June 20, 2009 Magic

:welcome: Lynn & Sue! The more the merrier. :cool1:  :yay: :cool1:  :yay: :cool1:

Our family has late seating. We had it last time too. We don't mind it. It makes it easier on the port days to have plenty of time to shower & even nap a little.

The "All Hands of Deck" cheese & fruit platter is great. We always order the oatmeal raisin cookies too for the room. My boys love those & I figure they're healthier than the fried foods. You can always order a late lunch from room service too if you don't go to the dining room for lunch or to the buffet.

Today I'm ready for school to be over & we go until June 5th! I'm a h.s. :teacher: Yesterday was senior ditch day. Today they all have Spring fever & no one wants to work or behave properly. Disney Magic :wizard: take me away!

My bananas aren't dancing! I want my dancing bananas!

Ok, I've got to get back to work. Have a great week everyone!

My daughter will be 13 in June and going into the 8th grade and she also does dancing. Ballet, jazz, and modern. They are finishing practice for their spring recital, then we will be on the cruise. Her name is Megan. For the next 2 weeks we are busy finishing up the school year, but after that she will have more time to e-mail if your daughter wants to e-mail her. Will your DD be in the 11-13 yr old age group? that is the one mine will be in.

Also we are on deck 2.

I was wondering if there is anyone that likes to workout? I do light/medium weights, and cardio. Having someone to motivate me to get up and going would be great. Unless my DH finally starts.

i like to workout....also cardio & light weights...i love the cardio onboard....you're looking right out at the ocean, like you're driving the ship! lol my husband will also be working out, but i don't like to workout with him...i like to do my own thing! lol

i also have a daughter who is 12 & will be in the 11-13 year olds. She did dance for years, but now does voice & cheer. She loves singing & drama....we just finished the school play...i can't believe the school year is already almost over! she would love to meet some other girls that r going on the cruise. :)

Welcome to the gang, Sue! Glad to have ya "on board". :rotfl:

My DS and I have chosen to do "Snorkel at Norman Island" and the "St. Thomas Island Tour". I've heard only good things about the snorkeling there, and we try to do that each cruise.

Early dining this time (after four years of second seating). DS was waffling on which seating to take, until we saw the turkey legs were going to be at the Pirate Night buffet (and he wants to have some room in him for that, hehe)....

Welcome Sue! My DD is also 12 will be hanging out at Disney Quest. We're also staying at the Hyatt MCO the night before. We've done this for every cruise and it's worked out so well.

We all understand the need to have at least 10 posts! Just post one after another until you get your 10. No worries!

I am sure my daughter (13) and her friend (13) will enjoy meeting your daughter on the cruise! Look for us at the Hyatt....we will be at the pool!!!! The girls can't wait. Any suggestions for restaurants there?

Well in all the excitement of saying Hi I forgot my son's name. His name is Frank, he plays xbox and online gaming for fun. He takes programing and gaming classes in High School so he tells me it is homework. The only homework he will ever do 3 hours stright I am sure. Nikki is in dance and looking forward to starting 8th grade.

Anyone else on deck 2? Any one else have late seating? We requested LAP because we wanted the 8:00 time but I see that it is all 8:15 now.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.:lovestruc

I think Frank and I are going to get along just fine...

(Note: I'm Smileneyes's son, hence my name. I'm 16, also a sophomore, and am into video games. Just wanted to let you know who I was so it wouldn't be creepy replying to ya.)

Hi Smileneyes's son :cool1: Frank's Mom here. Good to know we have another gamer. I will tell him.

Are we all going to meet the first day somewhere?

Hi, Lynn...I don't think we've gotten to the point of a "yay/nay" on that question.

I'm in favor of a gathering...date and time flexible to the majority. Any other thoughts?

:yay:

I just told my soon to be 13 yr old DD, Megan, about all the other girls on the ship and the ones that dance, and she said she wants to e-mail them before the trip. So any 13 yr old that wants to e-mail my daughter send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will send you hers.

When school is done I will be more excited. Too much going on right now. Which is good because I am not sitting around counting down the endless hours till the cruise,:rotfl: It's keeping my mind off of it.

WOW! How exciting to see all the new people. My computer has been down, actually I had to get a new one. Has there been anymore discussion about us all meeting ?

We are at the late seating for dinner. I see that there are some that want to work out while on the cruise. I am willing to work out with someone.

School is winding down. My college son is out this Friday. I'm done May 22, and my freshman will be out June 6! Then it is time for our cruise:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I am woried about packing especially for my oldest DD. She doesn't wear skirts or dresses much. She is more of a Aeropostle type gal, very casual and whatever feels comfy to dance in. But not the right attire to wear to dinner. So I am now starting to go thru her clothes to see what will do for her to wear to dinner each night. Don't be surprised if she is wearing the same outfit twice to dinner. As these are the clothes that she won't be wearing during the day. She told me she will be wearing her swimsuit mostly all day and just throw on shorts and tank top over it. So at least we have that covered :rotfl2:

My youngest is easy to pack for as she loves to wear skirts and dresses.

I will have to be careful of packign for myself as I will need to bring workout clothes as I plan on working out every day. Especially when we have brunch at Palo's. That morning I will get up early to do double duty of cardio and weights. Gotta pre-burn the calories that I will be consuming :rotfl:! I do plan on wearing some outfits twice.

WE are going to the parks for 4 days before the cruise, so it will be different to pack for this trip as we will be gone for 11 days. I don't think we have ever been on vacation that long before!

my girls 12 and 8 always love making friends on the cruises, usually it's towards the end of the trip before they get to know each other then we are leaving, so they would love to chat with others their age before and maybe hang out onboard, pm if you like and i'll get you an email address for them
