I can't believe it's finally here, too. We also leave at 4 something in the morning. See you all soon!
We're in London on part one of our trip now. We're really taking it easy and recovering from our jet lag. Went to the Tower of London yesterday because DS LOVES the Tower. The Beefeater tour was excellent, and we enjoyed his storytelling. Last night, DS and DH wanted to go to Hard Rock London, so we tried. There was something like a three hour wait to get in, though, so we happened on a nice pub and had excellent traditional British instead. I think we got the better end of the deal, but DS and DH still want their Hard Rock shirts. Sigh.
Today, we're going to The Globe Theatre to see As You Like It. (Remember, I'm an English teacher, so for me this is REALLY BIG stuff.) Can't wait. I know, it's not for everyone.
Looking forward to meeting everyone. Hope your travels go smoothly.
Julie
We were supposed to leave on the 6:30 a.m. flight out of LAX, but our plane's door system was not working. So, about a half hour after boarding, we were told that the flight was canceled and we all had to get off and make other arrangements. Which, of course, meant that we were going to miss our connector in Philly.
We were able to get a direct flight out of LAX to Munich, but not until 9:00 p.m. tonight. Because of the delay, we had 12 hours to kill, so we rented a car (someone dropped us off this morning) and came back home. Crazy!
I hope things get better from here. What a bummer!
Hope everyone has better luck than we've had so far. See ya soon.

We are loving it here.... Las Ramblas is very entertaining. It's humid which we're not used to but it's not too hot so that it's uncomfortable.
We are also here in Barcelona at Casp74. DS 6 woke up throwing up this morning but seems to have recovered. Spent the afternoon on Las Ramblas with CaliforniaGirl09 and family and then wandered the Gothic Quarter on our own. Very cool. See everyone soon.
Hi Calfan and Californiagirl09! If you have no plans yet this evening, come and join us at Mam I Teca. We plan to be there when it opens so we can have a table. We're a family of 4 (Asians). Hope u can make it.
