Wow, how did I get 2 days behind? I need to keep on top of this. Spent the evening at Canada's Wonerland after dinner. I LOVE my season pass and how all the best rides are walk-ons after 7pm. Well, minus Behemoth, but that's like....Soarin' at Epcot.

I can't believe I'm already at the end of this month. It felt like it just flew by! One more $0 day to go and I'll have met my quota!

I'm reviewing my progress and I CAN'T BELIEVE I haven't bought any clothes/accessories or The Body Shop this month yet! This is so new for me. Thank you No Buy thread! I couldn't have gone this far without you guys.

Congrats!

DH has decided to have pizza delivered and is paying, but he doesn't have quite enough money so I have to help. So there goes my no-buy day.

Yay for summer! Boo for having to move classrooms....unless you are getting a better one!

Am I reading that correctly? You spent less than a dollar on a swim suit AND a towel?

That sounds like a really good idea! Too bad I'm nowhere NEAR Broadway, but I'll have to see what Toronto has to offer since so many Disney shows pass through here.

I have a costume party tomorrow night that I still need to buy stuff for, but today's a $0 day, hooray!

You are doing a fantastic job! How are you keeping your costs so low? You've spent less than $150 for groceries for the month!

They do offer season tickets here for traveling Broadway shows. For New Orleans, for the 2011-2012 season, there will be 5 shows: The Addams Family, Rock of Ages, South Pacific, Blue Man Group, and The Lion King. Prices range from $128 - $475 per person (based on day of the week and seating location).

Here's the link; you can select the city nearest you (It's both US & Canada):

I don't see Toronto, but hopefully there is something similar!

Another one having to move classrooms. Superintendent decided that in order to purge, she'd order us to move. My class wasn't the worst, and I have done some purging. Unfortunately, my teaching partners have not, and things don't look much different at all in their classrooms. I haven't done the physical move, yet, but will start next week.

I have to move too, but it's because I decided to move up one grade with my students, and will thus have a grade 5 homeroom next year instead of grade 4. I have barely even begun packing, but DH's DD will be with me next week so she can help me.

As far as the broadway shows go, you might wanna look into season subscriptions.
It is a great date night as well!
Good thinking!

My eating out is so high, because my father in law was here with his wife and they are always wanting to eat out, but we pay dutch style. I wish it was more like they wanna eat out and they treat us, but nope. At least they went home now, so we can return back to around $200 a month.
I hear ya! DD is coming home for a visit in July, so I'll have to plan for that one!

Went out and ran a bunch of errands this morning. My first stop was bruggers bagels because I had a coupon for a free bagel with cream cheese which I got with an iced tea. I also wanted to get some bagels and they had a bunch of day old ones left so the manager gave me two for the price of 1. 11 bagels for $2.99 and they are sliced up and in the freezer already.
Good planning on the day olds! And for getting them into the freezer so quickly...:thumbsup2

:eek:am i ever going to see a no buy day again this month:scared1:
Some days are just that, aren't they. BUT just being aware of my spending makes the month a success in my book. ::yes::

I had such great intentions when this month started but I have been HORRIBLE! I mean really horrible....guess I should scrap june and be ready for july.

School's out and my classroom is packed up to move! Now I have time to catch up with everyone! I figured I'd post first so I can't slack off on that.
I did that, too, just to get it out of the way! ;)

That sounds like a really good idea! Too bad I'm nowhere NEAR Broadway, but I'll have to see what Toronto has to offer since so many Disney shows pass through here.
We've done the Stagewest shows in Mississauga. Usually Sunday brunch, and I've quite enjoyed them the past 2 years. We didn't subscribe for next year, but I need to book Mary Poppins in TO asap.

DH has decided to have pizza delivered and is paying, but he doesn't have quite enough money so I have to help. So there goes my no-buy day.
Yep, they'll do it to you every time! :rotfl:

Good for you! I had an EA watch the kids sort THEIR book tubs today and said, "Is that what you call child labour?" No, that's what I call a good use of children's abilities. I'm building their self esteem and muscles (Daily Physical Activity :lmao: ) at the same time! :rolleyes1

Once summer comes, I'll haul my DH and youngest DD in to help. And when my oldest DD comes home, she'll help too and, hopefully, take some of the stuff back with her to Egypt. Lots of room for clutter there!

Ronnmel, Where'sPiglet, and Debbie, I have to move because I'm transferring from grade 4 back to kindergarten. I was transferred out of K involuntarily last year and I'm thrilled to be going back. As to it being a better room, well, I'm going from one windowless room to another, but the new room has green and yellow walls (picture bright chalkboard green) and old one has 1970's brown and orange walls. It's a step up! :)

I got out of Kohl's for $.44 thanks to their Kohl's cash and a coupon! DS 9 finally outgrew his 4T bathing suits and we "splurged" on the new towel for him. Got to love it when you can pay with spare change!

And WHO comes up with the color schemes in schools?! Some of them are awful!

Holy Cow, it's been forever since I updated! I've been keeping track, I just haven't gotten on to post.

June 1 $20 Dh's PT, $35 groceries, $7 took the boys to the movies- tickets were $1 each and I got us all a water to drink, $15 Subway after the movies.

June 2 $6 took the boys bowling- the games were free but I had to pay for shoe rental.

June 3 $40 groceries- had dinner with my parents, they wanted me to bring a few different things so I had to stop at the store and get a few misc. groceries.

June 4 $55 race fees for DH and both boys, $40 celebratory pancakes after the race.

June 5 $90 groceries. I'm hopeful tomorrow will be a no buy day. Getting back in to the swing of this is tough!

June 6 $25 gas- DH didn't know it was a no buy day and he put in some gas. Oh well! $11 car wash-since Dh ruined the no buy day, I figured I'd get my car washed.

June 7 $56 pet supplies, $40 Target, $20-took the boys to ride a local train, tickets are $.75 each, and then out to dinner

June 8 $175 groceries, $57 date night

June 9 $0 :cool1::cool1::cool1:

June 10 $45 supplies for oil changes in the cars. We actually bought enough to cover the next set as well, so we should be golden for awhile on oil changes. Tomorrow should be a no buy day because I have my nephews and DH has to work and there is NO WAY I'm taking 4 little boys 5 and under out of the house by myself.

June 11 $0 :cool1::cool1::cool1:

June 12 $0 :cool1::cool1::cool1: Took the boys to the local swim beach with a picnic. We had a great time and it was totally free!

June 13 $0 :cool1::cool1::cool1: We are starting to get into serious Summer sport season. Starting today, the boys have some type of practice or lesson 5 days a week. The good news is that I might not have the time to spend money!

June 14 $40 renewed my Sam's Club membership. I wish we'd get a Costco up here, I hate Sam's. $40 in Sams, $15 groceries, $17 took the boys to the theater, $20 gas, $55 my cleaning lady came today, YAY!

June 15 $12 took the boys to a local water park, $18 McD after swimming, $175 groceries (holy cow can the men in my life EAT), $25 new t-ball bat

June 16 $0 :cool1::cool1::cool1: Took the boys to our local story teller in the park and then fishing for the afternoon. Great free fun!

June 17 $77 Dh and I both had to renew our fishing licenses, $7 new fishing line, $22 lunch, $25 DS's riding lesson
