June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

Another update of the Fantasy 090511. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We're 7102, port side mid-ship. We'll set up a rest area for all the Pirates walking down that looooooooong hallway between the forward and aft rooms.

It feels like I'm cheating on Disney World, but we may not do WDW before or after the cruise. Instead, we may do Sea World the day before and then spend a few days at Universal after the cruise. We haven't been to Universal since right after the PC cruise in 2008, and it's been way longer since we've done SW. I'm dying to see Harry Potter at IoA, but we never seem to make it over when we do a WDW trip, so this may be the best time to do it.

Gee, it sure would be swell for someone :rolleyes1 to do a map of everyone's room numbers. I wonder if when we get a lot closer-and hopefully someone has more free time and was planning on doing that again.........:rotfl2:

Gosh....I wonder who that SOMEONE (Mike) might be....:confused3:confused3

We'll see what I can do when it gets closer. I'll definitely put together a directory. There are more decks though, so the color coded map may look more like a book if we do that.

Good point- a directory would be dandy too. :thumbsup2

Bummer.
Here is the answer from Jolly Rogers :

Good Morning:

Thank you for inquiring with us.

The Cruise Ships have our boats hired while they are in port ( so is Disney). If you want to book our tour the procedure is to do it straight with the Shore Excursion Manager aboard the Cruise Ship.

Regards,

So I guess this means that we can't book our own. For those who told me they were interested. Please make sure you make other plans.

Thanks for the heads up - well we could always take over the tour pirate:

The biggest problem with going thru DCL on this , is that it would be 2x the price we could have gotten it on our own (Damn DCL Pirates ...LOL ) Thanks for your efforts Laura ... Now what to do in Cayman ... Wahh Choppin ???

pirate:

tharg-1-50-trans.gif

weeks to go to the Fantasy. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I be thinkin' it's probably time to start following the thread fairly regular like... :)

Well I wish you quieter neighbors this time. :rotfl2: This time we have Roger and family on one side and Esteri and fam on the other side.

Hope you don't plan on sleeping because you are staying next to party central!

I was gonna say that we'll the the side that's nice and quiet, but Roger fessed up first. :rotfl:

Yay! I just looked and there are 2 room reviews for my room. They both were positive. They mentioned Cabana chair scraping noises which I expected since we are going to be right below the outdoor dining at Cabanas.
They also mentined a large balcony. It will not be as big as the biggest aft one, but still bigger than typical verandahs.

Yes I read one about ours as well. They loved the location and size of the veranda but don't expect to sleep in due to Cabanas. I think the advantage is that I just chuck food down from up there and save the carrying of trays.

Good thing we tend to be early risers. Roger, you'll chuck food down at us too? George prefers bagels with lox...

Hum... maybe I better go look up a review for my cabin.

All over this. We'll be there before, and will stay onsite (DVC members), but not certain will do Disney parks. We've never sampled the other offerings of Orlando, and it's past time - ya know?

What did the pirate say when his wooden leg got stuck in the freezer?

pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:

Shiver me timbers!

pirate:

A pirate walks into a bar and the bartender says, "Hey, I haven't seen you in a while. What happened, you look terrible!"

"What do you mean?" the pirate replies, "I'm fine."

The bartender says, "But what about that wooden leg? You didn't have that before."

"Well," says the pirate, "We were in a battle at sea and a cannon ball hit my leg but the surgeon fixed me up, and I'm fine, really."

"Yeah," says the bartender, "But what about that hook? Last time I saw you, you had both hands."

"Well," says the pirate, "We were in another battle and we boarded the enemy ship. I was in a sword fight and my hand was cut off but the surgeon fixed me up with this hook, and I feel great, really."

"Oh," says the bartender, "What about that eye patch? Last time you were in here you had both eyes."

"Well," says the pirate, "One day when we were at sea, some birds were flying over the ship. I looked up, and one of them shat in my eye."

"So?" replied the bartender, "what happened? You couldn't have lost an eye just from some bird ****!"

"Well," says the pirate, "I really wasn't used to the hook yet."

Me thinks that between the three of us there will be something going on constantly.

Good thing we tend to be early risers. Roger, you'll chuck food down at us too? George prefers bagels with lox...

I will be up with Andy trying to catch some sunrises, then the food chucking will commence. Bagels are a good choice, more aerodynamic.

Hum... maybe I better go look up a review for my cabin.

I think they will all say the same thing where we are located.
