Dagny,,,, good to hear from you!!!!!
It is sooooo cold and lonely here.
I went and checked my email and it doesn't say what time the meeting is. It just says check your personal navigator. It does show a picture of the two DVC cast members that will be on the cruise. It mentions the 100 point buy for members to get the 3 day cruise. We have been at the office all day and will be here most of the night. Little sleep last night either. maybe three hours total sleep. Not packed yet. Haven't arranged for a car either. Boy, this is always like this. It is no wonder(pun) that we get stressed out with every vacation.

This is your first cruise, right? We are going to Parrot Cay restaurant on , I think , deck four in the aft(back) part of the ship. It is decorated like a tropical paradise. You can also eat at Beach Blanket Buffet on the aft of the ship on deck nine. I will Pm you with my cell phone number and if you wish , we can chat prior to the cruise. Kristen wants Parrot Cay and I think Angela and Billy will go wherever. I believe that the food is the same at both places. Kerrie, remember, when you eat at the restaurants, you don't tip. That happens at the end of the cruise. During meals at breakfast and lunch, you eat and then leave. Each of the waiters and waitresses are assigned to a station during the day or have that time off. You will meet your assigned serevers at your first dinner meal Thursday evening. They will follow you to the different dining room each day and they have appropriate clothing for each room. If you guys want to eat with us at Parrot Cay, let me know. It will probably require that we get on the ship at about the same time. Remember,,,,, You WILL BE STUNNED!!!!!!!! Just the sight of the ship is magical. We still get goosebumps when we see it. When we were first on the ship back in 2003 on the magic, we didn't know what we were allowed to do or where we were allowed to go. We were terrified, and it is now hilarious to think about it. I have made some really good friends onthese cruises and still have contact with them. After eating, you wander around the ship(with your jaw dropped in amazment). When your room is ready,, a few hours after noon, you go there and your luggage is outside the door in the hallway. You can lift up the mattress for storage space. We will have to. We have the vacation club meeting (with free hats, per the email) and then upstairs to check out deck nine and meet with Dagny , Kim and maybe Bulldog. Hey, you guys, you are also welcome to eat with us!!!!!!!!!

Sounds glorious! I can hardly contain my excitement. The last time I can remember being this excited was when I was a kid, the night before a trip to Disneyland. (born and raised in San Diego).
I had a SUPER slow day at work today, so the time went by like a snail.
Thanks SO much for all the tips. I read your last one to Kirk and he's getting excited.
I will program your phone number in my phone so that we can call you. I am close to comatose after 3 days of work, so I will call you the next time I get a break from the kids. (never easy to have a conversation on the phone in the Lakin house). You can't hear them screaming and fighting when I am typing can you???? Do you hear it?
I will also call you the morning of the cruise when we get to the port. I have NO idea what time we will get there...I know Kristen likes to stay up late, so I bet you won't beat us there...although you have 2 less people, so maybe you will?
Anyhow, lets just play it by ear and try to meet up for lunch at Parrot Cay. I don't want to stress anyone out trying to be somewhere at a set time...ya know? It's vacation right? Sound like a plan? I know my kids are going to want to hit the pool. We will have our suits under our clothes so we can swim while we wait for our luggage.
NO Fair!! You know what I look like and I don't know what you and Angela look like. I know what Kristen looks like, so I guess I can just look for her.
I thought I was bad...you haven't even started packing yet? You work too much!!! I have the kids packed, but have to pack me and Kirk tomorrow. Is there anything you can think of that I might forget? Did you figure out there was something that you should have brought after your first cruise that you didn't?
Well Bill, I gotta go. I have a 2 year old that needs to go to bed.
I am SO excited!!!!

I am here! Just trying to get all packed up. Things have been crazy at work (I know that none of you realize how that is, haha). Zachary and I did some last minute shopping for him (he grows like a weed) so he is all set, finally!

Parrot Cay is on Deck 3 aft.... If we get there in time, we will join you. They send people up to Deck 9 to Beach Blanet Bingo (that is what we call it, LOL) after PC gets full.


When and wehre is the DVC get together on Departure Day? I didn't get an email?! I definitely would like to do that though... Weird....

Hi Dagny! Is it just you and Zachary going on the cruise? I can't remember.

Well,,,,, it is 3:40 am and I am here with Angela working to get ready to leave in two days. I managed to get a few hours of sleep when I fell asleep on the floor with my arm around Sparky earlier. Sure love Sparkus dog. This is why we hate taking vacation. So darn much preparation. It never ends and we are exhausted when time to get on the plane.

Currently still at the office and don't exactly know when I will go home tonight. Plan to take a limo to the airport tomorrow. Arrive in Orlando around 10:30. Rented a mini van for $199 for a week from Dollar at the airport. Got a great code with really cheap rates for the discount. Plan is to keep it for eight days and be able to run around. I'm thinking that maybe we'll go and see Circ du Solei(?sp) for 30% off from the vacation club.

Hi Bill!

Ran around ALL day today!!! Shopping..spending more and more money. All packed and stressed and ready for a vacation. I want to see Circ De Solei too!!! I saw Mystere in Vegas a few years back...that was AWESOME!!! I absolutely was in awe the whole time. You will love it...don't know much about the show they do in Orlando.
Talked to the in-laws today...they are already fighting. Woo hoo...should be interesting. Can't wait for the cruise. Kirk is 40 years old in 45 minutes!!! He is snoring behind me right now as I am typing...hee, hee. Just realized how old I am when I saw pictures on Facebook of my friend's daughter who just graduated High School!!!
My 19 year old nephew "Billy" is driving us to the airport tomorrow. Cheaper to give him a $20 than to pay a shuttle $50.
See you soon!!! We arrive in Orlando around 10:30 too...we fly from Portland to Atlanta to Orlando. On the way back, it is Orlando, Fort Worth, Portland.
P/S Make sure you bring your FE...I know you didn't have time to do it, but I wanted to get Billy and Kristen a little something anyways. How is Sparky? And Mawmaw?
