June 2017 Disneyland Check In!!!

I'm not sure if it qualifies as packing, but we do have suitcases laid out with odds and ends that we don't want to forget sitting on them. I've also been working on my GoPro kit, going through what I'm going to bring versus leave at home, etc.

Oh yeah, I maintain a packing list on the computer that I've had for months. It's got everything from actual items we plan to pack to reminders to do stuff before we leave. I'm far too forgetful to trust my memory alone.

I actually have a trip folder for each trip we have planned, stored on the computer. I have a base packing list in that folder that I move ahead to each new trip, so we work from the same basic list of stuff (food and crate for the dogs, bathroom stuff, travel fan, things like that) that we start with. From there we tailor the list according to whether we're driving or flying, time of year, etc. Some of the list won't be complete until I've had a chance to look at the weather before we leave home, so I'm constantly tweaking and updating as we go along.

We leave in 3.5 weeks. I've been slowly getting some items purchased for our trip. I bought some new clothes so I can feel pretty at DL. I ordered some ears off etsy (little mermaid theme). Ordered a double dvd player for the car although I still haven't decided if we are renting a mini van or taking our new truck. :car: Minivan is $300 for the week. We do fit in our truck but the center seat in the back is the armrest folded up and its not padded the way a real seat is. I'm afraid my dd will be so uncomfortable for a very long ride. She says she'll be fine but I don't know. None of the rest of us fit very well on that smaller seat. DD is really tiny.

We are getting our tickets from LMT so I need to do that this week. My kids also could use some new shoes. They always wear Vans so they never really need to break them in.

I went thru my wardrobe for the week so I know what I'm wearing which day. :laundy:I need to purchase some snacks and water bottles from Costco. And get the care instructions written out for our dog :dog: who goes to the inlaws.

I should make a list of everything I need to pack/bring.

Lastly I need to transfer our Disney Reward Dollars over to my card but I'll wait til a few days before we leave so we can get this months dollars.

I do love planning our trip. :love:When its over we usually need to have another vacation in the works (whether it is Disney or not) so I have something to work on. I love the research and reservations and planning out what we are doing as well as the packing and preparing. :cloud9:

For what it's worth, I've been doing semi-regular scan for info on MaxPass and came across a thread on micechat.com. I don't know the rules on cross linking other forums, so I'll just say look for a rumor post that mentions MaxPass starting June 1st. There's some of the typical speculation in the discussion, and some interesting information from folks who appear to be CMs. I'm not getting all worked up until I see the official word from Disney, but I figured you all would be interested, since we may be the first month to be directly impacted, if the rumor is true.

I hope the MaxPass rumor is true and it will be up and running in June. I would love to use this system.

If it's going live June 1, I'd just like to see them make the formal announcement sooner rather than later. I've said all along, I'd like some time to see how it affects things. At this point, if they were going in early June, I'd hope they would have most of the specifics of the program ironed out.

5 weeks to go for our trip! So, who all are already packing up? :)

Not packed. Not ready. I have gone from feeling like I have soooo much time to realizing I have a month, from today until our trip.

And we're actually going in ten days for just the one day to start our APs and ride Hyperspace before it closes. I am not ready for that either, though it's only one day and part of our camping trip, which I'm also not ready for.

Last week of school next week for our first grader (oldest). Summer is practically here. I need to get my tush in gear.

Hmm...I am not sure how I feel about this. They need to make an announcement. I am still debating whether I should upgrade my DAP so that I can get photo pass. I really want to know how much MaxPass will cost so I can weigh out the pros and cons. I was starting to assume this MaxPass wasn't coming until after summer.

Haven't really started packing (we leave in 37 days for our trip to California, won't get to DLR until our third day). I have been thinking about it, though. Things like "Oh, this is something I'll bring for Disneyland", or "this would be comfortable to wear on the plane". I'll also have to dig up our packing list from our other trips (most recently WDW) and update it accordingly!

I'm so excited!:mickeyjum

So, I have planned just about everything I can for my mid-June trip, but, much to my delight, I now have a second June trip to plan!!! DH and I get an adult's only trip to Disneyland at the end of the month! The timing isn't altogether ideal since it will be the last few days before the 2nd tier So Cal APs are blocked, but we are pretty adept with managing a Disneyland visit with crowds. We will be in the parks 6/27-6/29 and staying at the Park Vue Inn.

I've done so much planning for the trip in mid-June with my DD11 that it feels funny just throwing this second trip together, but we've both been to Disneyland often enough that I think we will just go with the flow and do all those activities it's harder to do when you have your teen and pre-teen daughters with you. I can see us lounging at Cove Bar, spending a few hours at the Trader Sam's just enjoying the atmosphere and drifting from one musical act to another! We haven't been to Disneyland together with just the two of us since before the girls were born so I'm really looking forward to hanging out with DH and just enjoying the atmosphere!!!

I'm always slightly skeptical of MC's rumors. Sometimes they are on-point, and other times, they are a little off. I mean, in the end, they were right that we were getting a Star Wars Land (just not in 2015 as a new Tomorrowland refurb).

I'm kind of excited about MaxPass, so if it's starting 6/1, I'd be thrilled. I'd love to see it in action early. However, with the military photopass available, that part of the MaxPass isn't a factor for us now... So if MaxPass is going, we may just do it for a day to say we did it.

Im not thinking about MAXPASS or factoring it into my plans just yet. I leave Europe on Sunday 18 June, have some things sorted like my ADR and airport shuttle bus and I have day 1 at the park touring plan done, and a rough idea of day 2 and the rest of my days in LA. Im meeting a friend next week and will finalise my plans then. As for packing, I usually start that about 10 days out from my departure day.

I'm starting to shop and pack a little bit. We leave a week from Friday to spend Memorial Day weekend at the Chinati Hot Springs here close to my home. As soon as we get back I'm pulling down the suitcases. I have been shopping for the kids.I have our lanyards ready to go with ART passes and gift cards in them. I also printed out airline tickets, park hoppers, car service confirmations. I bought an inflatable foot bath to take with foot soak, blister cream, those kinds of things. So excited!

Hi! Looks like we'll be going 6/4-6/9! Just booked a 2 Queen Deluxe in Bldg. 2 at Hojo. It will be me, DH, 13 yo autisic non-verbal DS. My 15 yo DS, a trombone player, will be at Disneyland 6/5-6/7 and may be staying at BWPPI, they haven't reserved any rooms yet. We may switch to their hotel but being a planner I wanted to have a room reserved! So excited!

Also forgot to mention that my brother and his friend are flying in from NYC and also staying at the Hojo. I rarely get to see my brother and he hasn't been to Disneyland since he was 6, so this is a very special trip! Need to pick up some celebration buttons at City Hall!

My trip is June 25 to July 2nd.
I'm always thinking about what I'm going to pack but don't actually start gathering the items until about a week prior and if it items I'll be wearing prior to going like jean shorts then I'll wash and put them in the day before.

I'm still thinking about purchasing new luggage.
I have a 24" cheap suitcase that only has 2 wheels and falls over when empty half the time so I'd rather not use that.
Or I have a 28" spinner but its so big and heavy and unnecessary for anything less a 10+ day trip.
I even used the 24" last summer for a 11 day Hawaii trip and had room for souvenirs.
I have my eye on a 24" spinner and with a coupon it would be about $75. I can afford to buy it but I feel bad buying it since I do have luggage.
