June 22 Magic (Western)

Ok, I have a question for everyone. This is kinda out there but something I was curious about. As I am sure you "hardcore" Disney Fanatics know, Disney's new full length animated feature, "Lilo and Stitch", comes out in theaters June 21 (the day before we board ship). Also, as I am sure you who have cruised before know, there is a movie theater on board the ship featuring Disney, and Touchstone films. Two years ago, when "The Emperors New Groove" and "Gone in 60 Seconds" came out, they were featured on the ship. Last year when "Pearl Harbor" came out, it was featured on the ship. My question, as I am sure you can gather by now is, does anyone think "Lilo and Stitch" will be in the theater on the ship? The only reason I ask is because I am kinda excited by this one (and that is the first time that has happened in a while, although being the Disney faithful I am I see all the new releases). The trailers have been hysterical. Anyway . . . random thought . . . have a safe few weeks everyone. My family and I leave a week from Thursday to spend a week at OKW, then come June 22, we will all be Cruisin'!!!!

Out DOS"s came in yesterday - FINALLY. :bounce:

One question - we booked through AAA, should we get the mug and discount info with our DOC's or do we get them on board?

BuddyWRH, I would think that the movie will be on the ship. We were on the ship last year when Pearl Harbor came out that week we sailed and it was showing. I would think yes.

KimDisFan - We booked through AAA and there is a page in the main name person's documents book i.e. (my husband's) the page in there has a statement that you turn this page from the documents book into the Outside Buffet area or at Preludes bar on deck 4 and you get the same amount of mugs that is booked in your room. Our AAA agent highlighted this for us so we don't forget. Look in the documents book of the first person booked in your room and it should be there.

Talk to everyone later, I'm home on lunch and need to get back to work!!!

Does anyone know about on board credits?

Someone on the boards said they received them with their docs. I was wondering if CC Club did the same or gave them to you on board. Do I need to tell check-in that I'm part of the CC Club?

Whose packed?

Just some questions......... :bounce:

Laura - We had a note in our room last year that said we had $200 CC credit. We just checked in the Guest Services Desk that night and they said yes, we had the credit. You can check your total and what has been sent daily at guest services if you like to keep track of your spending. They print you out a list of charges and it is separated out by person and what they charged at what place they charged it. I have not packed yet, but have lots of piles going on the couches in the livingroom and the dinning room table and the suitcases open all over the place. But not packed per say. Also, there will be a separate check in line for CC members it is if I remember correctly, all the way to the right facing the check in desks. Stay in touch............

Good Day!!

I just wanted to say hello and reiterate how exited we are to be sailing with all of you on the June 22 Magic. The Radisson get together, birthdays and the Sail-away party are on our minds too, so much to look forward to...

We are not yet packing but you can't even tell we have a bed in our
guest room. Ok, maybe you can still see part of the top of the
headboard.

Have fun during the packing process, keep the thread going with
updates, and enjoy.

I'm personally looking forward to meeting you all and re-newing some
friendships from last year's Magic-al cruise.

Thanks... all the best!!

Howard

Wow, the cruise is so close I can almost feel it.

We have sorta started packing (because of my begging and pleading). All the clothes are not in the suitcases yet but we are all figuring out what shoes go with what outfit (mostly my mom, grandma, sister and me), what shoes we need, what we will wear to dinner each night, etc, etc. Also we are trying to figure out how we will fit everything in 2 checked suitcases and 1 carry-on.

I know this has been gone over before, but after the cruise, what time are everyone's flights? We leave for Pittsburgh International on a 1:00 flight.

Counting down the days...

Hi, DisneyGirl--
We are on a USAirways flight at about 1:45 back to Philadelphia. What airlines are you flying?
Well, as Howard said, our guestroom bed is covered -- as we think of something to pack that doesn't need to be used between now and 6/20, it gets thrown on the bed

I don't really panic about packing early because I am a compulsive list maker--I am convinced I could pack on 15 minutes notice with my incredibly detailed packing list, but I know I drive Howard crazy! Only a few more things to buy, including black heeled sandals, camera batteries, and air freshener.

