Kerrie,,,, See if Kristen can't show Karlie around .. She will like it... Just depends on how nervous Karlie is. We are totally comfortable with the kids having the run of the ship. You will have to see what you think. Kristen,,, what is the name of the area on deck two that you hang out in ,,, where the simulator of the ship is... Ocean Quest? You have got to take Karlie down there. Isn't she old enough to be in that? Kerrie,,,,,,,, you have also got to make time to get some of the sandwiches up on deck 9. Just so you can say you did it. Hamburger, chicken, taco,,,, whatever. So many things to do. Only three days. It isn't enough time. Hey,,,,,, If you book another cruise on the ship, they give you a discount. Put down a deposit and plan for one in the future..l Don't forget that the Wonder,,,, this exact ship ,,,,, will be coming to the Pacific out of LA in the next two years. If you have a deposit down,,,,,, you get the discount. I think even if you transfer the reservation to a later date.

Ummm.... I just figured out a problem.... the Wonder doesn't have ocean quest so i'll be in Aloft while Karlie will be in Oceaneers Lab. Goodness. I'll most likely be up there half the time. :/ I don't know how this is going to work out.

Hello Dagny! Nice to meet you. So far it is just me and Bill who post here frequently. Bill must finally have gotten to work...because I haven't heard from him in over 24 hrs. (j/k Bill) I haven't heard back from bulldog. I am up for a FE exchange. Hopefully we will get more people interested.

Hi Kerrie! Nice to meet you too. Sorry I am late to the game, but I literally just joined this cruise two days ago. The May 10th cruise was awesome! There were over 300 DISers on the cruise. Let's just say that our little sub-group closed wavebands every single night - the cruise staff basically told us to lock up when we left, LOL!!! Needless to say, happy to share all of my gory details with you over a cocktail!

I, too, am up for an FE exchange.... even if it is just the two of us, LOL. My son absolutely loves dropping stuff off so if you are game, so am I I am in a Cat 6 GTY right now so I don't know my stateroom number yet...

Hey Dagny,,,,,,,, Thank goodness you are here with us. I have been on 8 Disney cruises with this one. Dumb question,,,,,,,,, FE exchange??????? What is that? I just don't remember unless I am just not associating at the moment. Don't you think we should probably plan on having the Dis meet on Deck 10 starboard around 4pm? Looks like it will just be us three families ----- We should get special commendations from the captain. Have you ever blown the Disney horn???? Mammaw , who is 103 now, got to push the button on the bridge for her 100th birthday cruise. We also took her on a four followed by a three day cruise last June for her 102nd birthday. Everybody that has been around a while at DCL knows about Mammaw. We had Captain Thord and cruise director Rachel. They were also with us on the 14 day cruise through the Panama canal May 14, 2005. Our server on that cruise was Sylvester. We had Edward as our server last year when we went to cruise the Magic in the Pacific.

Hey Bill! A FE Exchange is a "Fish Extender" Exchange... a small gift exchange among DIS cruise members.... The Fish Extender is actually the thing you hang from the fish outside your cabin so that people can drop stuff off to you. Hehe!!

I am happy to meet Deck 10 Starboard for the sail away party!

That is really cool that Mammaw got to blow the horn - what a treat and honor!

Awww, I totally miss having a 2 year old!!! Mine seem to be all grown up now. Goes by fast... My oldest will be 18 on June 14. She is heading to Europe to stay with my parents for her 18th birthday so she will not be joining us on the cruise. We are leaving my poor hubby at home. Zachary and I were supposed to have a mother/son trip over Spring Break, which turned into a family trip with friends sooooo...l this is my "make-up" trip to him, kinda spur of the moment, but hey, it works!!!

How many are in your cabin (cabin number?) and what are ages of the kiddos - I can almost figure it out from your picture! I like to try to FE something age appropriate, hehe. Any favorite characters ? You can PM me if you prefer not to spread your info all over the boards or if you are booked with Dreams, I can look it up myself..... LOL.

Even though I just got back, I am sooooo ready for another trip. How sad is that?

Hey Bill...below is the reply I got from a DISer when I asked the very same question a few months back--------->

An FE is a fish extender. Basically, outside of your cabin is a metal fish on the wall where DCL puts any paperwork, messages, etc. Many people make a hanging pocket (think shoe holder type thing) to hang from their fish. You go to your cruise meet thread, and sign up for the gift exchange. Each thread has different rules for how they are doing it, so you find out that info there. For our cruise... each family (we had 56 cabins) signed up for 1 night to deliver gifts. Anytime on your day/night, you go around and drop your gifts in the pocket of each DISer participating. You will get little gifts all throughout the cruise. It was really fun for my kids to go back to the room each day and find presents in their pockets.

Whether you decide to join a FE group or not, go check out your meet thread. It is a good way to get to know others on the ship with you, ask questions, etc. Our cruise thread chatted for almost a year, so we felt we were sailing with a group of friends by the time the cruise came around.

I know about the fish , just didn't associate FE with fish. If you guys would like, we'll join in with the fish exchange. We still have an extender that we got with an exchange on the Panama cruise. haven't used it recently, though.

WELL,,,,,,,, Today is the Indianapolis 500. I live about 10 Miles from the track. NO WAY am I going out in an east direction, I live north and west of Speedway. I live near the private airport that everybody uses that has airplanes. tons of them come in here. It's the closest airport to the track, I think. You can hear all of the planes landing( all of the rich guys with planes coming in ) Jim Neighbors will be singing "Back home again in Indiana". A tradition. OH OH 4.7 on the richter scale,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

You are right! He is alive...I googled his name. I guess he was close to death in 1994 when he underwent a liver transplant. Lives in Hawaii and owns a Macadamia nut farm. Maybe he IS singing at the Indy 500?? Enjoy listening to all the rich planes.
It is a beautiful day in Vancouver. Kirk and I played 9 holes...now being lazy.
