June 2012 code watch?

That's what we do. I don't mind calling at all, especially if it means saving money for our family trip. I had DH call for me once today as a matter of fact.

WOW! that doesnt sound like much of a discount AT ALL!!??

I would like to call and ask if there was a Pin associated with my name, but I think I'd feel stupid doing it..

is it really as easy as it sounds? Just call up "reservations" and say.."hey is there a Pin # under my name"..and that's it??

ok, so I put on my big girl panties, and I called last night to see if I have a pin under my name and Amelia was really nice on the phone and said she'd check...

so I waited..

nothing..

no pin...

that's what I need one for too, June...

and I could just kick myself..I just this second read on another thread that if you get a pin and its not for the dates you need, sometimes if you call, they can apply it for a different set of dates...

yeah, I found a PIN in my inbox that was for this November/December that I got a month ago...but I didnt do anything with it b/c it was not for the dates I needed...

if I had known then what I just learned, I could have at least called to see if I could apply it to our June dates..

It was a room only discount - I saved $960 for our vacation in June!!!!

6 nights, Beach Club, garden view, 6-days park hopper tix, DxDP, family of 4 with 2 kids, 12 & 10..

I can hardly wait!!

I am so happy for you!!! That is wonderful. I called yesterday morning and I do not have any codes or pins. Had you already booked or did you wait until you got a pin or code? I have not booked yet and I am still waiting on a discount. I really don't know if I should wait until one comes up or if I should go ahead and book and hope something comes up before my last payment. Although I don't think we could pay full price either.

I just called again -- decided I'll just call every Sunday when I have free minutes on my phone -- and she kept me on the phone forever... and then told me no pin.

I was so frustrated.

And then my SIL texted me about the holidays.

I think I'm going to call and check for a code. I've ordered maps, priced out dates and saved them, and ordered the CD. So far nothing. I know it's not a guarantee or anything, but I really, really want to book. It's killing me to not have our trip 'official' yet.

I am hoping that after the holidays & by the middle or end of Jan. Disney will be sending out discounts for the spring/beginning of summer season. We are planning on 6/8-6/16. Trying to be patient! I will be thrilled for even a really good discount on a value resort.

I know! I was so excited when I saw the email because since there are 6 of us we'll be booking two rooms and then I opened it and saw the rate and was like WHAT???

Was really hoping for 20-30% so we could book a Moderate for about the same as a Value rack rate but guess not!

I had NOT booked which was driving me CRAZY!! I knew that my 180 day ADR window was coming up on Dec. 11th and I wanted to book before then so I could make all of the ADRs at one time...

but I had "saved" a reservation in my profile which is why I knew how much I was saving!!

it was a "room only discount", and as long as I priced out the separate pieces correctly (room, tickets & dining) I saved 33% on the room!!! The package I priced originally was around $6,420 (including insurance) and this one was $5,320 (including insurance)

We're going June 8-14

I'm trying to figure out the exact pricing on each piece of the package, but I'm kinda slow... and I keep getting distracted thinking about other things for the trip!!

We also want to go around that time. We are thinking June 11th through 19th. We are hoping that is if we get a code or pin. Come on discount.

I have done the same thing. I am the type of person who books as early as possible no matter where we go and I get everything planned out as much as possible. I would like to just get everything booked if I could. Come on Disney...show me the magic!