So, has everyone gotten the cruisers list from me? I think it went out to 18 email addresses and I have already gotten replies with supplemental information and corrections. If you haven't gotten it, email me at keenercam@aol.com and I will send it to you. For everyone who has already received it, let me know if you need it in MSWord format and whether there are anymore changes--I plan to send the revised one tomorrow. :)

Also, I am doing another mailing of ribbons tomorrow, so let me know if you want me to send you some with tiny safety pins. :p
And, when you get a minute, please pray we don't get rain here in Delaware Friday and Saturday, when more than 2000 people, including athletes, coaches, and volunteers, will be a the University of Delaware for Special Olympics Delaware's Summer Games.:D Think SUN:cool:

Ok, I can not believe we are but 17 days away from cruising. I leave for Disney a week from tomorrow. As I said we usually stay a week at OKW before we cruise, and so we shall this year. We always drive down too, my mother hates to fly, and well that hasn't gotten any better. But its not too bad, its only about a 16 hour drive. I am getting my packing done slowly. I have to go pick up my sister from prep school on Sunday, so I figure I can start seriously packing then. Just checkin in to see how people are doing as far as preparations. I am excited, I get to go pick up my tux soon. I need to find a pair of shoes to go with a suit yet, and maybe a pair of shorts here and there, but otherwise I am almost finished. Well talk to you all soon . . . have a safe week !!

We signed up for the dolphin excursion at Cozumel at the 60 day point literally at midnight but it was already full! Apparently they were letting people sign up for it early. Does anyone know about this?

Buddy, did dad find out??? Oh, and I need to go shopping but I will talk to you about that later...

I'll see you all in a short few weeks so I can finally meet everyone I've been talking to!

LinnyLye, sorry you didn't make onto the dolphin encounter. I'm traveling with my sister and she made the arrangements the first day available (she had called the day before and they said she was one day early) They told her she was lucky she got the 5 reservations and now I know it's true.

Maybe they'll be a cancellation! I've told my girls if they don't behave in the next 2 1/2 weeks I'm cancelling the dolphin encounter, you may have a chance yet -- they're not very well behaved!

Is having a spare bedroom a prerequisite to taking a Magic-al
Cruise???? :D

I'm going to start packing this weekend! After the US Open.

Just an fyi for all those who did not make the dolphin excursions;
I was told that it was pretty overrated, however, if you want to go, they usually have plenty of openings when you arrive at the National park. It is also less expensive than booking through Disney.

Also, if you don't make it to the dolphin swim, my friend did it in FLA @ Sea World and she said it was awesome! So, you can always book it when you get back or on your next DIS trip.

Hope that helps.....

Yeah, I've heard they were overrated. Last year, I did the dolphin thing they have over at EPCOT and it was awesome. We did more than I had expected. Plus, my friends told me tonight that the shopping at Cozumel was great, so I'm sure I will find something to do that day. Thanks a lot!

Ok, so everyone is probably wondering what is going on with this family!!!! Ok, I'll try to explain.... everyone is getting really excited for this trip, as we do for every trip to WDW and the cruise. Well, Wes is in college and got out about a month ago and he's home. Lindsey goes to a boarding prep school (the same one Wes went to) and she will be home this weekend. We also have another dd (Stacy) who is a lawyer and she's married. They are going on the cruise with us next year. (we keep telling her to wait to get pregnant!)
:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Well, last weekend my dh Wes (the father) brought out all the suitcases and had a trial run getting everything into the car. So now everything is in Stacy's old room. Well, leave it to her, she decided to come up for a few days because her dh is out of town and she didn't want to be home studying for the bar by herself because she felt she would get to distracted. So, everything went from being on the bed to being on the floor. Also, there is various items on the floor of my dh study. So, I guess it is a typical trip.

Roberta: from what I understand, Ross spoke to Lindsey last night. Hopefully her roommate and her other friends did not frighten him too much!!!!

We leave next Thursday after a modified office and head on down. We will be at OKW until the morning of the cruise but we will meet up with everyone in line! Let's see if we can pick each other out!!! No cheating!!! We have to track down a custom agent to get some things registered. I spoke to a customs agent and he said we could do it all when we get there.

Hello, Everyone!

I'm finally all done with school! Hooray! I've packed up everything in my classroom and turned in the checkout sheet. After my niece's graduation party on Saturday, my mom and I can start getting ready for the trip to Florida. It's cold and rainy here today so we are really looking forward to that sunny Florida weather! My TA from AAA called today and said that our Grand Cayman and Cozumel excursions are reserved. We are looking forward to seeing the stringrays even though we don't swim. We are taking the Land and Sea Tour which takes you out to a moored boat that has an observation level under the water. In Cozumel, we are going to take the Sea Lion Discovery tour at the Chankanaab National Park. We enjoy visiting the U.S. National Parks especially Acadia National Park in Maine.

Thank to Keenercam for sending the cruise list! It was interesting to see the variety of ages and the different regions of the country represented on the cruise.

We leave a week from Saturday! Until then, I'll keep busy watching my beloved Red Wings defeat those pesky Carolina Hurricanes. Since the college hockey season is over with, the Red Wings are the next best thing!

I hope everyone is having fun getting ready for the cruise!
