June 2009 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Canceled

The same thread that I have started, but for April has 154 posts and the one for May has 174 posts so clearly this is something a lot of people are doing. I am confused b/c the only responses I seem to be getting are warnings about doing this, while it seems to be an established practice.

Also people overbook ADRs all the time. Personally it annoys me, but I know that people do it so I'm not worried about that aspect.

Oh well if no one is interested in the thread it will quickly move to the bottom, but I am positive another will pop up soon.

Hi! This is my first post, so please let me know if I'm doing anything incorrectly. I'm looking for Sci-Fi ADRs for lunch or dinner on 6/12. I called first thing this morning (my 90 days) and they're full for both lunch and dinner already! Thanks!

I called for Sci Fi on my 90th day, early, and it was all booked as well for lunch and dinner. They told me it must be a glitch with Sci-Fi, because it was rare to be all booked so early. They offered me Prime Time, which I took, but I called back the next day and after initially being told they were full for Sci-Fi (again), they found me a late lunch time 3:45. I'd say keep calling back!

My fiance and I are bringing his best friend and her children for their first visit to WDW and we wanted to give them a surprise the night of our arrival.

Hey everyone... I tried to get Chef Mickey's for either a LATE breakfast or dinner anytime on Saturday 6/13 but could only get BF at 7:05 a.m.! yikes, that's early!! That is my birthday, the big 4-0 and I really want to celebrate at chef Mickey's but not necessarily at the crack of dawn! so if anyone has a ressie they're going to cancel, PLEASE let me know!! otherwise, I will keep trying and calling to see if anything opens up... thanks!! oh, and it's a party of 7...

Can someone please explain what the process is to transfer your existing ressie over to a friend? Is the only way within the new computer system (ADR is for late June) the old "pretend that you're me" method? If not, could someone outline the steps. (I did search for this info, but found nothing, except for warnings that it can't be done.)

I have a ressie for Coral Reef in late June that I made on behalf of a friend who will be there at that time. The CM who took down the ADR could not find my Name+Zip in the computer, so she used a hotel reservation under my name for my trip occurring in May. I hope that the late June ADR isn't attached to the early May trip, else I fear that Disney may automatically cancel the ressie as invalid.

Is it possible to make a conference call to them and to cancel the ADR under my name and then reserve it under my friend's name in one contiguous step?
