June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

DCL jacked up the price for our crusie this afternoon. For 2a2c it is up $1,500. :scared1::scared1: We booked this cruise day 1 for $5,200 and now it is over $7,200. :scared1::scared1: Glad we booked early.

Thanks! We had a great time. The kids are both so tired that my son went to sleep with no fuss at all, and my daughter even went to bed early even though they have no school tomorrow (teacher workday!). Glad to be home though.

Katie is pretty observant of her surroundings. If we can keep her from seeing those 'Welcome to <insert state>' signs, we can get pretty far. She might notice when we start seeing palm trees, though, and of course she will realize it immediately when we get to Orlando. There are signs everywhere there. I can't wait to see how far we get, though! We thought about doing the same thing with the cruise next year, but I think we are going to surprise her at Christmas instead.

2 years ago we surprised the girls on a WDW trip.
The morning of the trip Miranda out of the blue says "When are we going to go back to WDW?" I was thinking "In about 6 hours".
Her teacher was in on it and Bill and I went to the school office and asked them to send Miranda to the office. She can't figure out why and as soon as she sees us she said "What are you doing here?" I said "Remember this morning when you asked when we were going to WDW? Well how about if we go now?" She just flat did not believe us. I told her "Go get your backpack and say goodbye to your teacher". It was all I could do to get her to go back to her class. She walked in her classroom and told her teacher "My parents are playing a mean joke on me".
When she finally got to the car and saw the bags she just started crying but her first question was "We're not staying at the haunted hotel are we (to her this means the Grand Floridian) ? Told her no, Polynesian- that made her very happy.
Then we went to get Megan. We told her we were taking her to the dentist and then headed to the airport. She was just like "OK, cool".
I told them to not worry I would never surprise them again since it was too stressful packing for them. They are too old to just throw in massive outfits from Gymboree like I could when they were little. I initially forgot Megan's contacts and we had to run to the house real quick to get them. Poor thign would have missed everything w/out those.

Yeah teacher work days for us too. With all the snow days we've had they took away the school holiday for Feb 21st, which wouldn't have been a big deal, but ...we are going to WDW for that weekend. I'm thinking the teachers are not going to be happy with my two missing 3 days of school after all the snow days:headache:
But the plane tickets are bought so...:confused3

Feel better soon!! My two youngest have this right now. I spent Friday afternoon in teh Ped's office with the youngest. Then spent this afternoon at a minor emergency clinic with 13yr DS. Sore throats, fevers but, not strep.
Of course my throat started hurting tonight.....but, I keep wondering ...does it really hurt that bad or am I just imagining it hurting? lol.
Some days I want a new life. lol.
Hope your two feel better soon too :flower3:
I sometimes get a mini version of what the kids get, maybe my immune system is better or something.

Thanks all for the kind thoughts...

I'm still feeling messed up - and it's odd with the aches and head pressure. Alicia says I have a fever and I don't doubt it - so I took more meds. And now I am beginning to feel better in a NUMB kind of way? You know?? When you can feel the medicine masking your symptomns but you can sort of still feel the symptomns?

My throat seems better but that may just be the meds. I still have chills.

I am still wondering if I need to see a doc - I am waiting for it to get worse then I might go? AND I figure 2 days for a viral infection to run its' course if that is all it is?

I don't like this sickly sensation - at least the symptomns are not out of control or extreme???

And yeah - lets' find a picture to add:

Crash if what you have is the flu they can only give you the anti-flu meds within the first 2 days after the start of symptoms. If your DD was better in a couple of days then you probably will be as well:flower3:

Wow, I saw someone's post on the main boards about the cost going up 1200 in 2 days.
Good to get on early:thumbsup2

Wow, Carolyn had to get new glasses in London last summer as her glasses broke on the plane ride over. I think she missed almost a whole day getting new ones:3dglasses

Glad I got Lasik cause not hearing well and not seeing well is a lousy combo.

Have you guys seen what's happened to the price of this cruise in just the past 2 days? :scared1:

That is too funny! I just hope she doesn't find out somehow. Luckily I can pack for her, but I am trying to figure out how to get cute matching Disney outfits for her and her brother without her getting curious. I know her size, obviously, but things like that have to be tried on. :)

Yes, that was quite the experience! I still feel bad (and probably always will) of how much time we missed out in London because of it. Not to mention the cost of having to get 2 new pairs of glasses. (close up and distance) It was essentially a whole day.

We are innocent :rolleyes1
:lmao::lmao:

See Bob, one minute you think you meet some "nice" families on a Disney Cruise, the next thing you know you're wearing their undergarments, in lipstick and high heels while your wife is spanking another's a&&. Wrong I tell you, it's just wrong.

:lmao::lmao:

I was trying not to laugh so I wouldn't wake Linda. Guess I should have tried harder!

I think we should all get "Not dirty enough!" tees made for one of our District nights on the Fantasy. Tom, your good with screen caps, right?

:thumbsup2

True dat. Jeff is NOT wearing MY bra.... LOL
I sat there saying oh no, my bra is not coming off. He's wearing Doreen's bra.:laughing::laughing:

Des & Cheryl tried to get me to give them my bra... I was like there is NO way! lol! I think Laura's was used.....

Hope your two feel better soon too :flower3:

Thanksl Claire is lots better. Elvis should be soon -- he's trying to get out of doing any school work and is trying to milk *being sick* longer. lol

Jon had Lasik almost 10yrs ago. Now he's pissed that he needs reading glasses.

My eye dr told me what number reading glasses to use if my glasses break -- one for all the time and the other for reading.

I have no idea what our price increase would be since Cat 8B's are no long available. But based on the increase of the current availability, I can only guess it would be around another $1200.

I'm worried for Diane......:sad2:

Edited to add......Yikes! A Cat 10A just showed up on DCL's website.....$1100 more than we paid for our Cat 8B!
