This will be my first cruise. We can't wait! dd and ds mean disney daughter and disney son. Has anyone made excursion plans for Nassau? We have booked the Catamaran Sail & Reef Snorkeling.

Welcome Aboard. Looks like your 9 yo daughter will be in the club with my son and Kari's daughter!

Good Morning, everyone, Mimmykim, Dagny, Kerrie,,,, How is the gang? it's starting to rain here in Indy. I think i will go to McDonalds and get some grub. I found some articles that said that Jim Nabors was indeed here,,,, and not dead!!!!!! Would have been hard to sing , otherwise.
Kerrie,,, Angela and I trained with critical care during our residency and have had enough. Ball Memorial Hospital was the place and we got tons of experience. I leave that to the inpatient people, now. Swans, pacemakers, dopamine, dobutamine, inocor(are they still using that stuff), Not as an outpatient. What are you guys up to today?

It will be nice to have someone for my daughter to pal around with. Are there any teenagers coming? Sure, I'd be happy to participate in the fe.. I can't believe we are only 23 days out!! Does anyone have Palo reservations? My daughter and I will be dining there the first evening. Enjoy the holiday! Kim

Kim,,,,,, Your son is 13 and I think he will be going to Aloft in the forward smokestack. (that smokestack is not really a smokestack,,,, it is a teen club that is to die for) no parents or kids allowed. However, your daughter being nine will be going for the oceaneer lab. Now,,,, Kristen has always had a good time in the lab. One thing for sure, there will be tons of kids her age also there and also looking for friends. You will have to register her for the lab and you also can get a disney cruise pager anytime you want them to reach you. You will have the option of letting her sign in and out herself. However,,, she must always sign one way or another. With this being our eighth Disney cruise, we now have total confidence with Kristen , Billy and the ship and therefore allow them freedom to roam the ship at will. It didn't happen instantly , though. During normal hours, there are tons of people everywhere and we allowed Kristen to go around the ship with a curfew, initially 11pm. You know,,,, they have a disney film that shows on deck nine and ten on the Dumbotron from , oh, around 11pm till end of movie. I think I remember Pirates of the Carribbean and also Wall-E showing late. Kristen wanted to stay up and watch them. WOW!!!!!!!! Going through the ocean 11pm at night,,, WARM,,,,, and watching a show on a great ship in paradise!!!!!
Don't forget, they have the free cokes and pizza still available, not to mention the room service 24 hours a day,,,, you just have to tip the waiter when it is room service,,, it is worth it.
I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all of the great tips, Bill. The kids have really loved watching the DVD for the cruise, but I don't think anything will prepare them for what is in store for them (and me too). I have preregistered my daughter for the lab. I'll pick up the pager at sometime once on board. I'm trying to do my research.. there's so much to do and see.. I don't want to miss anything, but it's okay if we do. Are you going to WDW before or after the cruise? We'll be there for a week before, staying at AKV. Take care, Kim

Hello gang! Bill, Kim and Dagny...

I had a bad day today! I had a pt. throw a PE on the way to the bathroom. I think he was dead before he hit the ground. He was such a sweet old guy and was just joking with me right before the event. On the bright side though, what a quick and painless way to go!!

Bill...I am envious that you are away from inpatient care...we all have to pay our dues. I have to stick it out till the kids are older and I can get a nice, full time job at a Dr's office. P/S I don't deal with Swans. I do pacemakers, dopamine (in low doses), if they need dobutamine they go to CCU. I don't know what inocor is...I would guess it is a positive inotrope?? We do Diltiazem and Amiodarone alot. Sometimes Lasix gtts. They are making a lot of changes at the hospital where I work. We will be learning a lot of new skills and will begin to get sicker patients. Woo Hoo....more stress at work!

You guys might try going to you tube and seeing what pirate night is like. I bet it is there. Mickey saves the day. Long tables of food serving on deck 9 where the party is. dancing, songs, everybody is happy and,,,,,,,,

Hi Kim...I have a sister named "Kim". I have also heard great things about pirate night and I look forward to it as well.
I'm up for whatever you guys decide for the FE. NO, we haven't decided any of the details. I guess we should figure it out since we are going on our cruise in like 23 days!!!!! Woo Hoo

They have got some stuff from Disney cruise line. Pirate night , Castaway Cay(pronounced "KEY") . I checked with some of the guys that live in the Bahamas and they said it is pronounced "KEY". The videos on you tube are great. It is really getting me fired up. The countdown, pirate night, hearing the Mickey horn on the ship. You guys have got to check it out. Kerrie, I think you were interested in some of the past stuff. We had Boyz to Men perform on the Magic when we went through the Panama Canal. Also, we had the Muppets with Bob Saget, live in the Walt theater. It was tremendous. As I recall, it was also the premier of Twice Charmed. The very first time it showed to a live cruise audience on a Disney ship.

Kerrie,,,, I got your email.. I also got the othere messages , but tried to reply in some manner I have never done before on the boards and obviously you didn't get. I am not active in TKD now. I got a rotator cuff tear and also hip pain and had to stop. I am a third degree black belt and registered in Seoul , South Korea at the Kukkiwon. Have I already told you this? Seems like I have. Angela is first degree black and so is Billy. Angela is quiet , Billy slight outgoing, me- very outgoing. I'll go back to the email and see what else I haven't answered.
