June 26, 2011 5 Nights on the Disney Dream!!!!

I would really love to meet up with everyone, especially since we are participating in the FE. But, I made an appointment for the spa (back in March I think) for 2 - 3:15. So I think that means I will miss the first meet??

How else can I catch up with everyone? I would LOVE to do some wine tasting on the afternoon at sea. I plan to be on the beach all the other afternoons .

Thanks!
The meet starts at 3:00 so we might still be there when you get out:confused3
Several of us are getting the lanyards too (red with white writing and name tags) so they are a good way to spot one of the group as well.
I'll probably be shooting for a wine tasting on the afternoon of the sea day so I'll hang with you:thumbsup2

My boyfriend who lives in Pennsylvania got his today, but I didn't get anything here in Virginia.

Talked to my TA yesterday....nothing yet :confused3
Hope they come soon....especially since I have a cruise before this one.:scared1:

Another Virginian still waiting:sad2:

Okay guys.....I need some help. I am starting to panik. I have kinder graduation the morning that we are flying out and I am SO behind on everything for this trip. Not the usual me.

I know that somewhere someone posted the schedule for theme nights, pirate night, formal night (?), etc. I wrote it down but can't find my entire pad of information. I also cant remember the dining rotation based on other 5 night cruises. I also printed out the map that was made for FE:thumbsup2 but it's missing.

Does anyone know where abouts any of this stuff was posted? I will try to go through all of the pages sometime but thought you might be able to help me in my panic mode:upsidedow

I registered online and checked in but printer wasn't working so I have to do that.

Haven't booked airfare, hotel or car yet. Had to wait for school schedule:mad:

Also trying to figure out my handmade FE gifts....I have my idea but can't find my darn items!

So much homework toward the end of the school year that I can't even find time to make dinner!

Cannot wait to get on that beautiful DREAM in about 40 days!!!!

First, welcome!! You are going to have an amazing time! The best place for general info is the FAQ sticky on the main cruise board. If you have any specific questions, ask away. We are a fun helpful group!
You will definitely want to befriend your neighbours and score a peek in the royal suite -- it is supposed to be amazing

I received my cruise documents today here in New Hampshire! I too love the spiral bound booklet. This is a nice touch by Disney and much easier to keep everything together.:thumbsup2

Getting closer!! I can't beleive we are only 35 days away! My son still does not know about the trip yet! We are actually booked in October and on the Wonder to Hawaii too and he doesn't have a clue! HEHEHE! Can't wait to see his face when we surprise him.

We got ours a few days later. My DH was teasing me about how excited I got when they arrived. Our 6th cruise, but I still get a thrill when the cruise docs arrive:laughing:

Sounds like you have alot on your plate:hug:
I'd get those plane/hotel/car reservations taken care of as soon as you can.
My kids love the candy in the FE too so that's an option if you find yourself getting too overwhelmed.

Welcome aboard craner :welcome:
Like Lisa said the FAQ thread is a great place to start:thumbsup2
I had a friend tell me once she was glad that I hadn't told her everything about the cruise because she loved being surprised by all the cool things onboard:goodvibes Read through the navigator every day to make sure you know what is going on. They are available at guest services and your stateroom host will leave one in your room as well.

Lots of fun things to do and the food varies a bit depending on where you eat. I've never found it bad, but the food in the main dining rooms has varied from mediocre to wonderful. The adult dining in Palo is always great. My family has always had good luck with the room service as well. I guess the pizza sold at the fast food decks near the pool is the only food I wouldn't recommend.
Ask away if there is anything you are worried about:thumbsup2

We got that spiral bound book last summer as well and I love it too:thumbsup2

Wow, you are great at keeping secrets:thumbsup2
I'd have caved by now:rolleyes1

Can't wait to hear how that Hawaii trip goes. If they had it during school break I would have gone for that.

I noticed a thread on the main boards about the mixology classes. I meant to post a link to it here but got distracted and forgot. Anyway, they sounded like fun and the post said something about there being only one class on the cruise and it being limited to 10 or 12 people.

If anyone is interested in that class I would recommend getting tickets for it at guest services as soon as you board. That's what I'm going to do. I'm also planning on a wine tasting and maybe a martini tasting if I can find someone else going-but will wait to buy those tickets until later. We can chat about that at the embarktion day Dis meet.

Looking forward most to the Aqua Duck, Castaway Cay and Remy:woohoo:

okay found the thread on the mixology class

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2725060

I would recommend making sure you eat something before going to one of these.
Also don't feel like you have to down every drink. Someone else is definitely drinking my classic martini as I know I don't like those.

This is not going to be my last cruise so if I don't get into the class I'll just try again next time.

Has anyone else gone to see the new POTC movie?? I've gotten to see all of them on Disney Cruises at one point or another, so my hope is that they are going to play it one night on the aerial screen.

Only 32 days away!!

We went on Friday.popcorn:: It's a lot of fun....I sometimes wonder about reviewers....I mean, it's a movie about Pirates, by Disney....reading some of the reviews you would think they expected a documentary or something:confused3

My DD and I both enjoyed it and would go see it again....but I wouldn't bother with 3D -- neither of us felt it would have added anything.

I don't pay any attention to reviewers at all anymore. Like you said, they want "real", they want a "message," while I want to be entertained. What's wrong with that?

Crystal,

Thank you so much for giving us the spot when the Oswalts had to back out.

Karen, Peggy, and Peyton

Howdy all,
Since one of our cruising families had to drop off of this sailing, there has been a slight change to the cabin numbers of the folks involved in the F/E. For anyone keeping track manually, cabin 7088 has been dropped and cabin 2516 has been added into the F/E. I’ve have also update my ship’s map to reflect this change. For all those participating in the F/E, if you're interested in getting a copy of the update map, here are a couple of options.

Click on this link to download a copy of the map as an MS-Word document that can be printed on a regular sheet of 8.5x11 paper:

Click on this link to download a much larger version of the map that you can then edit or work with in any way you choose:
http://www.mediafire.com/?1p6bg13g0mp297q

Below is a small version of this map to give you an idea of how it will look.
You can save this one as well, but the other two versions will be larger and likely more useful
