June 17, 2016 - Magic goes to Norway and Iceland from Dover

I forgot I joined this group and wasn't getting any email messages to say there were new posts! Hmmm must have missed one.

DH and I decided to stay in London pre-cruise and leave same day in Copenhagen. Having my TA search for a hotel near Kensington. Plan on doing all the walk/ride tourist stuff and then may go to Canterbury for the last night and to Dover from there. Checking on the transportation costs before we decide.

Once I get my hotel, I'll post it here. Perhaps if some of us are staying in the same area we can pool on a ride to the port.

This will be our first cruise as Platinum!!!!! Yay!!!!

I'm so glad you are enjoying the pictures! Even though this thread is fairly inactive, it really helps me to count down the weeks until we set sail so I keep doing it.

I think I reported in an earlier post that we are staying at the Premier County Inn - it seems to be in a convenient location.

We are booked on this cruise as well! It'll be me (Bekki), DH (John), and our two young adult daughters ages 18 (Marina) and 20 (Karolyn).

My younger DD is looking for a cruise buddy since she's never been a fan of the clubs. Now that she's aged out, she doesn't think the 18-20 meetup will work well for her either. Anyone else have a DD of a similar age that is always on the go?

If anyone will be in London pre-cruise and thinks they might want to see the Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower of London, I would go ahead and book that now. It's free (except for a nominal service fee) so even if you decide not to do it in the end, there's no loss. The summer dates are starting to book already!

I am so sorry for the delay for this response but I have not been on this site for quite some time - the holidays got the best of me (plus my kids' schedules suddenly went crazy)! The Ceremony is every night at 9:30 (takes about 30 minutes, I've read). I got my tickets for 6/15, however, I just checked the website and it's currently stating that they are sold out through some date in August. It's possible that could change.
