June 26, 2011 5 Nights on the Disney Dream!!!!

Ok so im new  Well I was wondering if there is somewhere on here that has a generalized packing list of what I should and shouldnt bring lol. :dance3: Thanks a bunch and I want to be involved int eh fish extender things. Thta looks like a blast. IM so EXCITED:banana::woohoo::cool1:

The list on the main board is an excellent place to start.

I always pack the following:

Ziplock Bags (all sizes), Duct Tape (wrap a thin strip around a ball point pen), Collapsable Laundry Bag, Zip Ties, Safety Pins, Quarters for Laundry, Clothes Pins, Net Bag for carrying "stuff" on shore.

Maybe Dreams will be better than the other ships - Hairdryer & Power Strip was a must for us in the past.

Oh, and after you pack the clothes in your case, take half out. You will not need it!

Cool video Mary Ann! Thanks for posting!

As for packing, my musta haves are:
1. Over the door shoe organizer
2. Quarters and $1 bills
3. Power strip
4. Bungee cord
5. Collapsable laundry hamper
6. Sunscreen
7. Passporter book
8. Journal
9. Zip lock baggies

And I love the idea of packing then taking out half. Mow I just have to convince my DD to do this. On our last Disney vacation, she took 22 pairs of shoes!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1: Keep the suggestions coming! These are great!

BTW, Welcome Cora!

Thanks Aunt crystal lol.

Ok you were right im on the board like most of my day lol. Im addicted :cool1: I wanna start packing now. The kids are soo excited. And I think im gonna go out and get the stuff and make my fish extender this week lol Are we all gonna do that?

You are welcome Dear!

I have a cruise box that I have already started putting stuff in! Every once in awhile, I go thru and reorganize it. I figured I can start unofficially packing around November!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think a good amount of us so far have expressed interest in the fish extenders. I am definately in! This was so much fun!

I've been looking at vinylmations recently and I saw that they have one for the Wonder and the Magic. Does anyone know if they still have them? I wonder if they will make one for the Dream; that would be awesome!!!

Yes I am having a blast researching and looking up information. I think I will be a pro by the time 496 days are up lol. It needs to hurry.

I wish these days would go by faster! Plus my parents refuse to tell me anything about the cruise, so it makes me wonder...

I REALLY want to go!!!!:worship:

I remember before our first cruise how much research I did. And it was a lot! But nothing can take the place the first step you take on board ship. It's incredible. So keep doing your research, and just know it will even be more amazing when the time actually gets here.

Wow, so you and your family were THERE for a part of the DCL history...super cool:woohoo:

Can't wait to get on board and check out the new ship! :cool1: It will be myself and my daughter (12) and my sister-in-law and her daughter (also 12) We have done 4 disney cruises, but it will be the first for the others.
The trip is a gift for the girls for graduating into what we Canadians call senior public school or junior high. It's also a surprise for my niece -- she has no idea..... Let's hope they make it or there will be two very dissapointed moms!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for the welcome. I must admit it's much easier to keep a secret when you don't live close by. My neice lives in Korea so we only see her 2x a year. Count us in for the fish extended thingy. This will be our first time taking part.
I am excited by the amount of interest so far out. Must be the excitement of the new ship!!

The fish thing is a small gift exchange that DIS folks do. You are familiar with the fish that is on the wall outside each Disney cabin? Well, people hang things with pockets on them --the extender -- and folks who choose to tale part put small gifts in the pockets. And there you have the fish extender gift exchange aka the fish thingy.
It is a phenomenon unique to the DIS!!!
Hope that helps!
