June 2011 Code watch...anybody in?!

Hopefully count us in! Haven't decided where we will be staying, only on-site. Debating between moderate and deluxe. I've showed by DH the dining package...he likes the ddp (of course, he loves food and he doesn't gain weight). DH has never been to WDW, so this will be his first and also my son's first time. Last time I was there was in 1993 and 1976, boy has everything change. Bought some books to help me out!

I just got back less than 2 weeks ago, and I thought I had had my fill (thought we'd probably go again in 2012), but here I am contemplating next year. I was looking at other places to possibly go in 2011, but I can't find anything else I'd rather do, lol. Funnier yet, I said I'd never go in June again because we had a particularly hot week (it was at least 5-7 degrees above what it normally should've been), but I'm already over that -- it's just the time of year that makes the most sense for us.

We stayed at POFQ and did the QSDP -- I was very pleased with both of these.

But now I'm contemplating either a deluxe or Swan/Dolphin. I know that if we do the Swan/Dolphin that we won't be able to do the DP, but it may be that if they make changes to it, I might not want it anyway. The only way I could do a deluxe is with a 40% discount -- so I guess I'll wait w/ you guys for some discounts/codes.

I'm in. We just returned from WDW on Saturday, and we will be heading back next June. We won't book anything until the beginning of February. Dh signs up for vacation in January, and we need to see what week he gets. Plus, we would really like to do the first week of June. I am a teacher so I want to make sure that we don't have too many snow days we have to make-up. This year we had 9! :scared1:

We are looking at Bonnet Creek because my mom will be going with us, and the extra room would be great, but I won't rule out on-site with two rooms with a pin code. :cool1:

This is going to be a long year. We just got back June 21st and I am already annoyed that I have to wait so long to book our next trip. I usually don't get like this until winter.

Keishag we love the DDP! We prefer the quick service. Have you ever tried that? You get 2 meals and 2 snacks a day. It works perfect for us, we use it for all of our food and we run out of credits on the last day. We prefer it also because we like to just run in and eat most of the time and not devote so much time to counter service meals every day. Just a thought :)

Count us in! My son will be finishing up 5th grade so I want to do a surprise trip, picking them up on the last day of school and leaving from there. I don't know if I can hold out, I have already started slipping up about it. He loves Star Wars so we want to make sure we do that and we have not done the water parks before so we want to plan that in there too. We always do ddp put I am thinking about ddxp so we don't ahve to bring any food down but if they change it I am not sure we will do it at all! It is just my husband hates to see how much we are paying to eat with the princess and with the dining plan he does not care because it is already paid for. For both of our sanity it might be worth doing the dining plan even if it is changed.:rotfl2:

I have not decided yet where to stay. We have stayed at a lot of different resorts. There are 5 with 1 under 3 so I was thinking about Coronado Springs since this will be out last year being able to do this with 1 room but DH wants 2 rooms at pop but that cost more.

Oh so much to think about and it is still a year away. I am still nervous because we usually go during slow seasons so this will be our first crowded hot time. I keep debating it but I know we can't go any other time.

Since we are looking now for the month of June for our trip we have changed it up a bit. For years we have been trying to get all of the family to go as a gathering event. So the wife wants us to renew our vows while we are down there so maybe the family will go.

Jpaxton1118 pop has some joining rooms but i've been trying to remember what they told me to be able to get one. I know you have to have an adult for each room to book. If i remember i will post it.

We have gone before with my parents and got adjoining rooms at pop. I know that you have to have an adult for each room and we will. I am just not sure if I want to do that or go for Coronado.

That is exciting about renewing your vows. I want to do that one day there. Actually my daughter wants to get married there so I guess I should start really putting the money way now. l

Add us to the list waiting for rates/codes for June. We need to add a day or two after our cruise.

I am in on the wait...except I may be more of July 2011. I don't really want to go in the summer, but we are going with extended family and that is when they go!

I am not counting on a pin code, never get those. I didn't get a bounce back offer when I was there Nov. 2009 (others got them, so I read) so I am hoping for public offers. Looks like they start offering them in the winter. So my question is....Do I book a room in August (when my extended family does their DVC planning) or do I wait til Feb? I am trying to stay at the Poly (my dream:cloud9:) but without a discount I cannot afford it. So do I book somewhere cheaper like Wilderness lodge and hope to upgrade or do I book Poly and then downgrade if there are no offers???? What would other do????:confused:I don't want to get penalized if I can't afford the Poly if there is no discount.

Have others seen summer discounts yearly or just this past year????Just trying to figure out when the best time to book is :confused3.

Thanks Dis'ers

What I did last year in December (for my June 2010 trip) was book at POP and waited for the offer (which I don't think came out until around Feb. 1st). I then upgraded to POFQ. I guess you can do it the other way -- I don't think you get penalized for downgrading unless you're within 45 days of your arrival date (and even then, I think that might just be for vacation packages vs. room only). I'm pretty sure they always have some kind of summer discount. I plan on booking in the late fall and just applying whatever discount gets announced at a later time (like I did w/ this one). Although, this time, we'll probably stay at S/D -- same idea, though.

That's good info. I'm looking at probably the first weekend/second week in June. I'd like to get a room at Pop squared away and then look at applying the discount in Februrary. Is it possible to apply the discount to an exisiting reservation, or would I have to upgrade? Wouldn't be opposed to upgrading though. :goodvibes

This will be my first trip to WDW since I was a little kid, I was so young I don't really remember it. DW has been there more recently, but it's probably been about 9 years for her. Our daughter will be 4 and was at Disneyland when she was just shy of 2 and loved it. Our son will be 1.5, and I hope he enjoys it as much as she did. :P

You can apply a discount after you have booked with a different discount. I do it all of the time. When you call with the new discount they will refund you the difference and they refund it really quickly.
You will be so glad to be at Disney again. You will all love it! :goodvibes

Count me in too!! :goodvibes Next year will be our 3rd year in a row for a Mommy & me trip to celebrate DS's bday.

I am REALLY hoping that there is a bounceback offer available when we go in November that will cover June 2011 :wizard:

I think I finally talked DH into going in June! We went there on our honeymoon in '99. I haven't been able to talk him into going back. Our dd will be 28 months old by that time. I convinced him it would be a perfect "first" trip for her. I also mentioned that I would like to go back yearly with her. We shall see how that goes :lmao: I am a teacher and we are supposed to be done the first week in June. I have 2 personal days so worse case scenario I can use those. We are thinking June 11-18. I have stayed at POFQ the last two trips. We are debating upgrading to WL or AKL. I would even be willing to do Pop if the waits aren't bad for the buses.

I'm in....hoping for a PIN code for June 2011, so that we can add our extra nights (after our DVC stay, courtesy of my parents)....:surfweb: and waiting for some :wizard:

I'm in! We're hoping for some sort of code. We were there in June this year and my husband got all excited about going back again next year. I did too of course, but I was surprised by his eagerness. He's become a Disney nut too!

I'm in! We're tentatively planning on June 2-11. We've never had a pin. Sad, I know. We had the buy 4 get 3 deal on our last trip in May/June '09. We have used the DDP on our last 3 trips but are trying to decide if we want to book it for the next one. There really isn't much savings in it anymore but the convenience is awesome.

Count me in too! Hoping for a pin. We got a couple last yr, but we switched over to the military discount. This year we went at the end of June, hoping for June 4-10th in 2011! :cheer2:
