Alamo has crazy low weekly rentals for June this evening...snagged a full size for about $75 for the week of June 4-10.
Also used VISA discount and Alamo Insider discount to get total, with tax and fees down to $75 plus change for a week!
What codes are you using? I'm getting a price of $148 total for a PREMIUM car May 31-June 6. That is about $15 more than my Standard w/ Enterprise.
the pp is using a visa discount, found on the visa web pages and the Insiders discount, found when you log in your Insiders page with your name and password. If you use the visa discount, you will probably be required to pay for it with your visa.
I keep trying, but my rates with Alamo are still high. With the above coupon and ID codes the rate for a premium car June 23rd to July 1st is still $353.03![]()

I used my Alamo Insider (free to join, 10% off) and a VISA discount (ID 7015504; Coupon Code AD2338FDF). You must use a VISA to book and pay for the reservation.
Rates must have gone up since you booked. I'm getting over almost $300. I have a Alamo Insider and plugged in the Visa discount and Coupon Code. Dates 6/9-6/19
Got a Full Size Van (12 or 16 passenger I believe!) for $93 on Friday through car rental savers from Alamo. That's cheaper than any other option I've seen for mid-June (out of Sanford). So what if we look something like the Grizwald's rolling up in our passenger van for that price!Even with the price of gas added in, its still cheaper than a smaller vehicle for the 5 of us.
You'll have lots of room for luggage!![]()
Anyone know why if I use the VISA code for Alamo with no INSIDERS info it comes out a tad less than when I put my INSIDERS number and name in?? EDIT, I see it. using INSIDERS costs an extra $7.50 flat fee for Frequent Travel Surcharge?????
You can remove this in one of 2 ways if you don't want the frequent flier miles:
1. Go in through the "save time" link in the confirmation email and remove the "Frequent Traveler Program Name". This will remove it from this one reservation.
2. Log in to your Insider account under "My Account" and remove all "Frequent Traveler Program". This will remove from future reservations, but might not affect any existing ones, so you might need to do #1 also.
Interesting. So that is the charge for crediting frquent flier miles? I can't imagine the southwest Points I will get from this $386 rental would nearly equate to the $7.50 service fee, so it makes sense to take it off.
