Kerrie,,, I was actually thinking about going on the DCL transport. We are staying at the Hyatt at the airport. That way we just give them our bags and forgetaboutit. (one word)
I just had our new dishwasher installed this am. Whirlpool gold. I'm anxious to try it out. I am thinking that I will not go to Atlantis Friday. Just seems like too much money. It is going to be really bad here as we start to prepare the office for us to leave. Constant work and extremely late hours. Guess that means that I will really be exhausted on the trip. I am also thinking about doing an upgrade, but not too sure. Will check at arrival at the terminal.

I want a new dishwasher...AND clothes washer AND dryer. Instead i'm going on a cruise to the Baha-a-a-mas Woo Hoo!(to the tune of going to the chapel).
I think hanging out on the ship on the Nassau day will be relaxing. Plus it is such a short cruise that we have to have SOME time to enjoy the ship. Maybe it won't be as crowded too. You can book a couples massage with Angela with the money you will save from not going to Atlantis...surprise her!!!
Good luck with the upgrade. What will you be looking for? Suite? Veranda?

I researched this a little today. I have a few questions for those of you who are members. .........
We are lucky if we get a vacation once a year. Looks like you can save your points from the previous year and combine them for a longer/better trip the next year? Once you are a member do you have access to ALL disney resorts all over the world or do you sign up for only select few resorts? That Maui one looks mighty nice! Are the annual fees very high? The site said the average start up points are anywhere from 210-280...how much total would this cost? And what might that get you? Can you finance the points?
Bill...your last post said something about buy 100 pts and get a free cruise? Where did you hear about that?
Any other info from those of you who are members of DVC would be gladly accepted!

Kerrie,, You need to come with us to the meeting and let them tell you about it. It is like taking out a mortgage on your vacation future. Yes, you can bank one years points and then when the year gets there, you can also borrow the upcoming years points. Get three years of points at once. I think points are about $100 each. So, for 100 points, this would cost #10,000 dollars. there is also a maintanence fee monthly based on the location and number of points. The catch of the whole thing is that you run out of time after about 50 years. It is not unlimited. Yes, you can go anywhere that Disney goes. I think. The Maui resort is not part of Disney, but you can trade and go there. They also just re affiliated with RCI. There will be a new DVC resort on Oahu in the next few years. We are using this years points, the balance of, on this cruise. It is expensive to use points on the cruise line. Cheaper to use cash. The resorts are really great in DVC at Walt Disney World. What else, Yes,, we did finance some of our recent addition. Ladies,,, when is the expiration date, now? DVC reserves the right to take the whole thing at the end and trash it and you have nothing to show for it except 50 years of fantastic Disney vacations. We have been in it since 1994 and plan on our kids inheriting it if we die. We know people that have thousands of points. Incredible!!!!!!!

Kerrie,,,,,, I believe that there is an offer that if you buy 100 points, you will get a 3 night Disney cruise. It may be that this may only apply to existing members, but I am not sure. They usually have a couple of things they offer that are only offered on the cruise. Don't forget . You may want to book another cruise on the ship in order to get an onboard discount. Even if you put money on another cruise in the future, you can change the date of the cruise if you want to and thereby delay paying on it .

Hi Kim,,,,,,, Hey you guys,,,, go over to the Disney Cuise line thread and look for a dine and play thread. It looks like if you are on second dining and you tell your servers at the arrival of dining, they will serve the kids first and then have an oceaneer lab cast member come up to dining to get your kids and check them in right there at the table. WOW!!!!!!!!! I think you don't even have to leave the restaurant at all.

Hi everybody,,,, I'm tired. You're right , Kerrie, too much to do and no time to do it with. Office is still open and I can't get ahead . Never get to go home. Suitcases are in the van , but I don't have time or energy to get them out. Roof needs fixed, just had the roof in the house I grew up in fixed. Now the one here has a hole in it. At least I got the brakes on the van done. Oil change next. Oh, I need to pay to get those darn sticks picked up at my childhood home. That gets done Sat.. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I am going to be sooooooooooooooooooo tired,
I don't think the special service applies to the first dining. Correct me if I am wrong.

I we come back, we will have a better idea of which ones we like. Maybe stay for a few days on the island.

Bill...don't kill yourself. That's not enough sleep. And Angela got even less? How can you guys even function? I hope you guys are planning on relaxing at some point on your vacation. I have tried to keep from overbooking us so that we can get some relaxation time and we don't need a vacation after our vacation. I love the new 24" monitor w/camera/video on it - the two monitors are side by side and linked together
(maybe you have this set up at the office - do you???)

I draw from one to the other and work on both screens at the same time or call my family on Skype and talk and see them as I am playing on my "stuff".

Dagy, Kerrie, Kim, Kay,,,,, I am updating you on all of the things that are going on here with us as it is not good. It is possible , as you will see, that we may not even come down for any part of the trip. First,,,, today, sparky the bassett hound,, whom I love very , very , much, became paralyzed. We are devastated!!!! He has ruptured a disk in his lower back as he wiggled around on the floor on his back after I gave him a bath. He presently is at a specialty clinic in Anderson Indiana where the surgeon does neurosurgery with the hope of recovery. I am closest to Sparky in this family. I spent all day today with him and taking him where he needed to be taken. Kristen went with me. Next,,, I am told that Mammaw , who is 103 and living alone 120 miles from us, is feeling very bad, much more forgetfull and now the phone is off the hook. She is refusing to go to the hospital and has infection on her legs and significant swelling. Since ANgela is the power of attorney, if she gets sick, it would be likely that we won't be there. The stress of Billy harrassing us for a car doesn't stop and the stress of the office is not even started. Nine days left.. I doubt that I will be able to participate in the FE exchange.. I just don't think I can do it(get it done) I'm sorry.. The surgery for Sparky is 1800-2500 dollars. He will get the myelogram in the morning. Right now he is on IV fluid and steroids and iv pain meds. I am having trouble dealing with it. This clinic has two specialty surgeons for ortho and neurosurgery,, two intensive care vets,,, six er specialty vets and one family practice vet. It is 45 minutes away and I will be going there daily. It will hurt Mammaw to tell her about sparky as she loved him too.
I'll try to keep up with you guys. We do have insurance for the trip, but I don't think it would cover a pet illness.
