkbounc

Glad to hear from you Weegl...your 3rd cruise in 3 years, I wish I was in your family. LOL We're traveling with 2 girls (5 and 7), so we'll see you in the club. Also have one set of grandparents with us. Our group sounds similiar to yours. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

We are very interested in the brunch. I want to make sure that we don't go early on the day of our Character breakfast. I wish we knew our rotation before we boarded. The obsessive planners would love to know every detail. Any suggestions on days or times?

What are the opinions on Palo's for dinner? I don't know how interested we are in the dinner. The only menu that I don't really like is Animator's Palate, but that restaurant is so cool for the kids. Maybe we'll double dip that night. I could do 2 desserts!

Palo Brunch-

I know it will be a sea day;) , and I will try and figure out what day we are trying for tommorrow. I will gladly book us all together if I get a count. I "think" if we have a certain amount we can book it ahead of time. I might be totally making that up.

As far as dinner, we only really enjoyed the pizza, and dessert. Our main courses were nothing to rave about. There were 6 of us who all agreed last time that it was just okay. I think part of the problem was that we missed the company of our servers that night.

My update on my diet for the cruise is that there is no diet so far:eek:

WEEGL- Welcome! Our sailing companions have a DS that turns 6 on the cruise. My twins are 10, and it is me and my mom sailing with them, leaving the husbands at home this time.::yes::

Can't believe how organized everyone is!! We just plan to go to a beach so my son can rent a jet ski-that worked well in cozumel last year. Also I know DH will have o try a casino--saw one not so bad with a hotel-maybe we can use the pool while he loses our money. We have early dinner and are on deck 8 also. I think my parents and brother's family are on deck 7.
Can't believe it will be here soon.
Are many people at the radisson-or is everyone switching to ronjon? We are at the radisson-arriving around 3.

Our family just recently booked this cruise. My family (4 of us), my brother's family (5) and our parents are all going. We are celebrating our parents' 40th wedding anniversary. My parents don't know about it yet-but they will in the next few days. We are sending them cryptic Disney cards telling them to get ready for something big at the end of June. I am on these boards all the time getting information and good ideas. My family has cruised Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. THis will be our first cruise with the mouse! I can't wait!
