With 81 days to go before departure, I thought it might be nice to get the June 22 Magic (Western) cruisers to sign in, say hello, mention what excursions they are considering, etc. Please leave any helpful tips, information on a DIS meeting on board, etc. Anything you want! Lets hear from you and possibly a few new cruisers we haven't heard from yet. Lets count down to the Magic together.

81 days, I am so excited. Even the kids are getting there. We want to do some of the snorkeling tours. Do you know if they have any dives for people that aren't certified? I have mine but my 13 year old doesn't and he would love to do a dive. In Key West we will prob do a sail & snorkel. I would like to do Stingray city also in Cozmel. Grand Caymen I am not sure. My husband isn't a big beach goer so we might do some sight seeing. I want to get the boys (13 & 16) to do the teen cruise @ Cozmel and the teen trip in Castaway Cay.

I love these boards I wish we were going sooner. See every one soon!!!!

81 days, Wow :earseek: Can't wait!!!:pinkbounc We have the 3 families going altogether. Teens, 17, 15, 14, 14, 13, 11 we adults the six of us. Two of the families have never cruised before, we are going on our 3rd cruise. Plenty of sightseeing in Key West on our own, probably on the Trolley. Grand Cayman, beaching it and shopping, probably going to check out "hell" and Cozumel, the kids definitely the teen cruise and we may do the catamaran/snorkel/beach tour. We definitely need to do a DIS Meet at the sailaway party. Possibly on the 10th deck overlooking the dance floor, just a suggestion. Looking forward to seeing Cam & Howard and Caroline & Mike as we all met last year on the Disney Cruise and are meeting again on this cruise. June 22nd come on get here quick. Stay in touch all you June 22nders!!!!!

Hi all, thanks for your posts!

We are considering a few things for Key West. We did the Conch Train tour when we were there in Feb 2000 and enjoyed it. I am not sure if we will do that again. We are planning on being in Mallory Square at sunset and having lunch at Margaritaville (conch fritters there are great!!). I wouldn't mind sipping a drink or two at Sloppy Joe's either. We are planning to go to Stingray City in Grand Cayman and beach ourselves on 7 mile beach, probably paying to use a hotel beach and its facilities for the afternoon. In Cozumel, we are going to Chakannab National Park for snorkeling, we did this in Feb. 2000 and loved it. We did it as an excursion then, but will do it ourselves this time and save $. It is a short cab ride and then a small rental fee for the equipment and instruction. Then some shopping and dinner - we dined at Pancho's Back Yard last time we were there, it was great. I would recommend it. At CC we will be indulging ourselves with cabana massages (I hope) and the adult beach.

We are looking to expand on our friendships with everyone from the May '01 cruise (Mike &Caroline, Roberta & Ralph) and make some new ones too. June 22 can't come fast enough for us.

Hi everyone! Only 81 days!!! Hard to believe. We are still deciding on excursions..we will probably do Key West on our own. DH is an English teacher and definately wants to visit the Hemingway house. On Grand Cayman the kids want to do Stingray City and we are still undecided about Cozumel. I'm a big history buff and would love to see the ruins but it sounds like the good ones are too far away to do in one day!
I'd love to chat with some other 6/22 cruisers...please feel free to e-mail! DIS meet at the sailaway party sounds great!

Beth

Hi,

How old are your kids? Mine are 13 & 16. Both boys. This is their
first cruise and our second. I just can't wait. I have to plan everything down to the last detail. I don't know whether to do excersions or try on our own. My email is jlabbe@abbot-resorts.com. What's yours?

See ya soon. Only 79 days now.

Can hardly wait for cruise. The sites Roberta has researched have
really been helpful. Will probably do train in Key West not sure about Cozumel or Grand Cayman yet. How do you use hotel beaches? Stingray City sounds like an option for us. DIS meet would be great. Quite a few of us at the Radisson on Friday night so maybe meet poolside to start off the cruise.

Definitely pool side at the Radisson for us, We need to see who all is staying at the Radisson besides us, Cam & Howard and Mike and Caroline and now TennDVC. Anyone else? We can start with a DIS meet at the Radisson and meet everyone else on the ship. These boards I remember from last time suggest that you wear a green ribbon so we can all find each other easier. Anyway, hope we can all find each other and we will definitely have a great time!!!

Hi, we are staying at the Radisson the night before also. We have 2 boys-13 &6--hope someone has a child close to the 6 yr old's age. My parents are cruising also-we all did Disney cruise last Aug. Also traveling with 3 other families with teens. Can't wait!!! Beth

Hi, I am not sure how the hotel facilities and beaches on 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman are accessed and paid for. I started a thread earlier to hopefully get some information from experienced cruisers. Check out the thread and we'll hopefully learn together.

For all of you that stay at the Radisson.

Do you leave your cars there? How hard is it to get the bus to and from the hotel? We still haven't decided where to stay the night before, and you guys are making the Radisson sound like the place to be.

Thanks,

Joanne,

We are renting a car and dropping it off next door. Someone else will have to let you know if it is ok (safe) to leave your car there for the week. I remember seeing a thread that mentioned it was fine to do so. Dave from Marietta commented on it I believe (he knows everything). You should ask at the hotel for information on that or look for advise from a pro.

The Port Radisson has shuttles going to (and from) the port on a regular basis, it should be a breeze to get there. It would be great to have you join the gang at the Port Radisson!

Note: I have heard conflicting discussions on how "nice" the hotel is. We had a great time and we loved it last May. However, there must be an older section where the rooms are not as "up to date" as some other areas. The suites (featuring jacuzzis) are new and beautiful! You might want to ask what section you'd be in if you plan on staying there with everyone else.

Have a great weekend!

Howard

JOANNEL,
Tried to e-mail you at the address you gave on the board but it was sent back. You can e-mail me at corl4@desupernet.net! Any other June 22 cruisers...I'd love to hear from you too!

Joannel,

We have left car at Radisson last cruise. We had no problems. This time we are flying in so will rent AVIS as it is next door at Radisson. We stayed in older section of hotel last time but have one of new suites this trip. It is very convienent to get to the port.

Roberta,

Thanks for reminding about the green ribbon. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Keenho,

I will watch for posts also to see what other cruisers have done.

Thanks everyone.

Hi everyone, hope you checked out the DCL website, the excursions are listed there in detail. I have the DCL forms that have the excursions and the excursion #'s that correspond with each if anyone wants them by email. Our TA sent them to us. I am sure it is the same thing that will come in the mail from DCL as to the excursions. Let me know if you want them by email. I have already emailed them to anyone that I have their email that are going on 6/22 cruise. Keep in touch....Roberta

Count us in. 2 adults and two 11 year old sons. Can't wait. I am so confused about the dining rotations and the excursions. I just need to keep on reading!

Welcome, Lolita to the June 22nd cruisers!! Our friends going with us have an 11 year old son. Are you going down the day before and staying at the Radisson by chance? Most of us that are staying at the Radisson should probably meet at the pool with our green ribbons on so we can find each other. Email us with any questions.
