June 2014 Discount Watch

Not sure when this summer we might go, but certainly looking for a discount.
Got divorced this year and I would realy love to perk us all up by planning a summer trip.
Fingers crossed I can afford it.

Possible looking at June 15-22 trip. Taking my niece. I was planning on May but my sister & brother-in-law are not keen on my niece being taken out of school

It has been awhile since I have gone in June, I go in September every year. Love the low crowds.

Hopefully Disney will come up with something good no matter what month we go

We might do June 7-14 if we end up not having any snow days that add onto the school year this winter. I'd prefer that, especially since the 1st half of June is more likely to get better deals than the second half.

Those are my dates too. What do you mean about not liking the odds? Did I miss something? I hope not..normally it is 25% do we have reason to believe not this summer? I usually rent 2 nights then go to YC for a week...Maybe I will rent longer this time?

Might as well join. The family is itching to go back and I don't think I'll take them out of school. (Though DD15 says she could miss- high school hasn't been too difficult!) We go to camp in August so June it is. The earlier the better, but it really depends on snow days so I won't know till maybe March what our timeframe should be. Heck, last year we had a snow day in May.

Just started pricing out. We should have enough SW points to fly free. A discount of any kind would be great.

DH is being a Donnie-Downer and saying we should be "fiscally responsible" this year and push it one more summer, but DERN! its been 2 years!!

LOL, it's the opposite here. We added on to the house this year, so I did suggest we not go in 2014, but DH is not cutting out vacations. He works long hours. Vacation is non-negotiable It will have been 3 years since we were at WDW. We did get a room discount in June 2011. I don't know which I'd like better- room discount or FD. I will take either one!

You can generally have a discount applied to an existing reservation. Now sometimes you will have to change resorts to make it work- there may not be any rooms at the discount rate at the resort you are currently booked at.

And if a CM tells you it can't be done, hang up and call again- I had one that told me I couldn't apply Free Dining but I knew that wasn't true so I just tried back.

We plan on going June 6 - 14, 2014 and need 5 rooms for our families. My husband and I have AP's and would love to see a discount for that period of time. Debating just when to book these rooms...use AAA discount now or wait for room only, Visa, General public or AP discounts. Any thoughts???

I just booked our trip for June 7 - 13 at POFQ. I had debated booking my package with AAA, but decided I'd rather do it myself so I can be completely in charge of my reservation once the discounts for my dates come out. I'm really hoping POFQ is included in discounts! Otherwise I'm prepared to change resorts if necessary.
